Hey guys,
I want to convert my atomic rda to fit my reo. I checked out the video on page one but there is no way I let myself do that to my $100 rda. There is a 98% chance I mess it up and that is just too high.
I found a shop and a guy that could do it for me in Atlanta but he will probably need instructions from me.
So now with an atomic should he still go with the drill but trough the post on the deck? Is there anything else I should tell him? And could some once again confirm the still bit size for me?

I would suggest you read the entire thread as there in a new way to drill these. Someone, (forget who), drilled up through the insulators on both sides of the post. There was no need to actually drill the post. I think it was talked about on pg4.
I'm quite possibly the last person on earth that you'd want to do it
trust me. And I'm prolly the last person on earth Vaperite would ever recommend. I went in there 3 times and each time I was pretty much ignored cause I had a killer REO not some tubesteak on a lanyard around my neck and in need of a tankful of juice.
Besides, the steady stream of all those "I need 5ml of juice" or "this tubesteak (that is worth $18 but they paid $95 for) isn't working anymore" marks needed to be tended to.
Come on man. They've gotta sell their vivi novas, vision spinners, twists and juice. They can't be bothered to fraternize with experienced vapers
Oh my god I just laughed so hard. Ok looks like we both suck at vape handy work lol. Can't agree with you more. Everyone in there has one of those lanyards or guy vape purse. Honestly, there were 2 guys playing sub ohm king in the corner and tried to do some cloud chasing or whatever it's called and no joke I get a better more thick vapor out of my reo at 1.4ohm.
However, the guy I spoke to actually talked about a friend he has that only uses a reo and he drills out every rda possible to only fit his beloved reo. That was nice to hear.
Just love walking through the store and seeing ego kits for $60, provari $219 (lol) and mainly everything with a 40% mark up.

But then i can see why a guy with a Reo and a Chalice that vapes unflavoured might be a bad prospect - unless you were buying batteries!

I'm kinda shutting down the mod shop for the spring/summer, just cleaning up some little projects...(when you live/play in the Pacific Northwest you take advantage of EVERY hour of sunshine), but from what I've read the real mccoy Atomic and the Ehpro clone is about as 1:1 as it gets, everything is inter-changeable, so I don't think I'd have an issue doing a real one...
I do have a couple EP Atomics coming for this weekend, I was going to do the HildiQuigs insulator drill on one and vid it, if it works out, and it should, it'll be a super simple, zero stress/take nothing apart method, everyone should be able to do there own (and not just Atomics)

One Problem: I spent all the money for the SL/LP on drill bits, clones etc!

Hey Quigs, what size drill bit are you using to BF the Atomic? Have you tried drilling through the insulator yet? I think that's how I will do the one that is in transit to me. Picked it up last night on Ebay for $19.99 and it is an EhPro also. I sent a pm to Hildicat but haven't heard anything as yet...
Mac, you removed the insulator and cut it, I am wanting to drill it in place without removing the pin like Hildicat did.
