Nice color line-up, you have to give "airy" a fair chance...I remember a 100 years ago when I got my first Zen...airyest thing I ever vaped, thought no way is this going to happen...now I'm drilling air holes that would make the Zen seem tight...it's a feeling that you will adjust to after a while then you won't go back, the flavor and vape production improvement is just too good.

Thanks Quigsworth... I received it in a trade and it was black anodized with the hammertone door. Within a couple days I had it stripped and put a brushed finish on it. The modding I did on the Atomic works outstanding. I wish I knew it was that easy before. I was stressing not being able to drill the center post and with just the 2 holes up the insulator it is sqounking and draining better than my BF Cyclone... It does very well with 75% VG. Maybe now that I'm thinking of it, knowing it is so easy to mod may be a bad thing, for my bank account!!! Possibilities are pretty much endless right now.

Not sure if I am going to like the Atomic too well though. It is airy, for sure. Even with the smallest air holes. I will give it a couple days and see how it goes.

EDIT: NVM Single coil airhole selection screws up my thought about adding smaller airholes.

Congrats on getting the REO back early. I have been neglecting my Atomic as of late, the Oigen has been pulling double duty while I work on a few projects.

Got the Brass Quasar mod into a BF! Works like a champ. Running dual 24g macro coils at .33 ohms with some Koh Gen Do; pure heaven.

Got some bits coming for my Atomic conversion. I may try the insulator trick on my Zenith as well. In the name of science.

I just received 2 more zeniths and I was also thinking about going this route. I'm guessing that the silver plated copper adjustable center pin contact won't be a concern after a good pickling in hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar?

I just ordered the Black Delrin version. I was hesitant at first because I thought that it might hold too much heat in the chamber making the flavor taste off, but I was able to try one at my local B&M from one of the employees and was pleased with the chain vape performance. Then add to the fact that the Black Delrin and Copper versions are the last of the Quasar run, I needed to get one before they are gone for good.

I was waiting for Quigs to mod this, but since it came in today, I went for it anyway. I created a new hollow (1/16") 510 pin from a M3 pan head. I brought the head diameter down to 3.9mm and needed to place a small o-ring to make up for some of the height to get a nice fit in the insulator. The pin is now height adjustable. It sits a bit too high on the V3 Squonker and is slightly too big for the device. But it is an impressive vape.

Could one drill up the insulator on the quasar? I might have to post pics but the 510 pin is in pretty close proximity to the wall of where the threads are cut. I would say like .25mm just by looking maybe less I would have to look and measure it closer. My.top feed rdas are now.obsolete since my reo arrived would love to give my quasar some.attention.

Don't see any reason why it couldn't... I don't actually own one, but in pics it don't look a whole lot different from the Atomic I drilled. I used a #60, (I think), on mine and probably should've used like a #64 or 65. I only drilled 2 holes in mine and could've drilled 4 or 5 if I wanted to. If you had to use something smaller you could always drill multiple holes. Just take it slowly and you should be ok.
