Merry Christmas to you and yours guys!
Well after four years in the squonking rabbit hole, and two years before then in the regular vaping rabbit hole, I decided it’s time to jump into another rabbit hole and join you guys.
Initially I tried to maintain some semblance of sanity and I decided to order a clone before I get to the real thing. However, before the clone got to my hands, I found this beautiful Dober that I couldn’t leave alone. So I ordered it with a Flow V.2 [emoji16]...should get it in 4 or 5 days.
Oh...this reminds me..what’s your experience with the Flow V.2?? Does it do proper MTL??
I know people don’t look kindly upon Odis Designs for a very good reason, but I would appreciate the assistance. [emoji4]

Merry Christmas!
I don’t have any experience with the Flow v2
However, after battling the Flow v1 issues, and finding a build (outside my usual) that works well with it, I can say I do enjoy it.
Purely DL though.
To this date, I haven’t found an atomizer than can satisfy my desire to have an MTL experience with the Billet Box.
Now, I’ll admit, I’m extremely biased in this quest.
Here begins a short(?) tale.
Stop reading here, if you’d prefer the short answer above.
My journey started, 9 years ago as of FEB-2020, with MTL (most people who started more than 3-4 years ago are roughly on the same boat).
Oh those steel wool-looking bridge atomizers, and the funny poly-fill cartos, with their incessant need to be dripped upon.
Then the punch & tank carto days...fond memories.
Enter the Kayfun Lite.
I found my way to restricted lung hits (RLH), and settled in for many years of comfortable vaping, which seemed to peak with the Kayfun v4. (Lots of Kayfun references in this story!)
Then I found a few DL “clouds bro” setups that were fun, and I enjoyed a few thunderclouds for a while...still do from time to time.
But restricted lung hit is my home base.
Calix from ByLeo (rest in peace) v1’s through v4’s cover both DL and RLH, and I love them dearly.
Then the new Kayfun Lite [2019] was released.
I found my way back to MTL in a big way.
I use my nKFLs on my Provape Radius, and I’ve got them dialed down to the airflow of my preferred pod unit (the Phix).
Nic salts at 36mg/50mg depending on the brand / flavor.
29g Kanthal, single wire coil, 2~mm diameter, 8 wraps, 1.5~ ohms, 10 watts, Boost at 4/5 (depending on mood/flavor).
Tootlepuffing away.
Battery life for days.
It’s amazing.
So I started trying to build an MTL setup for my BBs.
No luck.
The VapeShell (with MTL pins) gets it the closest, but there’s one thing missing.
The BOOST feature my Provape Radius has.
I’m sure many out there are familiar with “boosted” mods...which fire the coil at a higher-than-set rate, in order to overcome thicker gauge wires or higher resistance builds, and then settles to the actual wattage setting selected by the user.
This really makes for a great pod-like MTL experience with my nKFL and Radius setup.
The DNA60 cannot do this, at least in an unmodified state (outside of how it is set from the factory).
I have ZERO desire to molest my Billet Box babies, in order to utilize Evolv’s e-Scribe program to explore/create a Boost feature or some such similar situation. (Intentional alliteration)
Therefore, I am left with beautiful Billet Box bliss, using my restricted lung hit builds, and regular old 3mg juice.
Sorry for the short novel. I’m aware a much simpler answer would be sufficient.
But it’s been a long day, with many beers, much food, and I like to let my mind wander and my fingers tap away at the screen, when under such conditions.
