Happy New year all! also WOW took me many many hours to get through this whole thread, I laughed, cried, I am sure I even went in to a corner of my room at one point and shook myself to sleep while crying!

Curious, did anyone manage to get one of new dropped ones, I tried and failed got all the way through to payment got card details in and then dumped me saying now no stock, gutted! :(

Really still not sure on the Cerakote, but as others have said BBV quality is second to non.

Welcome!

I did not manage to score one of the new ones, although I was not really trying.

Interested in a white one...would be nice to at least check out their Cerakote process...I’ve never had any issues with Cerakote’d devices in the past, and knowing how picky BBV is about their products, I’m sure they’ve invested plenty of time and effort into perfecting their process!

Happy hunting!

Hi HBCorpse, yes definitely agree I am sure they have fine tuned and tested the sh*t out of it. Just look at the Burninator machine that they use for the boxes, its basically baby skynet!

Plenty of people out there fully doubting these new boxes, due to the Cerakote...and that’s simply because they assume all Cerakote and applications of Cerakote are the same...which they are not!

Yes, the official product is the same, but if you gave a professional carpenter and an average Joe some 2x4’s, I’m sure the carpenter would make something far more useful and well built!

From what little I know of Cerakote, it can be tailored for specific uses...which means it can be mixed to be tougher for certain uses!

I noticed something new today about the new cerakoted Billet Box. Look at the switch cover.

Stickers peel off easier?

The sticker did peal off easier. But...

There is no hole in the button plate! All of my previous Billet Boxes have had a hole that looks like it is used to hold the button plate while it is dipped for anodizing. If you don't replace the sticker you have that unsightly, partially unanodized hole showing. Now there is no absolute need to replace the sticker.

I don't see it.. ? Is the unit bigger than last year?
D

The unit may in fact be a bit bigger. The Cerakote finish is thicker. What I noticed it is that the already tight VapeSnail now has to literally be pried out of the Billet Box. Another is that batteries with a slightly thicker battery wrap may not fit. In the old unit they were just very snug.

BTW the screws in this unit have been replaced. The stock unit comes with the standard stainless steel screws.

Just bought this

Have been keeping an eye out for rev3

Still, and will always be, the best tasting vape in my arsenal. I don't like mechs, and I have no interest in dealing with them anymore, so nothing beats a Rev3 in that department. Quite simply, there is ALWAYS one active in my rotation.

Nice snag, Doffy!!! :thumbs:

Can't get button side panel off. Any tips welcome

Also don't have Allen key for tank front

Have ordered batteries to fire it up, eventually

OMG, Doffy. :ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:

I'm sure there's a way but those panels weren't made to be removed. Back then, there was no need. It was cartos, then the one Bridge that fit like a carto, and that was IT.

I don't believe I've ever seen a Billet Box kept quite so...

So...

So...

I got nuttin'. :blink::shock:

LOL!!!! I'll bet she does! I think she has "a thing or two" in her arsenal.

Please tell her that K&D said "HI!", if you wouldn't mind. :cool: I'm glad to hear & know that she's still around and well. :)
