In an effort to try and get the Boxxer V2 to leak I vaped it solid for 2 days and many many refills and then left it on its side overnight. There was a slight build up of juice in the 510 goodie after the overnight on its side test but the boro was almost clear and there was a little condensation on the base of the boro slot but about a hundred times less than a conventional bridge! The back of the Boxxer V2 was 100% dry! So the Boxxer V2 is a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Damn...

You got Serial No. 1

I couldn’t even get them to replace my bad upper chimney from my Flow v1...

Rob, you’ve definitely made some friends over there at Odis...

After reading about the Retribution packages, I started wondering if they would offer anything similar to those of us affected by the Flow v1 debacle...

That Boxxer photo is sort of interesting in that the grain of the metal (or maybe finish brushing) of the top and bottom go different directions. I'm not saying that's good or bad, just that I'm used to seeing machinework done where the parts or components match.

I know Odis is in Canada but he contracts out the parts, correct?

@HBcorpse I didn't know there was a Flow debacle? I love my Flows... I would send a message to the support team on the web site. Not sure they would have any spares for the V1 but the V2 is getting close to being ready!

Yes @GeekyGeezer, they do outsource the parts.

Upon first release, the Flow had a high number of units with upper chimney fitment issues.

Some wouldn’t fit into the lower chimney section properly, some were too tight at the top (where the BB 510 drip tip adapter/nut goes into it) which caused the chimney halves to separate when taking the drip tip nut out...

And some, like mine, had both issues.

Aside from the personal issues I had with the device, in finding the right build that would avoid leaking/flooding/etc, the part fitment issues were a real headache.

I had contacted their support team, and they seemed uninterested in replacing my chimney parts, and instead proceeded to blame my dissatisfaction with the device on my choice of build...side-stepping the fitment issues altogether.

Really left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively)...however, I persevered and found a good build...and ended up liking the Flow enough to buy another one off the Classies...although that was due, in part, to the lack of availability of second-hand Exocets.

All of this on top of having released poorly designed/fitting BBox panels in Ultem and Clear, and I had just about given up hope of buying any more Odis gear.

Anyway... here’s hoping the Flow v2 is well thought out, and doesn’t have such critical flaws!

Gotcha and understood! The Flow V2 should be good to go once it's ready... I should be testing Alpha 2 this coming week.

It’s times like these that I wish Doug Dino still came around to say hi...

I’d love to let him know my thoughts on the Delro-75c “the only device on the market ‘officially approved’ to use the Billet Box Boro tank”...

Purchased from Friendly Flipper, which I’ve long suspected is a shadow branch of BBV...or if not, they’re certainly good buddies...cuz FF offers full custom Billet Boxes, and pretty much only other Billet Box goodies.

It’s honestly not that great.

Maybe I got a clone.

Maybe I got a bad unit.

Maybe it’s just the DNA-75c chip I’m not used to.

Could also be the flimsy enclosure.

Or the fact that one of my buttons doesn’t quite work right.

Or that the battery won’t charge past 95%.

Or that you can’t use the standard Billet Box drip tip adapter.

Or that the drip tip adapter it uses has no O-ring where it connects down into the atomizer, leaving a flimsy connection, which means a bad ground and “no atty” flashing on the screen.

Or that you can ONLY use the drip tip and adapter it comes with, which is very short...leaving you French kissing a big black box.

Ya know...just a couple things that aren’t all that awesome.

Really feeling the value here, being that it was the same cost as a Billet Box, uses a Li-Po battery pack (not an 18650), is larger than a Billet Box in height...

Gee...where was I going with this?

Oh yeah. Doug Dino!

Where are ya buddy???

Sorry for the rant.

This mod was pre-ordered in early May, with a “shipping first week of June” headline...and I didn’t receive the dang thing until yesterday.

Customer service was polite, but curt, in responding to my email...which I’m sure was one of many, regarding the long overdue delivery window.

I’m seriously hesitant to email for any support with the device (button and charging issues), let alone ask for a refund.

Ugh. What a fun habit our little vaping life can be!

Weeeeeeeee!

Sorry for my previous rant!

Just feeling a little burned at spending so much money on something that has been initially so disappointing.

Soooooo...as we all know with this habit, what’s the best cure for the “sad gear blues”...?

SPEND MORE MONEY!

Recently discovered this item, from the makers of the not-so-popular Crossbow atomizer:

The TELL tank!

Tell - SVT

Terrible photo on the site, but a handful of great video reviews (all in foreign languages) on YouTube.

For those less inclined to click the link:

The Tell tank allows you to use your Billet Box atomizers in a regular 510 tank, on a 510 mod...

I can’t seem to find dimensions on it, but from watching the handful of videos, I’ve gathered some guesses.

Based on the relative size of the atomizers being used in the videos, the Tell tank is roughly the size of a BBV boro tank.

Side by side comparison of my regular 510 atomizers and my boro tanks, I am drawn to venture that this Tell tank is roughly the size of a Kayfun Prime.

Here’s hoping it’s a 22mm!

Only time will.........tell? Hahaha

Shipping from Switzerland!

Ok tonight I found my original BB rev. 3 cleaned it up and started using it again...it had gotten misplaced in a move..So the question is are the new ones wit VV/VW that much better ? If so kind of explain please :)

I like both, I think the Rev 3 provides a better flavor, but the Rev 4 is also good, and is what I use most of the time. Mainly because of the availability of the batteries, also the Rev 4 has a better range of wattage/voltage adjustment. :|
