Don't be embarrassed, I love your car too.

Blis made mine for me. If you say pretty please with Cool Aid on top she might make yours too.
Thanks James! It's almost embarrassing how much I love my car!

I do need a sig. Don't know how to make one. Did Bliss write a "How to make cool sigs" book? She makes great signs!

Great story. Thanks for sharing that. We've all been there. The best thing that came out of quitting smoking is that we are all here together with that special bond. I can't remember what I did before I came to this thread. My day's were not nearly as much fun.((((Group))))

I always bought by the carton (except when specials meant buying multiple two-pack specials where you ended up with 10 or more packs was cheaper) and I averaged 1 or more packs a day for 25+ years. I too could not completely quit when I had a pack in the house, but it helped overcome the severe cravings as I adjusted to vaping... I set goals for how many cigarettes I would allow myself each day, and attempt to hold myself to that for 1 to 2 weeks. Then I would lower the number of cigarettes I would allow myself per day for the next two weeks, etc.

Please keep in mind, that when I began vaping I was smoking between 20 and 30 cigarettes most days. When I started vaping I was able to move down to 6 or so per day without too many problems... still allowed morning cigarette, cigarettes at meals, evening cigarette, and a couple here and there. When I forced myself down to 3 it got harder, vaping 24mg nic would not give me the rush, but it would ease the cravings.

I stayed on 2 cigarettes per day for several months before I could force myself down to 1 per day (morning). During that time if I had carried my cigarettes with me I would have cheated... instead I left them at the house. I hated "bumming" cigarettes so it would have had to be a REAL emergency to do that, and I can only think of once or twice that I did so in that time. Not carrying them with me allowed me to maintain that for the last two months of quitting. If I had had them on me or in my car I would have cheated!

Quite frankly, there are still times I crave a cigarette, and I suspect I always will. Unlike some here, I have no issues with being around smokers or smelling smoke (I have all my life since both of my parents smoke...although my mom is shifting to primarily vaping) and I still occasionally will smoke a hookah. If i were unable to vape (think FDA destroys things...) then I would likely go back to smoking within days of my juice stockpiles running out. With all of that being said though, there is no way I could have stopped without vaping, and to be blunt... I suspect that I simply am unwilling to do without nicotine. I believe that nicotine (much like caffeine) is certainly not "good" for you, but from my personal experience I seem to be experiencing quite noticeable health benefits from switching to vaping rather than smoking. :D

My extremely long-winded :2c:

Hope it helps Janie!!! (((())))

I did tell you guys my oral surgeon asked me how long I planned to live...He was trying to figure out how many implants he should do. If I were going to stick around for a while he would do 4.I said well I smoked for a long time.(What kind of nut job answers that question with a serious response)(besides me) He then said he only needed to do 2.
Am I the only one these things happen to?

Hi! Welcome to Copper Creek, so glad you are here.

I agree, At the beginning I was trying so hard to find something that tasted like my cigs. Once I realized that they actually tasted horrid I was much happier.
The only way I could go back to smoking now would be if they made one that tasted just like house blend.

Dont be embarassed. I dont have a car to love any more... I just miss several of them. I still curl up in a ball rocking in a dark corner crying remembering the fact I had to sell my toys. In a manly way, of course.

Don't be embarrassed, I love your car too.

If you offer her some Cool Aid, she would probably trip over herself to get it done.

Hmmmmm come to think about it FV... you could produce...

The Ladies of Copper Creek Calendar and Cookbook...

With each month featuring one of the lovely ladies that is a member of the posse displaying pictures of the results from cooking their favorite recipe from the Copper Creek Recipe thread with the recipe in small print down below the picture! Perhaps even with the food displayed on a cloth across the hood of their favorite vehicles too!
:evil::):evil:

hmmmm... I wonder if I should delete this post before any of the lovely ladies in the posse see it and while I am still more or less in one piece! ;)

So...I may be getting a divorce....Mr. Crabbypants works for the State's Emergency Management Agency.
It sometimes requires him to travel to the different counties in Ohio to determine how there Emergency response teams are set up.
Cut to my next door neighbors who are from W.Va. lovely people. When there kids have a Birthday they go back to the bakery near to where they lived to get the cake. I have been invited to many of their parties.I go because this cake was the same cake Marie Antoinette died for.I'm sure of it.It's the most fabulous cake ever. No New York or Los Angeles bakery could top this bakery. They do serious cake. It's in Steubenville Ohio.
Back to Mr. Crabbypants.
He call's on his way home to tell me he has a SURPRISE for me.What? He said he wouldn't tell me what it was because it was a surprise. HUH? I looked on my caller ID to make sure it was who I thought it was and it was indeed Mr. Crabbypants. After a few minutes of teasing me about my SURPRISE he told me it was a cake from Downtown Bakery in Steubenville.
Who is this man?I had no clue that he knew I loved their cake nor did I know he knew the bakery was in Steubenville.
I kind of recognize this guy from courting days(yes I am that old to call it courting days) but I have not seen him for 41 years. This is all too much for me to take in.A brand new puppy AND a cake in the same week?WTF?
I have a headache..

We do care Stretchy (men in general)... even if we do not always show it! I think you must have worried him badly... I always do my best acts (according to my wife) when she feels as if she needs it the most... that's awesome news... and is probably part of why you have been together for 41+ years!
