Those are some of my exact concerns also. Also, I have kind of gotten used to the "small" size of the Darwin, The Eclipse looks like a handful. Nice to have at home, but I don't see carrying it out and about. Whereas my Darwin goes everywhere with me so easily. My other concern is this type of Feeder technology is still so new, that it will be interesting to see how reliable it is, out of the gate. It is impressive though. However I still say the Darwin has set a high bar for my future devices.
Well it sounds like the Darwinians are all on the same page with the Eclypse. We can all laugh our asses off at them when their juice feeders start spraying nic in their eyes and their computer chips crap out?
I did preorder an Empire though. I'm going to use it as my backup (fully mechanical). I like the 901 flavor too and their drip shields solve the biggest problem with the 901 atty's. I would just keep my V3 for a back-up pv. But, my wife wants it after I get my Darwin. Seems she's been stalking my Prodigy for some time now and pounced on the opportunity to latch onto it when she heard how much I was spending on the Darwin. LOL. I would have just bought her one of her own, if she would have just asked for one.
Going to have to pass on the Helix though. It just doesn't fill any needs at the moment.
