Those are some of my exact concerns also. Also, I have kind of gotten used to the "small" size of the Darwin, The Eclipse looks like a handful. Nice to have at home, but I don't see carrying it out and about. Whereas my Darwin goes everywhere with me so easily. My other concern is this type of Feeder technology is still so new, that it will be interesting to see how reliable it is, out of the gate. It is impressive though. However I still say the Darwin has set a high bar for my future devices.

Well it sounds like the Darwinians are all on the same page with the Eclypse. We can all laugh our asses off at them when their juice feeders start spraying nic in their eyes and their computer chips crap out?

I did preorder an Empire though. I'm going to use it as my backup (fully mechanical). I like the 901 flavor too and their drip shields solve the biggest problem with the 901 atty's. I would just keep my V3 for a back-up pv. But, my wife wants it after I get my Darwin. Seems she's been stalking my Prodigy for some time now and pounced on the opportunity to latch onto it when she heard how much I was spending on the Darwin. LOL. I would have just bought her one of her own, if she would have just asked for one.

Going to have to pass on the Helix though. It just doesn't fill any needs at the moment.

Spot-on......I researched the EQ and Darwin and finally jumped on the Darwin-----EQ is a handful compared to Darwin----EQ had no digital read-out like the Darwin --- EQ does have replacable battery --- EQ has juice feeder ----etc...

But, since the juice feeder is not for me--jumped to Darwin----

Also did research on the piezo-pump the EQ uses and wonder how it will work with viscus(thicker than water) juice----costly little pumps, thus EQ to be between $250.00 and $300.00(not decided yet).....and do not know about a warrantee yet.....

ROFL, that's funny stuff VAPIN'! I keep hearing about the Empire but have never seen it. Is there a thread or a link? I believe everybody should own at least one mechanical mod! You can almost always make one work in the worst of times. In the rare event, the Darwin doesn't work, what do we do? We call Brandon!

The guy that makes them showed one off on Vape TV at Vapefest. He said they intentionally didn't post any pics to save the unveiling for Vapefest. It's a really sharp pv and looks sturdy. I did see a video of him demo'ing one a while back. But, I can't remember where I ran into it. He said he'd have them up on the website when he returned from Vapefest. Adjusting for the hangover factor of attending a Vapefest.... I'm guessing by the end of the day on Monday. The site is EmpireMods.

Hey Guys....I bought 8 of the drip sheids this weekend at Vapefest...I actually had dinner with Keith from empire...These things work GREAT!!! I drove down Friday and had dinner with hm and Cisco and then drove home...In the morning my 6 Dripsheilds turned into 3? My wife and my nephews girlfreind scooped them up....So I went back later in the day to hang out and got a few more....They dont JUST work on the Darwin, they work on every unit I have tried them on...They work FANTASTIC with 901s which are traditionally a giant mess...I have 6 mods lined up on my desk right now( with 901, 306s,and 510s), and havent seen a single drop of liquid from any of them since I got these puppies...Thumbs up to Keith on a great mod...

Hey Drew, do they scratch the Darwin when closing the arm or can't the arm be closed?

I checked out his new Mod also which I have seen before (protoypes) and I will say its nice looking and seems to be well machined...I have never really been a fan of bottom buttons so I really didnt spend much time looking at it...Then again I have a mod case full of custom Xhalers and other assorted mechanical mods that dont get too much play time anymore...I did hang out with Chad (the maker of the Silver Bullet , Omega, and the Alpha) and got a couple of the newer units he is currently manufacturing, but we have always shared and or traded our mods...I gifted my wife the an Alpha, she says likes it, but we will see....
Cuse, you are officially a tester for some of the new liquids I have been toying with....I made up some bags with a couple liitle things and some liquids to pass out at Vaoefest since I didnt have a table there and I think one fell into your package...So let us know what you think...You should get your package Monday...Thanks
Drew

Welcome home Drew. Special thanks for making sure the email notices went out on the Darwins. I did get one and I can't remember ever being this excited about a new pv. We've been talking about stalking the postman (the Darwinians that stalk this thread....not to name names but... CG, krisb, sewkitty...rotfl) half jokingly since we that are about to "evolve" locked ours in last Friday.

I was watching the live stream of Vapefest on Vape TV and couldn't believe how much attention the Helix, the Empire, and the Eclipse got... with barely a mention of the Darwin. When will people get that it's all about the watts in the coil? Joke is on them I guess. Keep up the great work. You've made a believer out of me (though I'm still going to pick-up one of those shiny little Empires as soon as they get them up on the site). My wife just decided that my Prodigy will be hers the day the Darwin arrives, so I need a mechanical back-up, just in case.

I was hoping to score a Darwin at Vapefest when i saw Drew there. The Darwin is smaller that i thought it would be and looks better in person. Many people there had Darwins. I can now see why it is such a popular device.

I hope everyone who was at Vapefest got to meet Drew. He looks like a bounty hunter and can snap your neck by just looking at you and the only guy that can scare Chuck Norris :) just J/K Drew ;) He is one of the nicest guys there. I first met Drew at last years Vapefest in VA and hung out at his booth almost the whole time, Just a great guy to hang with and shoot the $h!t :)

Thanks, Drew. Good to know the o-rings on the drip shields actually hold the juice in on a range of attys. I'll stop ignoring them now.

I've always been drawn to feeder mods because they lend to single-handed, lazy vaping, which is what I'm all about. That's why I'm most excited to see what Drew finds for the Darwin in the way of something tank-like. I'm more excited about that right now than a PV.

Haven't used a MAP on it at all today...been dripping a 306 instead. I know...but I dialed the Darwin down and the vapor and flavor have been great without there being a blast furnace effect. Can't believe I once hated these...
