Middle of nowhere
Thanks all I edited my original post but its worth saying again.....the folks at Evolv called me within MINUTES of sending them an email. A new Darwin will be shipped to me overnight delivery tomorrow. Truly AMAZING customer service.

WOW
I did not get that.
Sure would have like to get mine the next day.
They already got mine back and I am still with out the Darwin.
I'm bumbed now.

Congrats, timato and others who got their Darwins. The fit and finish on mine is superb and I'd have had fits if it wasn't. Remember your warranty if you're not happy.

OC, sorry, man! Glad Evolv was,as usual, responsive. Best to go through them. Calling Nhaler gets instructions on how to send it back only. Contacting Evolv means you'll be getting a replacement.

Kris, try not to worry. Reads like OC encountered the same thing I did and my replacement unit (newer, problem solved version) has been solid as the slender brick the Darwin is. I don't need the 510-510 and can use any atty or adapter directly on the arm. I don't feel like I'm stuck with a fragile, sensitive or problematic device. I wouldn't tolerate such (what with my patience deficit and all). I grab it with my first cup of coffee and when I head out the door. I'm only paranoid about two things: getting caught in a deluge with the USB port pointed skyward and leaving my car door unlocked with the Darwin visible. I know...weird worries but there ya go.

Any more Darwins land today?

I definitely feel better that they know what the problem was/ is. This is only my second mod after vaping since end of Sept. So I'm a bit picky, lol. My other is a ggtb, and although I like it, wish I had waited it out for the reo or the provari. Live n learn. I'm trying so hard not to be crazy impatient woman here....please come tomorrow, please oh please!

Wow lots happening today in the Land of Darwinia! So OC's Darwin died? That is not fun:( Who else besides timato got Darwins today?

Edit: Ok I see the overnight replacement OC! My charger died on day 3 and Evolv thought it was the unit and offered to send a new Darwin overnight until we figured out it was the $5 chinese usb charger! But they did overnight the charger lol. Krisb...did you get yours?

That is always the case when buying any PV, there is always something else out there. We all say I should have waited until...... but thats the way it goes, thats why a lot of us have a few. You should have your Darwin by tomorrow.

I get it, believe me. And, is impatience a bad thing? Kind of exciting, isn't it?

I have a Reo and, it is absolutely a great, beautiful device from a great vendor and is, imo, worth the wait. Most days its my doomsday backup. It just can't be compared to a variable power or variable voltage PV because it was designed around a different goal. The Darwin could be compared to the ProVari, I guess, if it came with a USB. In my humble and always twisted opinion, you made a good decision. Your second device will not look like the rest of the devices you looked at or work the same but it'll deliver.

And, what Andel so wisely said:

It was probably just the luck of the draw that I happened to get in touch right after a new batch went out and they had some they kept back for replacements......yours will probably be back to you around same time as mine. Of course this is speculation on my part but from what I got out of the emails and phone call was a VERY responsive company.....I couldnt see them making you wait for no reason.

No, cuse, not yet. I am hoping for tomorrow, I don't live as close to nhaler as Timato. I just wish the usps gods were being a bit nicer and giving me a bit more info than "electronically notified of shipment", ahhh!

But, yes, even the waiting part is exciting!

If it makes you feel any better, my latest "aquisition" this week was stuck on "Electronically Notified of Shipment" for 2 days....until an hour before it was delivered and then went straight to "Out for Delivery" So it's hard to put alot of stock in USPS tracking. I think you might see it tomorrow.

Some time yesterday my tracking changed from electronic shipping info received to "Your item was processed through and left our WARRENDALE, PA 15086 facility on March 08, 2011 at 1:49 pm"... progress, at least :)

I'm not sure why I keep checking the tracking, though, USPS tracking really does need an update. Usually I can at least tell whether a package is out for delivery that day though, so the morning of delivery I'll get a heads up.

ZOMG the package is in my little village of Lucas, OH!!!! The sorting is complete! I wish I could just go get it, the post office is a 3 minute walk away from my apt. TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!!

EDIT: I called the post office and they said they would just hold the package there. I'm walking over there now, I'll have it in my hands in a few minutes!!!! I'll post pics.
