It increases the distance that juice leaking out of the atty has until it hits the connector. Increase in distance means more of a chance and more time for you to catch it and clean it up before it hits the connector.

What advantage is there to adding the Gooseneck to the Darwin? I'm late to the conversation so I didn't see the posts relevant to it.

Don't sweat the tracking; when i ordered mine the tracking only showed it as being processed in NJ, then no updates (no matter how often I refreshed the page), and one morning the Darwin just turned up at my door...

.... in Australia, 8 days later. That was a test in patience. Which made the Darwin that little bit sweeter (and it is waaay sweet to begin with).

And have felt very fortunate nothing has gone wrong with the unit <insert the sounds of wood being knocked on vigorously, four leaf clovers being squeezed, and a rabbit's foot being stroked to within an inch of its life (?)> as I don't see an overnight swap happening. Maybe Evolv and Nhaler need an Austrailian Darwin Service - Holding Outgoing Unilateral Secure Environment for keeping some replacement units, to ensure the same high service levels for us over here. Based on the acronym I might just know the perfect place to store them.

And just checked the shipping info again, and still showing just the processing in NJ.

Flavor is wonderful :) I'm getting the hang of the dial now, it's incredibly sensitive. A little hard to get it to exactly where you want.

You'll definitely love your Darwin, then :) Are you stalking the postman yet?

Just as a reminder to anyone interested, Empire said that the black drip shields will be in stock tonight.

The Darwin came with some kind of stacked adapter set. 510 to something, then that something back to 510. I'm assuming it's to lengthen the arm. I emailed Evolv to ask what the adapter is, because the dripshield needs a certain stacked adapter set and it would be icing on the cake if it was the same thing that the Darwin shipped with. No worries if not though. It was awfully nice of Evolv to throw in a free set of adapters.

Update on the flavors... I'm mussing about with the dial, and finding the sweet spot for my peppermint I make that is my 90% of the time vape.

So far, its really in its fullest around 7.8-8.2 watts.

@Best - Oh no :( Looking back on the thread, this happened to someone else, they emailed Evolv directly (include your phone number) and they were called back very quickly. Hopefully you'll have the same service.

You can also try leaving it plugged in for a while, just in case the battery was shipped completely dead.

EDIT AGAIN: I didn't see that you had already emailed them... :( I really hope yours comes to life somehow!

No point in stalking the postman around here. He doesn't get to us until between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. I hope mine doesn't show up DOA, all of us paid enough for it for that not to happen.

Anne

Just wrestled Darwin from the post office this am, didnt want to wail for that sloww driver , Darwin appears to be DOA! QQ Sent email to Evolv , any body know an effective cure? Prayer? Mby a reboot procedure?
