Krisb, it is all a matter of personal taste - like juices. You kind of have to try them all to see what you like. I started with 510s because that is what everyone said was "best". I tried sooooooo many juices because of other people's recommendation "oh, this juice is so good - you have to try it". I have sold or given away over 1,000 mls of juices I just never reached for after trying. I got every atty I could get. My personal preference is the 801 series (801, BE112, 302 and 4072). But, even these have differences. The 801 series is known for a more airy draw. But, most have not investigated how much different adapters contribute to airflow and flavor, TH and vapor are all impacted greatly by airflow. Here is a post I wrote a while back comparing some different 510 to 801 adapters:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dapters-w-pics-airflow-attys-little-help.html Unfortunately, vendors do not focus on these issues and I have yet to find any who are even aware that there ARE differences. Many will ship an adapter that is different from the ones pictured on their web sites. I find the new stealth 510 to 801 adapters provide the best all around and they can even be slightly adjusted with tiny turns of the flat-head center of the 801 end. But, I have only tried them from one vendor who no longer carries them and I do not know if all stealth adapters are the same designs. if they are all made by only one company - they "should" be consistent. But, if they are now being made by multiple manufacturers, differences will again become likely. A while back Drew has said he was ordering some but I haven't checked his site to see if they are still there and/or what his opinion of them might be. As I said, this is all a matter of personal preferences.

PS. FWIW - FOR ME and MY PREFERENCES, I do not find LR and HV watts equal vapes. I greatly prefer HV vaping. TO ME, 8.5 watts at higher ohms & volts is a much richer vape experience than 8.5 watts LR and lower volts.

EDIT: another point about airflow - the connectors on the different devices are not the same either. Some have more airflow than others. So, the same atty, with the same adapter, may perform differently on two different devices because the connector on the devices are different.

You can use LR, Standard and HV attys without giving it a second thought and use adapters for 801s, 901s or any other atty type. I've used 306s even though I'm not a fan and they work fine. Imo, folks fell in love with 306s and 1.5 ohms because they run hot on 3.7v batteries. You're getting a variable power device so you won't have to fake voltage anymore.

Edit: nm! I see Nebula answered way better than I ever could

So far its incredibly good, came fully charged with the 510-510 adapter. The fit and finish isn't perfect at least not compared to the other, but it does look good. I know I I knew the dimensions before, but in the hand this thing is long. However it is comfortable and the swivel I thought I wouldn't like is realy growin on me. I noticed its a little too easy to bump off of your setting unless your in the 8.5 spot (which is actualy perfect for me with a 2ohm atty. But this thing realy seems to shine in performance, it seems that through out my sets of hits they are consistent with each other.(I drip)without varying according to how much juice is on the atty.(until its dry of course) it truly is a great innovative peice of technology and I can't wait to see what evolv comes up with next. Thanks drew once again for you lightning fast shippin!...

Just finished dinner, flipped the arm up on my Darwin and nada.....screen didnt come on, no vapor....DEAD. I plugged it in hoping it was the battery.....still nothing(I kind of knew it wasnt as I had it fully charged this morning and I easily get 2 days out of it). Total bummer....the idea of vaping anything else is truly a let down. So I Googled and can not seem to find the Evolv website. can someone help me out with their web addy? Hopefully they can get me another quickly.

edit: Ok I found the website and shot them an email.....now I sit and wait.....not so patiently I might add. This SUCKS.

edit again: AMAZING to me but Evolv has already called me and are sending a new Darwin tomorrow for next day delivery. Their Customer Service could not be any better. Wonderful company standing behind a wonderful product. Wish more companies were like that.

Jump in my boat and keep me company.
I called(Friday) and sent mine back the next day. They got it Monday but I haven't gotten any word on when I will get it back. I been using my ego. Not even near the same.
I'm sure I will get it back quickly as I'm sure you will.
They told me at the time they did not have any to send me right now but assured me it would not be long.
I have not complains. It's new and sure there is still a few bugs to work out.

Thanks all I edited my original post but its worth saying again.....the folks at Evolv called me within MINUTES of sending them an email. A new Darwin will be shipped to me overnight delivery tomorrow. Truly AMAZING customer service.

Wow, I'm really impressed. Most vendors I've used in the e-cig trade have all had above average customer service, but your experience is just... wow. Incredible. That makes me very, very pleased to have purchased an Evolv product! :)

When I picked up the phone and it was Evolv I almost fell off my chair....I said to him "How is this possible....I JUST sent the email!"

Did you ever find out what the actual issue was that caused it to fail?

Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
They seem to know what it is and have already fixed the issue in newer models.
