I am using a variant of these methods right now. Instead of making the wick go through my mesh roll, I just make it go over the mesh and coil so its not wrapped in the coil at all, it feeds the mesh with a good amount of juice and eliminated the leaking issues I had with the mesh alone. Using this method with Gorilla Juice right now. Its the first time I ever enjoy GJ in my ody, this and boba's had always been non-ody juices in my book, but thats all in the past now. And it is also the biggest and tastiest clouds of vapors I ever achieved on my ody, I never tought 3.7v could make me choke! I hope this coil never dies.

Ill post pictures after I finish this tank.

yes short enough that the wick fits in just okay in the channel, i didnt have to ram the mouthpiece over it. Its pretty much exactly like captsteve's just with a wick slapped on top. The wick does touch the coil there, barely. I did this because with the mesh only, using thin juice (highbrow pv/vg mix), I would have trouble with my juice flow. Sometimes I got dry burns, and if I unscrewed mouthpiece too much, there would be leaking. Maybe I used too little mesh, maybe krinkle's method is only meant to be used with xc-116 wick. It seemed to me like the little piece of mesh would just flood too quick.
First thing I did was put two little pieces of wick in the empty channels to help regulate juice flow. To help feeding the juice up to the mesh without having to open juice control too much causing leaks. It made it a bit better, but it was still a little leaky. Thats when I tried this last method which works just superbly right now. The wick over the mesh really helps retention of larger amounts of juice around the coil and also if the mesh is flooded the extra liquid is absorbed by the wick instead of ending up in your collector tank.

Been vaping my ody non-stop since last night and never got leaking, never got a dry hit and the vapor amount is really impressive. Best results I ever had with my ody.

Try putting the extra wick under the mesh instead... and really the only reason you would get any leaking is because the mesh isnt big enough to act as a juice dam at the ceramics channels... you could try just using more mesh or what your doing now or by putting the extra wick under the mesh...

10mm X 40mm works best for me. I Been doing this for awhile now. Think i posted my test runs some time back in the ody official thread. anything lesser then 20mm rolled gives me inconsistent results.

The more mesh material the more juice gets welled up leads to insane vapor production. Not to mention taste :)

To add, A dry burn plus a quick dip into water cleans it up real nice for a new tank of juice.

Mesh only. i started out with wick core tho.

Never used wicks since then. LOL
The denser your mesh is the more it soaks up the juice the more vapor it produces. Try it. :)

the only thing you need to really take care of when u make a mesh only is to make sure its thick and long enuff to fill up the wick channel like Mr Krinkles short wick. Otherwise it allows the juice to freely flow thru.

Great thanks will try it. So you just cut a piece of 10mm x 40mm and roll it up and that as a roll should fit just right, correct? much appreciated

Yeap, pretty much what u did back there. roll it till its snug. And make sure with the coil u sit it all the way to the bottom.

Mine sat in there for abt 3 weeks or so, same coil same wick. It takes awhile to roll a 40mm till it fits btw.
