Yea, nicotine will definitely be my next focus. I stocked up on my favorite juice, but that even buying a large quantity of premixed juice isn’t going to last long really.
I started DIY about 6 months in and got lucky. I ordered ingredients plus one flavor that sounded promising and for the first batch used a very minimal amount of flavoring (you can always add more). What that lead to was a pattern where I use only enough flavoring to cover the taste of the other ingredients, which works out to 1%. It turns out I can vape that all day every day because I never tire of it. This has saved a lot of time, money, and complexity. I just don't participate in the flavor part of the hobby and don't miss it. I consume about 2 ml's of flavoring a month. I just bought another 4 oz bottle. 120 ml / 2 = 60 months / 12 = 5 years. The bottle cost $12 / 5 years = $2.40 a year. My total cost of ingredients is about 1 cent per ml. I do not understand why so few people mix. May be that's going to be changing now.

I've not used them, but this is what is on their contact page. If you're in the US, that means a longer wait time for your stuff.

They look legit but I'm always skittish of these China companies.

I went with Vaperstek “throat hit” nicotine. I’ve read around on different, guesses, I’ll call them, on how it’s made and my guess is it’s just oxidized nic base. It would shine for anyone trying to mimic how a cigarette hits, it’s a little harsher and has a ‘dirty’ finish. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a clean hit.

A plus is, it’s cheap and it serves it’s purpose. You’ll want to use it with a heavier flavor like a dessert etc and not something lite like, cucumber.

"I think there's no evidence from looking at the cancer biomarkers, that it could be as high as 98% or 99% for cancer."

When I saw this report on my local area CBS news program last night - I was like . . .

giphy.gif

Finally, a somewhat balanced report, as the local media could give during this promotion of hysteria by anti-zelots concerning e-cig/vaping . . . :headbang:

Now all "We" really need is more complete competent reports "aired" on TV/in Newspapers, that are not just promoting anti-smoking/e-cig zealot's rhetoric. Especially that the majority of problems/deaths is not from using vaping equipment and e-liquid (be it flavored or not - for a less harmful use then smoking tobacco cigarettes), but it is from the many illegal composition & cutting (using oils/thickners/extenders) of THC & CBD being use/sold vis black market outlets - particularly by youth to get HIGH, including the use of high level nicotine & "Huffing" e-cig products . . . Just Sayin' . . . :2c:

Boy - o - Boy, never wanted or thought I would actually turn into an "OLD PERSON", especially at this age . . .

So I need some help with coils. I apologize in advance if this doesn't make a lot of sense. Can anyone give me an idea on what commercially available coil is used in a variety of different e-cigarettes? I'm trying to purchase some cheap all-in-one style e-cigarettes along with some higher-quality internal battery mod devices as the cheap joyetech AIO box that I use tends to break in the port area rather than have the battery run out of charges you can't charge it without wiggling it and holding it in weird positions and all of those type of things that you would usually do with a cell phone. I want to get a higher quality all-in-one that is less likely to have the port break I also have an external battery mod on the way and then I want to get a few cheaper all in one internal battery regular devices. Are there any kinds that share the same coils? I would love to be able to use the same coils for a couple different devices. Also if I just want to extend the life of my coil is there a way to rewick it where I wouldn't have to know everything there is to know about building a coil like can I take the coil apart the commercially available coil and put new cotton in it? If that's possible is it only possible with some coils and not others? It would be great to have a list of a variety of different e-cigarettes that all operate off a single coil. I hope that this made some sense and I hope that I posted this in the right place I apologised if I didn't. Genuinely not knowledgeable about all this and I just want to keep myself from going back to smoking I've been vaping for almost 3 years and I've seen my health return.

And the anti guy, West Virginia University School of Medicine associate professor Mark Olfert, is incompetent.

"It's something in the base solution," he said. "The base solution is made up of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. These are oils. Petroleum."

How the heck is this guy any kind of professor at a school of Medicine without the most basic knowledge of organic chemistry? PG and VG are not oils, they are sugar alcohols! Moreover, VG is not made from petroleum.

I've seen more idiots in the past few weeks than I have in my entire life. Supposed doctors talking about all kinds of chemicals in vape juice and how they are deadly. You can only shake your head.

And we trust our health and well being to these dopes?

Medical doctors are not scientists, they follow and teach cookbooks and "best practices". That is my not so humble opinion.

Understood, but they are supposed to have a basic knowledge of biology and organic chemistry, and the difference between oils and alcohols is freshman level stuff if one is planning to go to medical school. Heck, I learned it it high school!
