I really need to play around more with the flavors I've got, but I plan on putting in my first well thought-out flavor order when possible. I found out the teaching gig I landed is monthly payment (expecting bi-weekly, like any normal place...), so I'll finally get paid 5 weeks in, at the end of September. It's safe to say that my initial DIY order will carry me a lot further than an equivalent amount spent on pre-mixed stuff, and for that, I'm glad!

So, I've got at least 10 days to scour this thread and make up a reasonable cart. I'll strongly consider each of Bill's essential flavors (fruit and cream) from a few pages back, and find a recipe or two that looks very promising. So far, blackberry, raspberry and grape candy have been keepers for me! But, that could all change, once I try my first complicated, 5+ flavor recipe. I'm tempted to for at least 4oz bottles, because 8ml from Wizard Labs goes really quickly...

I'm on this today! You're the best Bill [emoji482]

And on complete other notes.... I won mad vapes contest this week! I will FINALLY have a dripper to test with *happy dance*

Now I have to figure out how to use it... Ughhhhh
Definitely check out Mac and super_x's threads and blogs. I feel I know Mac personally from his thread and PMs helping me to really learn how to consistently wrap a good coil. (He also recommends Bill for his knowledge and eagerness to help others).

If I can build a nice coil, anyone can!

PS congrats on the win!

By the way, Ren, have you seen my coiler?

Looks way more difficult than it is, believe me! This simple coiler can make 50 near perfect microcoils an hour. I built it to build solid coils, accurately, consistently really quick. It has served me well, and I use it about once a week, making about 10 coils at a time. I am not recommending this for anyone, but myself, lol.

All you need is a spool of kanthal (Temco)(I use 29 gauge), a pin vise (I like the Starrett's, but Etsy also has some good deals), a 1/16" mandrel or drill bit/blank, some KGD (Koh Gen Do makes a great natural cotton fiber pad - no bleaching, no chemicals, awesome wicking), and a YouTube video or two. You will also need some micro screw drivers, tweezers and small pliers set. I can provide links for any of these materials if you like.

Figure out how to use it? PM MacTechVapor, tell him I sent you, and ask for his guidance. He loves sharing his micro coil secrets, and he is a master, a nice guy, and a giver. He can help you faster than anyone. Mac's thread is here:

Also, YouTube videos are great. Check out SuperX (sxmxdrifter on YouTube):

Super is an ECF member, blogs every day, and created the micro coil, with the help of several others. His thread is here:

Between SuperX and Mac, you'll have the best help in the business. They are good friends.

You're the BEST! Thanks :) I will take care of that a bit later today or tomorrow. Seems my Uncle may not make it though the day :( so vape time is on hold a bit. BBL

Speed and consistency. Can't beat it [emoji100][emoji100]

I think two or three people have mentioned that they have built a similar coiler, and I've turned down offers to build them for others, but I do like it for my own use. For 99.9% of the vaping world, a device like this is over the top, and I posted it here more as a novelty, than a practical solution for anyone else. That being said, the parts list is on my blog, it's easy to build, and it does a great job. I'm a simple man, and wanted to find a way to reproduce a well-made coil quickly and consistently. However, a good hand wind is often just as good, and certainly far less expensive than a tool such as this. I don't like building coils, yet I appreciate how important they are to our vapes. I invariably use a single microcoil of 1/16" ID wicked with KGD. Wonderful vape in my Taifun GT's. I leave most of the other builds to the kids, they are not for me. I'm a flavor chaser.

what is a good substitute for sweet cream? i have whipped cream, barvarian cream. i have a sweet cream from fw but it smells and taste really buttery so i dont wanna use that

Bavarian Cream is a good substitute in some recipes. However, when you're trying to get a true sweet cream vanilla filling, for example, you need sweet cream. When sweet cream is a secondary flavor, particularly with vanillas and sweetener, with strong primary flavorings, it won't make a great deal of difference.

well i made a 50ml bottle of pink starburst and the barvarian cream is over powering and no longer taste correct. its more of a bakery juice now. i just made a test batch with marshmallow and it seems decent

had to use barvarian cream instead of sweet cream since i forgot to order it

i tried the turkish tobacco and it is pretty good. if you wanna get a nice tobacco juice your gonna have to blend a few tobacco flavors to get it. usually just one tobacco flavor doesnt get you were you want to be. you can try and he might like it but so far most recipes have a few tobaccos in them
