I've done the final now-WITH the block out. I'll blog it and post in a few mins. I need to do a pic. In two days, it will have a bath, a wet sand and two more coats of clear, but color wise, it's complete. Just think, in 4 days I can use the blasted thing LOL

On a diff note. I created Cream Fantastico tonight-but left it down in my lab, so I didn't get to load it up for a test I'll try it out in the morning. Bill, I believe you use this as a base? I just don't remember.... I tried to search, but it's coming up blank. I know darn well there are several posts. Grrrrrrrr!!!

Yeah,i seen someone mention that a while back.I have a quartz nano kit,but not the regular one.I do have 1 of my orchids set up with glass,but it's such a pain to fill that i dont bother with it,it looks cool though with the glass kit and finned top cap haha.I had a full size kayfun quartz kit cut a bit shorter to fit on the orchid,and it fits great,but the metal rings used for those kits have an inset that is very close to the chimney,so close that you cant even squeeze an 18g needle between them,so you have to squirt a bit of juice in,and wait for it to run down in on it's own,then squirt,and wait haha,it took almost 10 minutes to get it full,so for tank crackers i have went back to my foggers.Speaking of orchids though,they just released a v4 with an extended chimney,and full size kayfun tank.I will be getting it here in a few days.They claim this one will hold 7-8ml,if i can get 5ml in it i'll be happy

A regular kayfun holds 4.5 so that's what id expect on v4. I just want the chimney. I prefer v1 so no worries on bottom fill leaking and coming loose and getting stuck on mod. Top fill cap is the best thing ever... I never got a quartz for exactly the same reason you mentioned above.

I have.I tried it fresh right after mixing,and it was very good.I could taste several fruits as well as some creaminess.After that,i let it sit for a week because i forgot about it,so i went back to it yesterday and got a pretty funky off taste from it,although i can't say 100% the off taste was from it,i believe it was,but it was a coil i have been using for a while,so this weekend i will give it a try with a new coil to see if it is any different

My mom said my papaya gives off a cat pee room note, unneutered male cat That was at a 6%, I've cut the % down because it is a strong flavor

Mixes done yesterday were rainbow sherbert testers, Bill's vanilla custard, Bill's Dutch apple pie, and an eggnog tester(tfa), hoping better than Capella's

Wish I had some AP to add to Danish, just to see how it effects a mix...isn't that supposed to add a bready note at small %, too much gives fritos type taste????

Now that you mention it,the sour fruit type taste with cream is very close to what i got after it had sat a while,i only mixed it at 5% for my tester,if i made it at 10% or 15% that bad taste i got would have probably been really bad haha.I'm thinking maybe it might make a good mixer at very low %'s but not sure,because like i said even at 5%,it was pretty good fresh but didn't seem to hold up to well,and that was only maybe a week or so that it turned.
Did you try your eggnog tester yet?I have thought about trying Tfa's version,i have the capella as well and really don't care for that one.

That looks pretty cool.It took me a minute to figure out what the undyed symbol was,but then i was like oh yeah ok i know what that is haha,which is sad since i have several,but never really look at that end much haha.

That sounds a bit more realistic,i never measured how much my kayfuns hold,but i should have figured the 7-8 was way off,especially since when the first orchid came out they said it held 4ml,and i got 2ml in it haha.I can live with even 4-4.5 though.I haven't got any with the v2 base yet,i have 2 v1's but i still do a bottom fill on them by unscrewing the base from the tank,and pulling up just a small bit to fit a blunt tip needle in there,helps keep from leaking like they do with the top fill.I figure i will like the bottom fill hole though,i'm used to them from my foggers.

I was thinking of mixing some fruits to it too, because I don't see it as a stand alone flavor, I think some fruits might add some pizazz, which ones, I don't know yet. I didn't try eggnog yet...enjoying mango-bav. cream-Coc. extra blend, will update when I get around to trying....also ordered some horchata smooth too due to all the talk a few pages back, love horchata vapes

I'm vaping yours right now. I made an executive decision last night to let it sit and see what happened after a 12 hour break. Well, this morning I can honestly say it doesn't have much flavor compared to 0200 this morning. Now, is that because of the screw up I did? VERY possibly. Is it because I decided to see what happened with the Cinnamon Danish? Very possibly! So I'm not sure how to feel about it lol

I'm going down to the lab after I hit the shower, but only for about a half hour. I may just put some fruit and cream mix of some sort in to my mix and see how it turns out. Today is taking out some older ladies that are too sweet for words, so I've got limited time this morning for the lab.

Are the TFA flavourings safe to use? I noticed on fusionflavours.ca they're the only one that doesn't mention whether they use diacetyl or acetoin, Capella and FlavourWest specifically state that they don't.

According to their FAQ (accessible from their website), http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/flavorsworkshop/custard.html

You may get trace amounts of diacetyl from naturally extracted flavors, as all sorts of food naturally contains diacetyl.

Many of their custards notes contain a bit of acetoin and... Let me attempt this one... Acetyl propionyl.

Personally I'm not worried. But I am not up to date on inhalation risk research nor am I a chemist or biologist. I just like TFA flavors and the community in this wonderful thread.

ETA: I do realize there are links between certain chemicals and health risks, but I just think culturally we have a fear of chemical names. If we called water dihydrogen monoxide, nobody would want to touch the stuff. If all known chemicals in an apple were written down with science lingo, we'd all be scared pantsless by the chemicals we're ingesting. Maybe that's me rationalizing my delicious strawberry custard mix, but I do wonder if having these buzzwords like acetoin fall into the "a little but of knowledge is a dangerous thing" category.

I do hope you're able to make some good juice with what you've ordered!

Ok, officially caught up.

Just for Danish input (thank goodness I've another week, this weekend was impossible):

I put together a straight danish juice. No "extra" flavorings-just a base. It looks like this:

Belgian Waffle - 3%
Brown Sugar Extra - 2%
Butter - 1%
Sweet Cream - 2% (this seemed to bring everything together)
Sweetener - 3%
Vanilla Custard - 4%

I did not originally have the Sweet Cream, nor the Vanilla Custard in there. There needed to be something to round things out IMO, before, I added a filling. I'm blasted determined to make this base RIGHT before I add anything to it. It's steeping tonight, because the VC tasted like it needed a bit of a sit. I'm mixing this base at 50/50. Why? Beats me! I just like the BW flavor better that way. Just my taste buds I'm sure lol I did like 8 drops in the bridgeless atty and it "seemed" right beside the VC needing a wee break. So tomorrow morning, I will see. PLEASE-input is both wanted and needed

I think I'm going to go watch movies on the inside of my eyelids for as long as I'm able, it's been a hellacious weekend. I'll check in! Happy creating!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, had I not screwed it up, I'd have a better idea what it tastes like-BUT.... ugh

I think I'm going for my filling today since I've time to do so. Let it sit for 24ish hours and then brew em together and see what happens lol

I did the same when i put my order in this morning.I have capella horchata and tfa horchata base,the capella is pretty good if you want to wait weeks for it to get good haha,the tfa base is way too heavy with cinnamon red hot flavor,so i hope the smooth is good,i should have it saturday,and will definitely be mixing some up.

Alrighty kids! I'm at an impasse of great proportions! I require someone that can mix a fruit's help

Either I've vape tongue for only fruit mixes, or everything I make is tasting the same LOL

Has anyone come up with a "filling" yet? I have determined that I'll use that Danish-Stone I created and add fruit filling of some sort. Right now, unless I had a full drop of Cinnamon Spice, I cannot taste the fruit. Period! I'm not opposed to cinnamon as a flavor, in fact, I've quite fallen in love with the cinnamon flavors--BUT! that's not the idea I've my head in for this

Ok, new Jay's Custard (v3)

(btw, I mix this one at 50/50-why? It seems to taste better. My usual 70/30 just isn't up to it I guess)

Butterscotch - 5% (backed it down by half. Adding more didn't seem to get the flavor to stay...let's see if going the other way works a bit)
Butter - .5%
Cinnamon Danish - 5%
Cinnamon Spice - .5% (again, I just kind of dipped one of those mini pipettes TFA sends into the flavor and let what was in the tip go in the bottle. I really need to just 50/50 or more, it with PG and get it over with. Somedayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy)
Lemon - 4%
Sweetener - 4%
Vanilla Custard - 3%
Vanilla Swirl - 3%

Out of the gate it's perfect. It's now been deemed to steep in my steep box for 48 hours. I need something Saturday to vape ALL day with a lot of flavor, as I have been asked to cook at a Make a Wish Foundation fundraiser. I'll be stressed out enough that I should hook up an auto vape to just keep me going all day hahahaha I love to do those kinds of events, but being a bit of a perfectionist... I stress out over nada
