The State of Confusion
Hi all,

When I posted my tweak to Bill' recipe I forgot to mention the percentage of TFA Sweet Orange* I used....

DOH!

Original recipe:

TFA Orange Cream 9%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4%
FW Vanilla Custard 2%
Ethyl Malto 5%

ADDED: TFA Sweet Orange 7%

The percentage was based on subtracting 2ml of dilutent and adding 2ml of TFA Sweet Orange per 30ml.

I also added three drops of sweetener to this last batch and it's killer!
(For 30ml).

Homer Whoo Hoo.jpg

* TFA Sweet Orange is only available in the bulk section of their web site

Oh boy if you could post that raspberry custard recipe I would be forever grateful. I'm putting together my order list for all the stuff I'm going to get to start my diy journey and I intend to make every fruit/custard combo right out of the gate. Have many index cards with recipes written on them I can't wait to brew. Most from this very thread. Hopefully someday I can repay you by posting some creation of mine lol.

Also, thanks to everyone here, big shout out to bill, for inspiring me to start diy'ing. I never even considered it because I honestly thought making juice as good, or better, than what I buy would be an impossibility.

You...guys...are amazing for taking the time to share all this information and for being so generous with the fruits of your labor

I should add, my girlfriend is thankful I have been paying her more attention after work these last few nights, because many nights prior were spent reading every post in this thread lol

Absolutely, I'll post the recipe. Keep in mind that it came directly from this post http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...entice-flavoring-thread-346.html#post14228238

Custard Base:
Cotton Candy 7%
Vanilla Custard 6%
Bavarian Cream 6%

The suggestion was to add a primary at around 10% (notice that it's already a 19% base, so I would have gone up to 11% without tweaking).

I just added the Raspberry at 10%, and it was good immediately. If you have Raspberry (Sweet), it might be a bit different; I think the regular Raspberry is a bit stronger, but surprisingly like a real raspberry.

With planning like yours, you're sure to be very happy with DIY very soon! (I ended up getting at least 8ml of each of these flavors from the link from Wizard Labs for my second order, and a few select 4oz and 1oz from TFA directly) Keep us updated :)

I just made some RY4 D that came directly from TFA, and see no difference with the one I ordered from RTS eight months ago. To be honest, they both have a chemical taste.... But I guess I am the only one to taste it. Everyone else seems to like the flavor.

Exchaner that chemical taste you refer to is the taste that alot of us find appealing. The Halo e-juice company makes a juice called Tribeca and alot of us started on it...TFA RY4D is the taste in that juice. So I guess you can say RY4D brings some of us back to our vaping childhood. :D

Batch Day. While yesterday was 14 different Danish flavors, and perhaps 30 - 100DT's, today is about putting my favorites in 30 ml bottles, and letting the juices do their thing. Just made strawberry, apple and lemon Danish. Lemon is strong (and delicious - my favorite). Apple is just wonderful and Jo's favorite. While is was suggesting to Jo that the apple just begs for .5% cinnamon (spice), she was equally as sure that it didn't, perfect the way it is. The apple is definitely an ADV. Happy to report that I now have a dutch apple pie, an apple jacks, and now an apple Danish in the flavor cabinet! :D

Strawberry was just ok, usual problems with it. I would like to bombard it with creams and sweetener to get the strawberry I normally make, but at 30% flavoring now, probably won't bother. Jo liked the strawberry better than the lemon, and the apple the best. As mentioned previously, though, the strawberry may be better at 10%, which would allow 2% higher sweet cream, which might "solve" the flavor issue with TFA Strawberry (sweet). I used 12% fruit flavoring in all three today, so the recipe(s) looked like this:

Apple/Lemon/Strawberry Frosted Danish

Apple/Lemon/Strawberry - 12% (Pick a single fruit, though fruit mixes are hardly new either)
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Waffle/Belgian Waffle - 2%
Butter - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) - 2%

If you don't want the CCI, drop it, and add 1% each to butter and sweet cream. These complex recipes are true flavor bombs and have great separation in the flavorings. Me likee! :D :toast: :vapor::ohmy:

Clearly, a base flavoring of everything but the fruits could be made up and would be ready to go.....just add 12% and/or PG, and you're done!

I would think this would work equally well with any berry / fruit flavor???

Good morning :)

I was just headed down to the lab and read your post. I believe I'll try that Apple w/Cinnamon and see how it takes. I do care quite a bit for the Cinnamon (spice) flavoring...so I may end up with a lil higher % than most. We shall see. Since I can tell I am tasting a lot better today, maybe I wont. It's just hard to say ;)

It's awesome that you're digging this! I think we allllll learned quite a bit over the last week and I too want to thank you again for this journey. I came into this DIY thing thinking I'd pick up a flavor, create it and live with it. Now I see that was completely unrealistic. We as humans need variety by nature-THIS is a darn good way!! ;) There is also the fact that you're willing to share and help individually. That is rare enough IRL, let alone on the internet. I feel like I have made a good friend as well. Again, RARE. Thank you very much for this journey and education Bill. I wouldn't have thought about any of this (helping myself) if it hadn't been for you.

:)

Now, off to the lab!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I can't hardly walk after yesterday, might as well sit LOL)

I finally had to lower my nic level, by the way. Even 20mg was just giving too much throat hit, but 15mg is buttery smooth :vapor:

That Lemon Danish sounds great Bill. Have you ever made a Lemon Pound Cake?

Here is a recipe that was made for lemon cake together between mekc57 and Bill. I can't WAIT to try it myself!!!!!

Lemon Cake

Lemon - 10%
FW Yellow Cake - 7%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Sweet Cream - 4%
3% LA CCicing

Sooooo luscious sounding! I'm now out of CC since I made more of Bill's Cinnamon Roll this morning-so I can't mix this while I'm down here :(

I have posted a lemon cake recipe on this thread within the last month or so. Here somewhere. I love lemon, sweet lemon vapes. The Lemon meringue is my favorite. So, I have a lemon meringue, a lemon cake, a couple of lemon danishes now, a lemon cake with frosting, a lemonade (tank cracker), and a lemon starburst. Like apple and strawberry, lemon is a good multi-purpose flavoring and I recommend it on initial flavor stocking. :toast:

Here's my:

Lemon Cake

Lemon - 10%
FW YELLOW Cake - 7% (EDIT)
Cotton Candy - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Sweet Cream - 4%

A solid 30% recipe. As mentioned, you can add frosting to this, but I think the cake tastes better without it. :2c:

Bill-Is the yellow cake like...."batter" or "baked"? I'm not sure if that makes sense. I was just asked by my neighbor if I could manage something like cake batter with caramel. Well, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the TFA Caramel flavor and have 4oz of it lol, so I'm all good there. But he was pretty specific about the batter part. I only see the Red Velvet and Vanilla Cupcake flavors on TFA. Is there a batter type flavor that I perhaps am missing?

I can't remember if it is capella or flavor west, but one of those 2 has a cake batter flavor. Can't say if it's good or not,but i remember seeing it.
Speaking of the 4oz. caramel,i have to put that in my next order.I tried going off of memory as to what i was low on,i thought i was almost out of juicy peach so i ordered it,today i realized i still have enough peach, but only a 1ml or so of the caramel,so much for memory haha.

I have listed Pie Recipes, Cereal Recipes, Candy Bar Recipes, and now Danishes: :D

Cinnamon Danish (my ADV for last couple of years)

Cinnamon Danish - 10%
Cotton Candy - 10%
Bavarian Cream - 6%

Peach Danish - Original (my third ADV....ever!)

Juicy Peach 8%
Vanilla Custard 4%
Brown Sugar 2%
Butter 2%
Sweetener 2%
Waffle 1%
Sweet Cream 1%

Raspberry Frosted Danish

Raspberry - 8-9%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Waffle/Belgian Waffle - 3%
Sweet Cream - 2-3%
Butter - 2-3%
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) - 2%

Apple Frosted Danish

Apple - 12%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Waffle/Belgian Waffle - 2%
Butter - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) - 2%

Lemon Frosted Danish

Lemon - 12%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Waffle/Belgian Waffle - 2%
Butter - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) - 2%

Pecan Danish

Cinnamon Danish - 10%
Cotton Candy - 8%
Pecan - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 2%
LA Cream Cheese Icing - 1%

Banana Cream Danish

Banana Cream - 10%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Ripe Banana - 3%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Waffle/Belgian Waffle - 2%
Butter - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%

I like this one a lot. I think it's a Danish, but it's also close to a banana cream "cream." I suppose I could add more Belgian Waffle. I think it loses a step when I added the CCI. Also, the banana really comes out with power over 10 watts.....higher heat. :thumb:

Cream Cheese Danish

Cream Cheese Icing - 4%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 4%
Belgian Waffle - 4%
Sweetener - 3%
Sweet Cream - 3%
Butter - 3%

Cream Cheese Icing is a strong flavor and will take over the mix, muting other flavors, but then flattening itself. 2% was too little, 6% too much. With this flavor you want to taste the cream cheese icing, but all the other flavors as well. What do you think? :?:

All other danishes that I have made are variations of these recipes. The sky is the limit and danishes work great with cream cheese, fruits and nuts. Delicious eJuices. Perhaps one of the very best flavorings (sweet) possible. Certainly one of my favorites. Anyway, so my Danish recipes here, all in one place. Hope this helps! :D :toast:

Mine just says Yellow Cake, and there's only one where I purchased them from. LorAnn, Capellas and Nature's Flavors each has a cake batter flavoring.
