I would like to get back to TFA flavorings and recipes, but I need to share my new vaporizer:

Provari P3.jpg

I have three variable wattage devices and this just became my favorite in the last five minutes. Menu is different, but the manual is actually really good, and this thing rocks. 5.5 amps, .7 ohms, 6 volts, 20 watts, pretty much perfect for my normal vaping with my Taifun GT's. New GT II is now out this week. Will check that out soon too, but I have a few GT's, so it'll be a while before I can build up my gear again. Anyway, that's all for now. :toast: :D

That's a nice looking setup. The only vv/vw stuff i had was a couple vamo's and an mvp,and neither of those are powerful enough since i usually use my mech's,so i finaally decided to upgrade during the black friday sales.I picked up a dna 30 box mod from clouper. As of right now, this is the best thing i've bought yet.I'm pretty dissapointed though,i won a seven30 26650 vv/vw from one of the suppliers here on the forum, they shipped it out monday, the mail carrier scanned the package at the time they picked it up,and then it seems to have vanished.Never scanned again since monday, not even a scan showing it ever got to the post office,so i'm thinking the mailman may be sitting home enjoying a nice new device haha.I'm still hopeful, but doubt it's going to show up.

At that wattage, you definitely want to make sure you've got your wick setup perfectly.I've been using my new 30 watt box mod and trying out all the different settings,so of course i had to try it at 30.One of my kayfuns i got that burnt taste, but i didn't do the best wick job the last time i set that one up.My other kayfun and my orchid are both working fantastic at 30 watts.Actually the kayfun i'm using a tobacco extract in,and it's the best i've had yet.

b.m., don't despair quite yet. I had a package 2 weeks ago that only showed electronic notification of the label created, nothing for a week, then suddenly it was in my town and in my mailbox. I am still getting notifications from USPS for packages that were delivered yesterday. There is still hope. I also received a package today that was torn open, fortunately all the flavors I ordered were intact. Crazy time of year for mail....

But they should NOT mess with the ever important vape mail!!!!

Congrats on the nice win! Last night I found out I won a mod in the Beyond Vape monthly contest! I chose the Spire, a VV/VW mod. I use mostly regulated devices and use low wattage/voltage. On the site it looks great, same chipset as my Segelei Zmax so no learning curve. Just curious as to what makes it a $100+ device. I hope to find out soon. :)

Nice set-up Bill. I have had my P3 for about a month now (bought it from a local B&M), and I absolutely love it! I agree that the menu system is a bit involved, but after you play around with it for a few days...it's pretty easy. :thumb:

Bad week in my vape world. The wife welded my 91% russian together when her coil shorted in her mech... No explosions so there's a testament to protected IMR batteries.

I stripped the 510 adjustment screw on my hana clone. The 510 connector I replaced it with won't work with my favorite atty, my Heron.

On the bright side it gave me an excuse to capitalize on a vaporshark dna 40 for $150 on cyber monday. Probably going to replace the Russian with a lemo, I hear good things about them.

Oh,i haven't given up hope yet haha.I know what you mean,i have had a few tracking numbers go screwy before, but they always at least showed acceptance at the post office,Since monday, all this has shown is picked up by the carrier, and it estimated delivery wednesday,so it's definitely off on that, but yeah i'm keeping my fingers crossed haha.Like you say though,it's a crazy time for mail with all the holiday stuff getting mailed out, plus all the black friday/cyber monday stuff.
Congrats to you too,i forgot i did see your name on that thread as the monthly winner.I'm the same as you, definitely curious what makes some of these devices so expensive.I couldn't believe that seven30 was going for what it is,i would never have bought one,but since it will be free to me if it ever shows up,i'll gladly put it to use haha.I think what bugs me the most though,is since it's a 26650,i bought 2 batteries for it,i dont have any 26650 devices,so if this doesn't show up then i have 2 batteries that i can't use haha.

That's the main thing i'm always concerned with on my mech's is shorting out.To try and keep it from happening,i always put my atty on one of my regulated devices first since they have safety stuff built in,then once i know there is no short,i feel a bit better about using it on my mech. That sucks about stripping that screw,i hope i don't do that on mine, but once i got it set,it seems to be in the right spot for all my atties,at least so far,so hopefully i don't even need to move it.
I've been reading alot of good reviews on that lemo, thinking of picking one up soon too.

I would definitely vape at 30 watts if it tasted better for me, but my little 11 watts works best with my gear and my juice. I use a coil around 1.2-1.5 ohms and got used to that with my APV's. Now that they go to .7 ohms, maybe I'll work on a new coil, but what can I say, I'm really happy with my vape right where it is, and have been for a year! This was my first new mod in just over a year, well, beside my Eye, so I've been a good boy. Two years ago I decided to own every Chinese APV on the market, and pretty much succeeded (something around 35 APV's) until I discovered that there are better devices, and I've stuck to them ever since. I did own A GG and an Ithaka, but they weren't as good as my other gear, and not really all that fun to setup. I'll leave that one to you younger guys/gals. Hey, I know a good vape when I finally found one, and I'm just very, very content. Nirvana is different for all of us, and more power is not going to give me a better vape, regardless of how big a cloud I can make....but that's just me. To each their own. :toast:

I have only been vaping since march of this year,so i'm still in that "ooh ahh" stage haha.I'm considering a provari when i get my taxes in febuaury, but haven't decided yet, since i'm actually quite happy with most of what i have already, but at the same time,i'm one of those guys who goes way overboard on everything i get into haha. The way i look at is,why choose just 1 when i have a whole shelf i can fill up haha.Plus if the day ever comes that we can't openly buy this stuff anymore,i want to make sure i am covered until i'm gone haha.

, I'm guessing you were trying to dilute it first, I've heard people doing this before with stronger flavors. We'll figure it out:) maybe:toast:
I have a few that I have taken a couple of ml's of and diluted 50/50 with PG because they were way to strong.
Mom, hope you get past all of these winter germs soon

Bill, the new P3 looks like at really great mod. I'm sure you'll get many quality vapes from that unit. I debated myself over the P3 or something DNA 40. I went with 40 to see what all the hype was about. It's finicky about the builds you make, but is stellar when you do it right...On the other hand, speaking on new devices. I've been vaping for around 5 years now and never had a mech mod. So now I'm getting a couple of those to play with. I'll probably kick them eventually Ha....

Also wanted to share a recipe. The wife has been asking me to make her a choco mint. With the talk about Andes mints a few pages back, I thought I'd give it a try myself...To be fair, I got my inspiration from Bills Chocolate Covered Cherries recipe. I just juggled things around a bit and of course, No cherries. It's pretty tasty. The peppermint is up front with the chocolate on the follow. Not really sure it's an Andes mint either, but we like it....:D

Double Chocolate 4%
Milk Chocolate 4%
Vanilla swirl 6%
Bavarian Cream 4%
Cotton Candy 6%(I used EM)
Butter 2%
Peppermint 4%(Caps, because that's what I have)

Sounds wonderful. I will try this when next in the Vape Lab and inspired! Wow, Christmas really changes my daily routine in so many ways, and with so much travel lately, I miss my Lab. :(

Of course, it'll be there when I'm ready and able. My vaping cabinet is in pretty good shape and ready to go (and these are old pictures):

Mornin' everyone.... Got a question about TFA Lemon-Lime. I've tried it in a few recipes, and it seems that it clouds immediately when I add my PG/VG (50/50). I had one flavor I'd made that seemed kinda skanky. I would shake the bottle before filling a tank, and it looked like I had soap bubbles (which then made me wonder if I'd completely rinsed the bottle from washing it!) Dumped that bottle (only 10mL) and rewashed and rinsed extremely well. Made a lemon/lime cheesecake, and the juice clouded again.

The flavoring has a slight tint of yellow to it (which doesn't surprise me). Just wondering if this is normal for this flavoring....

Thanks :)

I could be wrong, but lemon-lime has some natural flavor in it,which is the oil from the fruit,so that is probably what is causing the cloudiness,as sometimes those oils wont completely mix with pg or vg,so when shaken up,it is just trying to mix together.Like i said,i could be completely wrong, but that's what i think may be happening, although that flavor is listed as a tank cracker too,so it could be the same issue mentioned a few pages back about melting some of the plastic, either in the syringe or in the bottle.

Use glass only throughout the process. Cloudiness should go away. That flavoring is not compatible with plastics. Good luck! :toast:
