thank you....again......and I def have to agree with you on the KGD cotton.....I have NEVER tasted juice unil I started using it.....it opened up like the TAH-DAH tingy.....and sounds silly but an even bigger surprise is my rebuilt coils in my EVOD STILL gives me the best vape around when KGD cotton is in there !!!!!
Gotta love BVC coils....but my heart belongs to a coil with KGD.

Thank you Bill for all the help, love reading through all your posts, always helpful. A philosophy of mine in many parts of my life is that the best way to learn is to teach. Which is why I have been trying to help others out around here too where ever possible. Whenever I see a question that isn't based 100% on experience, I do my best to research the topic so I can help out that person, and in return I learn more too :) At times I feel like I am almost like an automated messaging system for when you are unavailable, many times I am just saying "Well according to Bill...", but it helps others, and then more people give their input and the collaboration begins :)

As for my Blue Watermelon I posted the other night, while I was thinking it was decent at the time it seems to have lost its Umphf quickly. I can tell its missing the small sweet notes and creams as you noted, just tasting dry and bland now. I think tonight I will do up another batch of it. Need to get into the doctor this week to see how bad my cold has settled into my chest, I have had a couple lung infections in the past and believe I am going for the hat-trick. Working in a Warehouse with poor air quality is only making it worse.

For those of you who have ordered flavorings directly from TFA/TPA, how do they package their flavorings - glass bottles?

4oz and larger sizes are in plastic bottles, except for certain flavors that react with plastic like:

Cola Concentrate

Cinnamon Red Hots Concentrate

Sweet Orange

etc....

It all helps though, after trying that batch, I vaped a little bit of a store bought blueberry watermelon that I had left over, and I can now taste the sweet cream in the background. The flavor is exactly the same, almost wondering if it is the exact same flavoring. From the batch of blue watermelon I made 2 days ago, I am guessing if I add 1% SC and a bit of sweetener I am guessing I can basically recreate this store bought juice.

You can get calibration weights pretty cheap on ebay, but a quick way to test the scale at lower grams,a penny weighs 2.5 grams and a nickel weighs 5 grams.

Well, in case anyone was wondering... digital postal scales (at least those that cost <$100) are accurate to plus or minus 1g. Good for parts, not for DIY.

Just curious, for testing batches what would be the best route to go? Should I pick up just a cheap dripper and swap out the cotton each time? I haven't done any coil building or anything but I wouldn't need anything amazing just to get a feel for the flavor. For the last year and a bit I have just been using a VTR, so no dripping or anything, but I have my second Cloupor T8 coming soon, first one died after 2 hours randomly (they figure a lose wire or something, mailed a new one out right away) so I only got a little taste of better clouds :p

An RBA or RTA (what I use) works pretty well. When mixing, I don't change out the wick in most cases, though using 100DT or about 3mls, I have a small tank to get through and after about 20 vapes, really didn't matter what was on the wick to start with. Otherwise, I would have to trade out the wick. Should work fine for you.

It's just an idea, and I'm not sure if it's my idea or if I read it somewhere here on ECF -- have been reading about DIY off and on for a couple years -- but if you will be keeping the same wick in your coil between flavors, you might try "rinsing it" with some straight VG/PG at your preferred ratio. ie, once you've vaped a flavor through the setup to the point that it's time to drip more (or change flavors) - drip some VG/PG on instead, and vape that - probably without inhaling (it's bland) - but then you'll know when the previous flavor is gone from the taste, and then vape the wick/coil some more until it needs to be dripped on some more (with the next flavor). But if you do this, remember the first couple vapes won't be a true read of the new/next flavor.

I mixed up a smallish bottle of PG/VG for this purpose when I started mixing. When I first started I was using some ikenvape i06 drip attys that weren't rebuildable. That got to be a bit of hassle so I got an RDA (a Magma clone) that was easy to change the guts out on. :)

In a Black Friday sale I bought a Peanut Butter Pie juice. I was really not sure; I have not enjoyed any peanut butter cup or nutty vape I have tried so far. Well, this is GOOD!! So today I got some time to play. I used Bill's pie recipe as a base and added some peanut butter. Really GOOD!!!! I might up the peanut butter, but for now, after only 2 100DTs, this is the mix. I am going to let it steep a few days before I decide on the total peanut butter.

all TFA
Peanut Butter Pie
Peanut butter 5%
French Vanilla - 4%
Sweetener - 4%
Pie Crust - 4%
Graham Cracker - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Butter - 1%

Might experiment with adding a little cream to make it creamier, but it's good as it is!

Sincere, extreme thanks to Bill for all his recipes! I am going through them and seeing what they can turn in to. They all have so much potential; the base is THERE!!! BTW, Bill's Key Lime pie is one of the best I have had!

Bill in this Crem Brulee

Crem brulee

10% Cap VC V1
5% TFA Original Caramel
5% TFA French Vanilla Deluxe

I cannot find the VC V1 anymore, they now have a VC V2 on their site???? :?:

I did email them asking if they still had any....I will follow up when I get a reply.

Here is a copy of the emailed question to Capella'

Question:
->: Do you still have Vanilla Custard V1?

If so how much would 4oz cost?

If not what about 4oz of VC V2 ? or

What is the formula to dilute the VC V2 Concentrate?

Here is their answer:

Answer:

Hello,
Please visit our website, capellaflavordrops.com.
If you type in the search bar the flavor you would like it will come up, you can also go on the side bar and there is a link WHOLESALE/LARGE QUANTITES.
There are bulk discount codes as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Now did I miss something here?

I guess this is why "we" try not to have to buy too much from these folks!

Bullcityvapor.com has both VCs, and I think they do have 4oz bottles.

I prefer the TFA Vanilla Custard myself. Less intense, perhaps, but more useful. Cream Brulee? Where's the brown sugar? Sweetener?

VC V2 or FW VC will work fine, or both together, for that matter. A lot of people really swear by both of those. :toast:

Bill,

Please do post your recipe,,,,I really do not remember where this one came from, besides from this thread....

I mean shoot, I am already up to $228.00 w/o shipping, I might as well eat the Ramen noodle wrappers, as long as I have my juice!

Common, what's another $20.00 or $30.00......FOOD!

BTW: Ever since I found this thread I have been swearing quite regularly!

:toast:

P.S. Oh yeah not to mention the &^$#!@ :censored: frozen / burst pipe repair yesterday....good thing the plumber needed some IT work! ;)

That's actually my recipe I've been trying to perfect. It's great but not perfect. I've already got brown sugar on the way for it now. Thanks for the tip Bill. It's already super sweet at that mix, do you think it still needs sweetener? I ordered some just in case and to make some of your Dutch apple pie.

Now after reading more I need to try your cinnamon danish. You really opened my eyes when it comes to mixing.

Vanilla Custard

Vanilla Custard - 13%
Sweetener - 6%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 3.5%
Eggnog - 2%
Smooth - 2%
Butter - 2%
Graham Cracker - 1.5%

Bill can custard and ice cream be subbed with vanilla bean gelato for this recipe tfa website says its a mix of both that's dik free

Sure! Will it taste like custard? I haven't tried it, but I suspect it would taste different that a true custard. May very well still be good. I'd say, taste test it with the 100DT method and check it out. Good luck! :toast:
