    Somewhere between here and there
Thanks for all the help. I have been around the forum for quite some time but don't do a lot of diy. It took me months to come up with a tobacco/menthol that I like. I don't have any vanilla or cream on hand but do have some EM and sweetener. I'll give the EM a try first and then maybe put in an order for vanilla or cream.

    Hi,

Just received some of my first 4oz bottles from TFA. They where shipped in a soft package and some of the bottles seals had broken and leaked a little. Do you think I should have them replaced?

    That's up to you.

If it were me, if only a very small amount was lost, I wouldn't worry about it. I've had a few deliveries with a few drips inside the wrapping, but never any significant amount was lost. However, if more than about 5% was missing, then I'd contact TPA/TFA to see if they'll replace it.

It seems that I am sensitive to the TFA strawberry and coconut, no matter how low percentage I can always taste that imitation flavor. I'd say it's floral.

Also, you have to add creams, vanillas and sweeteners to these flavorings. Same ole', same ole'! :toast: :D

Floral/Chemical notes do exist in some flavors, or can occur at higher percentages in some flavors. To eliminate those notes, don't wait to see if they dissipate, the chemical/floral note is an indication of an incomplete mix, not a lack of steeping. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Reducing the percentage flavoring of the primary can often times eliminate the floral/chemical note, or
    2. Add 2% strawberry, or 2% raspberry to the mix. At these low percentages, they will not be significant, if they can be tasted at all, and they will help "neutralize" the offending chemical/floral notes. Primary flavoring at 7%+ will overwhelm these fruits at 2%. Give it a shot. :?:
    3. Adding a good balance of creams, sweeteners and vanilla, even to tobaccos will not overwhelm the mix, if mixed at under 6% (each), and will supercharge and enhance the primaries. In so doing, they will also eliminate the chemical/floral notes in most cases. Many juices, including tobaccos, DO have creams and vanillas at low percentages. They round, smooth, and enhance the mix very effectively, and in small percentages are not significant, often not detectable. In most cases, the creams/vanillas/sweeteners will be the missing ingredient that we often cannot put our finger on.

    Good luck! :toast: :D

I added one drop of EM to 6ml of the tangerine and it really made the flavor pop and really didn't taste sweet. I have some concentrate EM I made from crystals and use in my tobacco menthol. Thanks for the suggestions. Now I need to try that in the blueberry I was disappointed in before.

Awesome, is this your recipe? if so, do you think it could benefit from Cream Cheese Icing (LA)?

Shooting from the hip but you probably would want to use yellow cake from flavor west for this mix. My workaround for never ordering fw is combining waffle cupcake and donut as above. It's not the same but still good in a different way.
