I found a recipe on reddit, strawberry ripe, vanilla cupcake, and dairy, I am replacing dairy with malted milk...honestly never had, just thought recipe looked pretty good, not sure how will compare though. ???

Mines the PT-1260, and has had the same batteries in it for like 5/6 years. Of course I only use it to label things in my recording studio, so it hasn't really seen a lot of use until I started making juice.Yeah I've just got a brother p-touch. Couple things I saw reading reviews etc. that might be good to watch out for is 1) battery consumption and 2) cut options. Apparently some of the current models are bad about eating up the batteries even when it is powered off. I've been pulling 1 row of batteries when I'm done so that doesn't happen. And as far as cut options -- some of the models have a few more cut options, such as a mode where it doesn't automatically feed and cut after each print. It means you have to cut each label yourself with scissors or something after you print several, but you don't waste as much of the ribbon/tape as "margin".
I am going to do a 100 dt this weekend with orange mandering .. I will let you guys know how it turns out .. I think I will also try that with lemon ..
The pink is my new favorite! But then again, those ARE my favorite starbursts too. I miss the pack they sold in the 80s that was just the strawberry ones! I was actually just looking at TFAs site to see if I could make the rest. I might even try the old lime one they got rid of and replaced with cherry. Please do let us know how it turns out. I'd love to get a hold of a good Orange and Cherry Starburst. I've never been a fan of the pink or lemon Starburst candy but I think I'll make Bill's pink recipe anyway.

Strawberry - 8%
Sweet Cream - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Cotton Candy - 2%
Sweet and Tart - 2%
Has anyone tried the tangerine? I started at 8% and went as high as 15% and still hardly taste it. Any suggestions?
Just an observation, but I have had really good success with vanillas and creams and sweetener in my juices. Often times when I hear about members having problems with their mixes, they don't use these supporting flavorings that enhance, brighten, thicken, and enrich their primary flavors. I thought I would go back to my post about how new juice makers can make great juice today and look at some of my rules of thumb. I thought it might be helpful to list primary flavoring(s), creams and vanillas, and sweeteners as a percentage of total mix. So, here's what that looks like:
Custards
Vanillas and Creams - 12%
Sweeteners - 7%
Primaries - 7-13%
Danish
Vanillas and Creams - 6-8%
Sweeteners - 4-8%
Primaries - 7-13%
Secondaries - 3-7%
Creams
Vanillas and Creams - 10%
Sweeteners - 5%
Primaries - 7-13%
Pies
Vanillas and Creams - 5-8%
Sweeteners - 4-6%
Primaries - 7-13%
Secondaries - 4-8%
Tarts
Vanillas and Creams - 8%
Sweeteners - 2-4%
Primaries - 7-15%
Ok, so overall, my favorite juice mixes have a range of uses of these common ingredients, as follows:
Overall Ranges
Vanillas and Creams - 5-12%
Sweeteners - 2-8%
Primaries - 7-15%
Secondaries - 3-8%
Every juice must be custom tweaked to match your taste sensibilities, but there are some rules of thumb that do work for me. My average juice will have vanillas and creams of about 8%, sweeteners of about 4%, Primary flavorings of about 10%, and secondary flavorings of about 5%, or an average overall flavoring of 27%:
Average Flavorings
Vanillas and Creams - 8%
Sweeteners - 4%
Primary Flavorings - 10%
Secondary Flavorings - 5%
Total Overall flavoring in the mix = 27%.
So, these are my rules of thumb, in hindsight, after making about two hundred different juices and over 50 ADV's. This is my happy place. Do you know yours?
Taste IS subjective. What works for me, may not work for you, so you have to develop your own flavorings that suit you. If you do this, you will develop profiles, probably similar to what I have shown here, with differences tailored for your tastes. After a while, the repetitive nature of juice making will cause you to instinctively know how to make juices that are going to match your tastes, as these lists show my tendencies. In so doing, you will find that you can easily design flavorings on paper, that surprisingly well work out upon first mix. It's because you have spent your time in the Vape Lab, finding what works for you. In the end, it's not magical vapor, but rather your experience that will give you the answers you need to make great juice for you, and your friends and loved ones.![]()

Are you mixing solo? Using any creams/vanilla swirl/sweetener??? See below![]()
You would need at least a sweetener to make it work. Flavors fall flat on their own for sure.I was just using the tangerine. I just wanted a straight orange flavor that tasted like the fruit. I might try adding some sweetener to it to see if it makes a difference.
Thanks for reposting, I am going to do strawberry and lemon. Going to revisit my pumpkin roll recipe too, sort of had some ideas last night, no gingerbread flavoring, but going to try something else out, hoping changes work for better this rendition, we'll see, this one has been tricky.
Bill, hope all is ok, missing your presence, guidance.
I will report and post if recipes yum or not as get to them, I mix, but don't hit for a bit, just cause I make a bunch at one time and get to them as go through them....I'm a slowpoke, I know.
