Hi.

I know most of you don't know me and I've never posted here before, but this thread is brilliance... or was. When I first came across this thread in my search to start DIY, I thought I struck gold. I read all 500 pages from the beginning. I created memo lists to save recipes that I thought sounded good to try. Lets just say there's 20+ pages by now.

@Bill's Magic Vapor was a godsend. His 100 drop test showed me how easy it was to make a new recipe, tweak it, and get it to the "delish" point quickly, instead of over weeks and months like everyone else was suggesting. At one point, he posted a list of about 25 flavors that make a great list for beginners as there are creams, fruits, sweeteners and mixers that can combine into many different recipes. That list made my WL cart.

But recently, I noticed I wasn't seeing replies from Bill as often, and just figured life had gotten in the way. Doesn't that happen to all of us at some point? Didn't think about it again. Life happens, that's why they make the bumper sticker.

I'm sorry for all the recent drama, and hope that this thread can return to it's former glory. It is IMHO the best resource for new DIYers as it has everything. Starting percentages, 100 DT instructions, good recipes, and a group of posters that are willing to help with all the stupid questions.

When I finally finish my start up research and place orders (or the vapeocalypse comes, whichever is first) I'll be back. I truly hope the thread will still be here with all it's members.

TL;DR - This thread is an awesome resource for the beginning DIYer and has lots of good recipes. Thanks for helping me get on the path to good cheap juice. I hope it survives and thrives. We shall miss Bill.

P.S. I'd love to see another "stone" recipe-off. The Danish stone and Milkshake stones are firmly in my "I gotta try this" file.

TFA Yogurt I found so far mixes best for me at 2% and the one particular recipe I used 5% Sweet Strawberry. It's a light flavor though (at those percentages). I can see TFA GY being temperamental (easy to make gross with high percentages) so just mix carefully. I plan on experimenting with other fruits soon.
TFA White Chocolate is also fiddly. I had one AMAZING recipe but when I went to look for it after trying the mixture, it disappeared. It's no where where I log my recipes. Just got sucked into a black hole. Just my luck, right? Working on trying to replicate the recipe but haven't been able to do it just yet.

Thanks retired1. Just curious if anyone has had success with TFA white chocolate in a mix.
I haven't mixed it for a while, so no particulars, but I mixed the White Chocolate 50/50 with Hazelnut, and it was yummy.
Loved my "Creamy Nuts", but have been busy with other experimenting for a while now
I also enjoy the TFA White Chocolate solo .. very creamy and is sweet enough on it's own for me.
I image you could mix just about any other flavor with it, and have it come out good.
I personally would stick to just mixing it with one or two others, since it's such a delicate soft flavor, that it can get buried real fast in a mix.
It's a flavor that's always on hand for me
It really doesn't have a "chocolate" flavor to me, .. just creamy, smooth and sweet...

Interesting... one of my posts from last night has mysteriously gone poof even though I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. I always thought if it were inappropriate the post would stay but the content would be modified to say something to the effect of (deleted because of inappropriate content) ... weird since I was actually posting about the usefulness of this thread and how helpful Bill has been in my DIY journey.

There are some recipes that call for 6 flavors or more.
Most everyone that has a favorite recipe that calls for that many flavors, will premix a bottle of the flavorings.
Then add the % required to a base, when ready to mix up another batch.
You premix the flavoring only, at the %'s the recipes calls for .. nothing else... no PG, VG, or Nic
It saves having to separately drag out all those different flavorings every time they want to mix that recipe.
Usually it's a favorite or ADV recipe.
Mixing the flavors only together, ahead of time, or adding each one at mixing time, makes no difference, other than convenience.
If you have a favorite recipe that calls for quite a few different flavoring, then make up a bottle of that "flavoring" and save yourself some time when you want to make a fresh bottle.

I started doing that when I moved from Nautilus type atties to RBAs. I had been mixing very high percentage flavourings - up to 30 % - which were fine in the "coil head" atties. When I moved on the RBA's, renowned for their flavour like the KFs I found that the flavoring was a little too much. So I started mixing the flavouring recipe first and then adding it as one flavouring to my base at around 20%. That is working fine for me now.

I thought I was having a good day when I got my new flavors from BCV. Then I came home to check my bank account and had three random unauthorized charges on my account. I'm not saying it was them but I need to get a prepaid visa or something to avoid future problems like this for ordering stuff online.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Not with BCV of course but soon after I bought flavourings from a supplier in the UK. At least they admitted their cleints' particular had been "visible" for about an hour although they claimed they do not keep payment details on their site. Still my CC was hacked. Fortunately the payments did not go through and I was able to stop it in time.

Retired1 went thru and performed an 'attitude adjustment,' and the broom may have been wide. :D Probably a credit to the genuine usefulness of the thread that it wasn't just closed. :thumb:

Early congrats on your upcoming anniversary, quite a milestone, I just celebrated mine yesterday!

I'm excited -- our wedding anniversary is actually 5 days before my no-smoke-a-versary, but that's 28 yrs, old news. :D But last night I hit a milestone I had been eagerly anticipating -- over $2000 not spent on coffin nails! WOOHOO!!! Less than a full year, and already not spent $2000... and that's just one person, at a pack a day. No wonder BT is disgruntled. :D  :D Neener, neener!
