Why even remove it from the bag. That is what teabags are for.

The only reason I can think of to remove the tea from the bags is because that would increase surface area of the tea itself. Allowing it to spread out will increase the surface area and make the process go faster and impart more flavor to the base. Inside the bag the tea is all bunched up... you can do it either way, it just depends on preference really...

Makes me happy to see you around, hun. I haven't seen you in a long time... how have you been? I saw an earlier post about you being picky about honey, which reminded me... did you ever try the Honey E-juice from Nola vape? That's still the best honey flavor that I've tried so far...

I'm still having financial problems. Got a gift of MANY MBV flavorings a few months ago. I recently ran out of my Inawera honey flavoring, but another gift of a highly recommended honey flavoring from Greece is on its way.

Thanks for thinking of me. Been sticking pretty close to Voltville and Old Folks.

I still visit NOLA on occasion, and will order from them when the money crunch ends, along with many other things......

Sorry to hear that things are still tight. I know the feeling... medical bills piling up, no overtime at all this year, and had to get the A.C. fixed at the house a couple weeks ago. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that things get better soon! And let me know how that Greek honey flavor works out... I've stopped buying premade juice and stick with DIY for now, but I haven't found anything that compares to NOLA's honey yet. Some day I'll order a couple of bottles from them to use in some mixes...

Ha! I know what you mean. I stick to about 4 threads most of the time, myself. I still go through the newbie forum and try to help out from time to time, but I stay pretty quiet a lot too.

I am sort of offended at the recent activity in this thread.
If, in fact, Bill took off because he was tired of explaining things I find that reasonable. He did explain a lot over and over again and I am sure that must get tiring.
I think there is always many ways to do things and I do not think anyone should insult or take jabs at another just because one likes one way and another likes another.
I think most of us have enough to sense to decide which technique, weight or measure works for us and will not confused and blow ourselves up.
I am new around here so my input my not be much but I think everyone should be respectful and KIND
I hope the kind, helpful people in this thread stay so I can continue on my journey of learning this.

Yes, I do get tired of explaining things over and over, and wrote blogs to take care of many of those chores. However, I am deeply involved in a work project that has a rather critical and difficult time pressure, and, am missing for work related issues mainly.

As you know, I am all about helping the new Mixer in DIY. As such, I prefer to keep things simple. While weighing our flavorings and what have you has some merit, I have never found it necessary to be that accurate in order to get great results, and, so, I don't advocate for weight measurement, and I doubt many could tell the difference between a volume mix versus a mass mix anyway. I know I can't, and I have a pretty good sense of these things. So, do what makes you happy, but just be aware that making something more accurate will not necessarily make it better, and there are many ways to mix our juices, with outstanding results.

On a project basis, I'm working on my first cask, and will advise how that turns out for me at the proper time.

Like our friend Channelvaps, and others have said, the most important part of this thread is to help others, encourage the new members, and learn from one another. Sounds like a worthy goal. I like this thread the best, when I am able to read about new recipes that members post. Either they provide new ideas, or expand on our craft in a positive ways. So, please share your creations and let others decide if they look like something they might like or not.

The last place I want to come is to a chat room, or forum where people are not being respectful, where ideas are not shared and tolerated, and where there is not an open dialogue with a spirit of cooperation and helpfulness. For the most part, this thread fills that bill just fine. I hope to return to daily activity on this thread, but that will more than likely be next year, given my workload.

I wish all well, happy mixing and vaping, and Good Luck! :thumb: :toast: :vapor: :2cool:

Happy to hear all is still well with you Bill! Hopefully we'll keep the melee to a minimum and focus on the mixing... I'll be curious to see how the cask works out for you... I've considered making the attempt to throw one together myself... I should still have some oak sticks laying around the garage... *ponders* I'll have to take a look now...

Vape on, friend... we'll still be here when you find the time to get back.

Thanks retired1. Just curious if anyone has had success with TFA white chocolate in a mix.

See below vvvvvvv

Here's an easy one:

white chocolate 6%
Graham cracker dark 6%
Bavarian cream 6%
marshmallow 6%

I was getting frustrated trying to make the perfect S'more so I just made one "backwards", i.e. white for milk chocolate, dark for clear GC, regular for toasted MM (wow is toasted marshmallow nasty!) and Bavarian cream because..........well, because Bavarian cream. Now I just need a snappy name for it like Dark Mystery or something.

Blessings to you @Bill's Magic Vapor. I've appreciated your wisdom and expertise.

I find that recipes for juice flavors are "guidelines" - FOR ME. It's up to each of us to determine what's "best" for us. If you use 8% flavor, doesn't mean I'm going to like it at 8%. I'm going to tweak until I get to where *I* want. I'm perfectly content with my graduated pipettes and "eyeballing" my flavoring amounts. I think I've only had to completely discard no more than 30-50mL of total juice because it was too horrid for me to try to fix. It's been a year since I've started DIY, so I don't think that's too bad of a success/fail ratio.

TFA Strawberry Ripe 5.4%
TFA Greek Yogurt between 5-9.5%
TFA Graham Cracker 2%
I made this recipe and steeped it for over 10 days. it does not have the 'bite' or 'tang' I longed for. Could I get some advice from some pros about what I might do at this point? I used 9% G. Yogurt. I thought maybe Lemon? More Yogurt? More of all?
Suggestions welcome

I'd have to try this to see what might be added to it. The yoghurt recipe I mixed was more of a coconut and banana cream thingy and included Bavarian Cream. I know I vaped it ATM. Which makes me think - you say you steeped yours for 10 days, but did you try the mix straight away? Sometimes I find steeping mutes some of my mixes rather than improves them - depends what they are I suppose. But I will give this a try and let you know. I'm off to bed now - it's late and I've had a very rough day. When gout and arthritis conspire to flare up at the same time it makes for a miserable time.

I did try it right away and the berries overwhelmed it entirely. Right away and 2-3 days later. I then let it sit for a week
