@Bill's Magic Vapor, I have been here for quite a while (years) and although I mostly read and take notes (have your blog bookmarked and recipes/notes in a file), I just want to thank you again for your patience and reposting of things/tips/blog notes you have posted so many times over. People come and go and this is a huge thread with so much valuable information it can be overwhelming for a new DIYer, yet you are always here. Thank you. From a long time fan and follower.
Many thanks, my friend clnire! Yes, we've both been around a good while. Appreciation is always very nice, and beats the heck out of being attacked, which does happen from time to time! :D

As you know, I'm all about sympathizing with the new DIY'er, as I had a rough go of it at first myself. Knowing how important DIY is to quitting smoking and staying quit, and given my own 35 year struggle with it, I really feel like I need to give something back, for the gift that is my own health. Least I can do, and I sincerely appreciate when others do the same, and encourage the members to do the same. So, thank you, and best to you on your journey! :toast: :D

P.S. The entire reason I have a blog in the first place is that I have reposted the same information, over and over and over, because so many new DIY'ers come and go, and, of course, the questions are always very similar. Saves time, and, like you said, it's a long-*ss thread! Best!

What is the flavor of AP? I have it but haven't used it as yet.
It's a very potent nutty flavoring. A little goes a long way. In small amounts it provides a nice background note, which can very easily exist with flavor separation. As such, it is very productive with complex flavorings when used sparingly. Too much is actually quite unpleasant tasting! Good luck!

    Somewhere between here and there
As Art mentioned, could be the AP. Easy to check and rule it in or out (2 batches for comparison using 100DT). But, pie crust flavoring is finding the right combination of graham cracker and pie crust flavoring, both, working together. Slight changes to the percentages will change the "dough" flavoring to a rather large range of flavorings. So, perhaps play/tinker with those two to dial it in. I'll bet you can nail this recipe with five 100DT's or less. Once the ingredients are nailed, adjusting the percentages of the different flavorings is all we have to do. Using the 100DT method, the longest it's ever taken me to dial in a juice is two hours (100DT). So, I'm encouraging you to do a wee bit of experimenting here until you fine tune that flavor you're after. Good luck! :thumb: :2c: :toast: :vapor:

I still have some of the first batch so I'll see if I can make one without the AP this weekend and do a comparison. I have some of the biscuit flavor coming too and thought I might try that in place of the pie crust just to see how it would come out.

I have the biscuit and the rest I believe, if I can get in to the room I will try to through a 100DT or 2 together myself . I will let you know but remember the inw biscuit is strong too so be careful

Great! Please report back on your results. I'm certain many of us are interested in this effort. Also, any insight you can provide into flavor changes due adjustments in the Graham Cracker/Pie Crust ratio would be interesting to hear about, as well. Many thanks and good luck! :toast: :D

I absolutely love when members here post the results of nuanced flavor experiments. It's just so helpful to all of us, as no one person can try all different combinations possible. By sharing though, we can make great progress in the journey.

Everyone, please don't be reluctant to post your results, good or bad. They're all helpful and save us time in our own efforts. Also, the more specific the descriptions, the better all of our recipes will become. I don't get into the lab too much these days, but I am constantly learning from all of you who so generously share your experiences. By sharing our efforts, regardless of your skill or experience, we can all learn from one another, improve rapidly in our own juice making abilities, while helping others.

For the new DIY'ers, sharing any experiences can start a productive dialogue that can rapidly improve your skills in the lab, and you'd be surprised how many people will benefit from just reading about them. So, please jump in! Everyone is completely welcome here! While this is a TFA thread, we all use other brands from time to time, some more than others, so that's all ok too, imho. The whole DIY thing can be a great hobby and "life saver", literally and figuratively, or tough going, particularly initially, because single flavor mixes don't work too well 90% of the time, making juice making far less intuitive that one might initially suspect. Save yourself some time and grief and participate, if you can. It can make a big difference in many ways. Good luck! Ciao! :toast: :D

As I'm reading up on this thread I'm vaping my first DIY juice, courtesy of one of Bills recipe's.

It feels amazing to be vaping this stuff. Flavourwise it could do with a bit more rest I guess, but being independant from the whole industry is somewhat liberating. Coiling, wicking, DIY juice... I feel like a million bucks.

Thanks to you all for setting me on the right track, and for the wonderful recipe's I'm gonna mix up next!

Reporting back on a couple of flavors people recommended here a while back

Crème De Menthe is my number one favorite now. It's good on its own. I've been adding other stuff to it like various creams, honey, and brown sugar. It's always good whatever I put in it. Bavarian Cream was the one I liked best but I'm still experimenting.

I also like Earl Grey Tea. I'm sure it could be better, I've added a bunch of different flavors but nothing seems quite right yet.

I've always wanted to try earl grey tea.

Ok. I just made a juice that I am happy with. I made it a week and just tried it and I really like it. This is just the first draft and I may have to adjust it as I vape it more and see how it goes. But I want to contribute and I have gotten many recipes and help on here that I felt this may be good enough to share. I have a few others that I am developing amd I will post them as they are ready. I call this Cuss Berries

    5% tfa Berry Crunch
    2% tfa Sweet Cream
    8% cap Vanilla Custard
    1% Marshmallow

Now I add 2% distilled water as I don't add any extra pg to my mixes it is all vg. That way it isn't too thick for my subtank mini.

The vanilla custard I think could be subbed with the tfa version I just don't have that one.

This is my first draft but I really like it so far and it is nice and sweet to me. YMMV.
If I adjust anything I'll be sure to let you know. I didn't have a chamce to taste it right off the bat, it has been one week. So I don't know how it shakes n vape.

Again thank you Bill and everyone else who shares. It has been a huge help and I am now starting my own juices along side of all the wonderful recipes everyone else has generously shared.
