I also like Earl Grey Tea. I'm sure it could be better, I've added a bunch of different flavors but nothing seems quite right yet.

I've always wanted to try earl grey tea.
It's no where near finished but I'm currently playing with an earl grey recipe. It's a hard flavor due to the astringent taste in high percentages. Thinking I might lower the honey a tad and add a bit more cream, maybe some lemon or extra bergamot.

Earl Grey Hot (+10 if you get the reference)
Earl Grey Tea 5%
Honey 5%
Bavarian Cream 5%
Sweet Cream 5%

I did a 100dt with the butterscotch pie and left out the AP and added 2% marshmallow while cutting back the bavarian cream by 2%. I think that it was the AP that was making the pie crust too strong. I'm still getting the taste but not as evident. Also, the pie crust seems to stand out more at higher wattages. At 14 watts it's there but not overwhelming like it was at 20-22. I'm not sure that I really like the pie crust flavor.

I think you have to use the ejuice me up calculator to open those. There's also a couple text lists of recipes which were what I was looking at.
Okay, thanks. I didn't realize I had to open them with the calculator.

What does your recipe look like now? Are you using the Graham Cracker Clear? :toast:

Yes I am using graham cracker clear.

    Butterscotch. 10%
    Bavarian cream. 4%
    Graham cracker. 4%
    Pie crust 3%
    Em. 3%
    Vanilla swirl. 3%
    Marshmallow. 3%

The pie crust flavor is still there but more subdued after sitting for a few hours. I'm testing it in an Achilles dripper with a 1.6 ohm coil at 14.1 watts.

So if I use 12% TFA then I should use 17% cap?
Since your mixing it with other flavors,i would try it at 10-12%.I have been using it in a strawberry cheesecake at 10% and it seems to work pretty good there, but it does take a few days for the cheesecake flavor to start coming out in it.

I've been using the cheesecake graham crust for some time now and like it ok but had heard good things about the cap so I got a bottle to try.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I tried 4% TFA Cheese cake Graham Crust, and 4% Capella NY cheese cake, and I liked it a lot, I have not worked on that one for awhile, I never really finished the recipe, but I liked that blend of the two. :)

That's a good idea. I might give that a try when I make another batch. I've been wanting to try the lemon Danish recipe and just got in what I thought was the remainder of the flavors I needed. I started adding flavors for a 100dt and realized I didn't get cream cheese icing. So I substituted ny cheesecake. I'm going to let it sit overnight and give it a try tomorrow.

I think you'll find that you can make all the Danish recipes with or without the cream cheese icing flavoring. This super strong LA flavoring adds a frosting taste to the mix, and tries hard, very hard, to dominate the mix. Use sparingly. Some of the danishes may even be better with the frosting, though, for me, I generally prefer the danishes without the frosting. That being said, I think we all need to try the icing flavorings as it is one of a kind special! A great flavor to keep in our quiver of flavor arrows, so to speak. Good luck! :toast: :D :2c:
