Hi all,
I've searched and searched for an answer to my inability to make a TFA Caramel Apple. I'm using Apple and either Caramel (original) or Caramel Candy. If the answer is here and I missed it, I apologize. But if someone could point my wife and I in the right direction it would be very appreciated.
I must admit that a good deal of my time looking for a caramel apple recipe has been spent reading posts about other flavors. The info here varies from interesting to captivating and I thank you all for your posts about failures as well as successes. It's been very helpful. We have a few that are almost good enough to post here, the best is a piña colada with a menthol breeze that is still overpowering but we're getting there and look forward to sharing it.

Ah well I don't know that's why I was asking. I thought I had read somewhere that sucralose did the same thing as sugar in an atty. If you don't use a lot I guess it will be ok. for that matter I don't know that stevia or ethyle maltose don't do the same thing. I'm just learning...
I know what you mean. I've given myself a very tight vaping budget since I started. I get my Nic and the 8oz flavor bottles from WL, two bottles of the flavors I use a lot. That was the best way for me to keep costs down and still have over 60 flavors to play with. I get my PG & VG locally by the gallon to save on shipping.
I only mix 30ml of my 3 favorites, putting 5-10ml in another bottle in case I want some right away like you lol. Luckily they are flavors that are good right away, and awesome after steeping.

I will go between 10 to 15%, depending on how quickly I want to vape it. I use the higher percentage every-so-often if I run out and have to have it soon... otherwise I stick down near 10%. I don't make it in large batches because this is the flavor that goes away over time.
I am still working on that flavor. I am not pleased with my results and am open to suggestions.
I don't know enough to say for sure, but i do remember seeing that some vendors of ejuice use "natural sweetener" which i would take to be some form of sugar lol
but i did try a juice that lots rave about and it does seem to be a bit harsh when you get down to the dry vape stage on your coils in my mind thats what sugar would do; carbonize (as in cooking with sugar anyone will see what i mean; ie. bbq sauce or marinade will char up your grill)
Sucralose in my mind would not be real sugar no?
oops i see someone answered that
what do the 5/5 or 2/5 number mean when there next to a flavor and percentage of they flavor for example
graham cracker 5%-15% 5/5
![]()
The first number is the amount of flavor to begin with 5%.
The second set is the user rating. 1 being low and 5 being highest. 5/5 means very good stuff... (2/5 is not good, 0/5 is terrible!)
Because of a dry wick, most juices are harsh at the "dry vape" stage lol.it does seem to be a bit harsh when you get down to the dry vape stage on your coils in my mind thats what sugar would do; carbonize (as in cooking with sugar anyone will see what i mean; ie. bbq sauce or marinade will char up your grill)

Strawberries and Cream.. anybody else have really bad experiences with this flavor? It tastes like neither to me, and even at 2% it's chemical taste and smell will completely dominate the rest of the mix.
I recently mixed this one at 15% by request for my wife's friend and she really liked it. So much so that I spun up a 15% batch mixed 50/50 to try myself. It wasn't bad at all, but I got tired of it rather quickly. That was just a bit too sweet for an adv.

"Natural sweetener" does not necessarily imply that sucrose is used.
Sucralose is an artificial sweetener. It is 320 to 1,000 times as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), twice as sweet as saccharin, and three times as sweet as aspartame. It is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions which is why many of us prefer to use it in our juices. It is not a sucrose derivative, so it does not have the potential to caramelize and gunk up your coil or wick as bad as other sweeteners can.
Splenda is a sucralose-based artificial sweetener derived from sucrose, having many of the same properties as table sugar, but still being artificial.
Lastly, stevia is a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of a plant, also with many of the exact same properties as sucrose.

Am I the only person who refuses to add sucralose or vape it if it contains it?

Well it sounds like you're getting somewhere lol. Trial and error my friend, trial and error. Most of my favorite mixes took quite a few tweaks before they gave me a "choirs singing" vape.@partyannimal
that chocoLate I've mixed up, stiLL turned out pretty bLand.. it smeLLed so much Like hershey's miLk chocoLate bars when I fired it up on my atty though. So much disappointment with that one. XD .. I added in a pre mixed cappucino in there, a few drops for the 5mL test batch I made.. and I put in way too much cappucino. LOL.. ended up overpowering the chocoLate. LOL..
