Your farther along than me then.I started mixing in April also, and i still just follow others recipes haha.I have had a few ideas on a couple i want to try and make, just never have the time or patience to sit down and really try at them.Blueberry mint sounds like it could be really good,i think some cream would really bring it all together.

I never have a lot of time either, I almost posted to get in on the danish vapathon, (I love dessert vapes) but I just wouldn't have been able to contribute much. But I recently cleaned out one of our extra bedrooms and I have made me a mixing room, now it's so much more convenient and I can whip something up real quick. Before I had to get everything out of the closet and set up, then mix, then pack everything back up to put it back! I'm loving it.

I thought it sounded really good too but not two flavors that I have ever thought of together. I think I might make her two different recipes, one with creams and one with out. I'm not real big on the mints/menthol/koolada or any types of cooling effects, but the a Mint Blueberry Cream sounds pretty good. I'll give it a try and let you all know how it turns out.

Hey bill!! Your cinnamon Danish adv recipe is this right?

Cinn dan 10%
Cotton candy 10%
Bavarian cream 3 - 6%

I made one batch and it was. Weird. Hahaha. Might have to redo it. It smells AWESOME but vapes awful :(

I'm assuming cotton candy is EM?

Burping out loud using Tapatalk

Cotton candy is the TFA flavor cotton candy. I don't make it from scratch, but buy the flavoring. Seems to vary quite a bit by maker. I've seen at least half a dozen different recipes for it on this thread alone, so I can't say that if you used something other than cotton candy, the TFA flavoring, it's a match. And, YES, that is my ADV recipe for Cinnamon Danish. It's pretty good! Good luck with it! :toast:

Bill (b.m.) is right on this one. You will need to add about 10% - 12% sweeteners, creams and vanillas to get this to work right for you. Something along these lines is my guess:

Blueberry Extra - 7-12%
Sweet Cream/Bavarian Cream - 6
Vanilla Swirl - 5%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Mint Candy - 1-3%

Keep recipe at or under 30% flavoring. Adjust to suit your tastes. You can use either Sweetener or Cotton Candy, any of several vanillas, and any of several creams. This would be an excellent chance for you to use the 100DT testing method that I've written about to find your ideal juice. My guess is that you'll be there in 4-7 mixes, taking less than an hour to amaze your friend! Good luck. We're all here to help you too! Give it a go, and good luck! :toast:

That's what i have to deal with right now,it's a pain in the .... to pull everything out, make a few mixes, then put everything back up.That kills at least a half hour just getting everything together, and digging through all the flavors to find what i need.I'm trying to get our spare bedroom back, but i have a 20 year old leach of a son and his girlfriend both leaching,i mean staying with us haha.

That sounds great ... I wish I had the mint candy, I just received a big order from TPA and figured I'd be set for a while, haha (that's never the case) I guess I will be putting in another order real soon!

I do have Creme De Menthe, but didn't think that sounded very compatible with blueberry  I might try it with the peppermint tonight and then make it again with the mint candy when I get it, just cuz I'm not a very patient person lol, and with the 100 DT I'm not out much if it's not good :)

Thanks again!!

LOL, I have that problem too, so I decided that the other bedroom, (my stepdaughters room that hasn't been slept in in over a year) is now mine!

I had recently asked the same question about TFA EM/Cotton candy. When I was asking about if the two are one in the same I didn't really get a confirmed answer. I was just at the TFA site again and, now I can't even find a listing for the EM diluted @10%. They do have the crystals though. If you read what they say about the cotton candy flavor it would lead one to believe they are indeed the same thing. Here is what they say in cotton candy description..."This is made from ethyl maltol, diluted to 10% in PG
It is not a strong flavor, since ethyl maltol won't dissolve in PG at higher concentrations. It is used as a mild sweetener and smoother for harsh flavors. Our Sweetener is sweeter than the Cotton Candy."
From what I remember about the EM description they said, "Em crystals diluted to 10% in PG".

On another note. I've been getting an order together and was going crazy with how many flavors I put in my cart. They all sound so good. That's not the best way to shop unless you have unlimited funds. Not my case. So, I got smart and went to Bills blogs, first blog. He list something like 31 recipes. In all those recipes he uses around 68 different flavors. So I just went down the list, marked each flavor and made a note as to how many times he used each flavor. It was interesting. It really helped me eliminate a long list of flavors I had just thrown in my cart because they sound good. Another thing I noticed is Bill has a very sweet tooth. I wound up with 16 flavors bought to produce 16+ different recipes that I'm sure I will probably enjoy. Not bad, I had over 25 flavors in my cart(and growing). I still got some flavors to mess around with of the 16 I bought, but the main flavors I got in 1oz sizes. Bills most used flavors are sweetener and cotton candy with sweet cream and vanilla swirl following close by. MOST of the 68 flavors he used to make 31 recipes were only used once.

Also, I made Bills Apple pie A La mode. YUMMMMMMMMM. It's a keeper! Now if I can only figure out what to do with the tira misu I have. My wife likes this stuff, I'm determined to make a recipe we both can enjoy. I personally think it taste like dirty dry chalk.

Was one of the flavors you bought Cotton Candy? I would encourage its use, since that is what I use in my recipes. I don't use the crystals, so if you're making some of my recipes, try it! Good luck. Your analysis was very insightful! I learned something too! Thank you! Good luck! :toast:

And YES, I have a sweet tooth! :D

I thought the tira misu wasn't that dry of a dirty chalk...

I did the same thing a few weeks/couple months ago, k5blazer!

The sheet amount of resources, in this thread, really is amazing for us new vapors.

I hope it goes as well for you as it has for me! I'm certainly not a pro, but I'm not wanting for juice, that's for sure.

I agree this thread ROCKS....Although I've been mixing for a couple years and now have well over a hundred flavors, I never tried to improve or expand my amateur skill. When I finally did come back to this thread, I found Bill's methods to make a ridiculous amount of sense to me. This has surely improved my confidence and abilities.

And no Bill, I did not get cotton candy on my recent order and I did mean to get a small bottle to make a comparison of the cc and em.
Oh well, next order I will get the cc. I know I need a large bottle of apple for that apple pie:D. The cart is already getting refilled.:p

I just did a taste test of EM. This is how I test any single flavor. I drop 15 pg 15 vg and start at one drop flavor, in this case EM. I got just a faint hint of sweet.
Rinse vessel, and repeat process with two drops EM. Hmmm, a bit sweeter, but not what I was looking for. Rinse vessel repeat with 4 drops EM, I have cotton candy flavor. I think with my test I could go to 5-6 drops EM before it gets funky. I'm still going to get a small vial of cc to confirm this though.

I never did a true taste test as far as vaping it,but the first time i made a bottle of the em solution up,i put a drip on my finger and tasted it,it was a perfect cotton candy taste,it was so good that i decided to taste another drop, and it was horrid haha.Point is,be careful how many drops you try in your taste test because just a little too much will take it to a whole unwanted direction haha. That was with the straight em solution though, not a final mix,so it was potent stuff.

I just figured I would share. I do want to say thank you oh so much to everyone in this thread. Before I found my home here (even though I lurk more than I post) I was basically just looking for recipes and duplicating. Let me just say - there are alot of bad recipes out there floating around!

I did start here by copying everything Bill said into a word doc lol...buying all the flavors he said to buy and making a few of his recipes. And wow I found making vapeable juice was possible! (Ty Bill)

I just starting this diy journey about 2 months ago so I'm not far along at all but I did wanna share something I made that came out really good - imo. There is a catch. So here's how I recorded the recipe.

I called it plain Strawberry & Milk #1 (not sure if it could fall into the milkshake category - maybe?)

Strawberry (sweet) 12% (strong off the gitty up but ended up being good maybe lower to like 8 - 10% per taste)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 7%
Vanilla Swirl 5%
Sweet 3% (here lies the problem - this is what I wrote. I believe it's sweet cream cuz usually sweetener I put sweeten)

I will say I think everything could possibly go down 1% or so - this was a juice that needed like a week to really shine.

So to the experts - do you think the % are too high and that's why it needed the time to mellow out and blend together? It also got that really milkiness after sitting. Surprisingly good :)

I can only speak for myself. I think Bill's recipes are great, I think his methods to arrive at something really good that works for you is even greater. His recipes(and percentages)are what Bill likes. I'm sure he wouldn't be offended if you played around with the percentages to suite your taste. If you haven't read his blogs yet, I would recommend them. Happy mixing...:D
