Hey guys I know this question is a bit off the norm dessert route which believe me is strange for me too! I'm mainly a dessert girl but I've Fallin in luv with Ry4's. So at this very moment I'm sitting here thinkin what can I mix with RY4 Double?

I'm thinkin hmmm - vanilla bean ice cream? Brown sugar?
I don't want to go with any fruits yuck (imo) I already did the Caramel thing.
Can anyone think up a recipe real quick? Maybe Vanilla Custard...... so many possibilities!

Don't use it much anymore, but there are some good RY4's out there. Here's one that I do like:

Vanilla Nut Crunch

RY4 Double - 12%
Vanilla Swirl - 6%
Acetyl Pyrazine - 5% (Can substitute any nut flavoring, i.e., pecan, hazelnut, almond, etc.)
Cotton Candy - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%

Adjust flavoring and sweeten to taste. Consider butter and creams. Something like this:

Vanilla Butter Nut Cream Crunch

RY4 Double - 11%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Acetyl Pyrazine - 4% (Can substitute any nut flavoring, i.e., pecan, hazelnut, almond, etc.)
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Cotton Candy - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Butter - 2%

I think this would be delicious, but I haven't made it yet! :toast: :D

Sent in e-mail for bulk upgrade...:) 'bout time I suppose

7 mixes this am, not tropical stuff as I was planning yesterday, but berries for me, lime stuff for mom. Love being able to mix as per whatever I feel up to when the mood strikes.

Bill those recipes look lovely, I haven't vaped a tobacco blend for a long while, and those are stirring my interest to try one again

Hi TFA'ers,

I haven't tried any of these flavors (Cheesecake, Graham Cracker, or Cheesecake Graham Cracker Crust), except in commercial mixes I am 99% sure use them. Here is the question:

Is CGC a combination of CC and GC--or is it a special sort of graham cracker flavoring that tastes a lot like the crust of a cheesecake? Or perhaps some other thing I have yet to fathom?

Hints, clues--or elaborate descriptions ;) --would be welcome and appreciated!

Edit: If there is an on-going, crowd-informed online database/blog/thread where TFA flavor notes are stored, I would love to know where it is.

Ok just mixed up the Vanilla Butter Nut Cream Crunch! I used Hazelnut cuz I don't have AP and I also lowered the RY4 Double way down to 6%.
I've made a couple mixes recently with RY4 Double and 1 I did 8% and for me it was extremely high so the second one I did yesterday was at 5% and it was much better. It also gets stronger as it steeps so the 11% above scared me!

I can't wait to try it. Only sad part is I made a 10ml (yes I have high hopes lol) and that was pretty much the rest of my Bavarian Cream. That's okay though cuz I'll just be forced to place an order tomorrow - oh darn.

I do have a quick question and the answer can include other brands! I have only tried Blueberry Extra so far as a blueberry and I'm not happy with it. What's a good Blueberry?

Remember that when you are using complex mixes, percentages can change dramatically over single flavor mixes, or even double flavor mixes. Use the 100DT and check these mixes along the way. No point mixing and waiting for steeping. Take forever to make a good juice. If it's good at the time of mix, it may be really good later, maybe not. If it's not good ATM, it probably won't ever be GREAT, has been my experience. Doesn't mean that juices don't improve (or get worse) over time, because they do, but always check the mix ATM (at time of mix). And then you don't have to wait! If a mix is lousy ATM, revise and adjust, trying again. This is how we do it. :D :toast:

I can't make a good cheesecake with either one. I'd say the Cheesecake with GC is the better of the two though, and then add Graham Cracker to it, as well. Cheesecake is a tough one. I have yet to see a good TFA recipe of CC, with or without GC.

Good luck! :toast:

TFA Cheesecake is rough. It tastes "thick" if that makes sense. I have used it @4% in a lemon bar recipe with good results but anything over that seems to mute any other flavors in the mix.
Lemon Bar
Lemon 12%
Brown sugar 2%
Butter 2%
SOUR 2%
Cheesecake 4%
EM 4%
Bavarian cream 4%

CGC is a lot more forgiving, and does have a hint of graham in it. I use it with key lime @8% paired with an extra 3% graham crust. It takes some of the sharp edge off the key lime like you get with a regular key lime pie.
Key lime (cheesecake?)
Key lime 12%
CGC 8%
Graham crust 3%
Brown sugar 2%
Vanilla swirl 3%
Bav cream 2%

My experience with cheesecake is that it will quickly overwhelm your juice's other flavors.

At 1.5% I get creaminess without the cheesey flavor.

At 2% I found it to be perfect balance of cheese and creaminess.

At more than 3% I find it nauseating.

My currently recipe contains 9% ripe strawberry and 2% cheesecake and I love it

I make my wife the Tiramisu and WOW...does it taste just like it!

I also like TFA's:

RY4
Caramel
Cotton Candy
Coffee
Double Chocolate
Peanut butter (Yeah, Peanut butter)
******************************
Strawberry
Kiwi These three together at between 6.5 and 7% each are DELICIOUS!
Coconut Candy
******************************
Chai Tea
Bavarian Creme

These are the flavors I have purchased so far & all are really GREAT!

Would it be rude to ask your Tiramisu recipe? My husband is starting to get into DIY liquids and I would love for him to make this for me!!

Wow :) Thanks to all who answered me! Plus % suggestions and recipe ideas--which I even have most of the ingredients to attempt--yippee!

I haven't actually worked with these concentrates, but I have been messing around with vendor-mixed single flavors, including what I believe to be TFA graham cracker and TFA cheesecake. I know, totally imprecise and unscientific..*slaps own hand* I have only a vague idea what the percentages of my mixtures are. But I gotta work with what I have.

So, I too have found this muting effect--where the cheesecake flavor (such as it is :/) takes over the fruits. Actually, I find this is true of the graham cracker as well, maybe even moreso: I have to add much less than I think I need to the mixture because somewhere between a few hours to a day or so in, it seems to absorb the other flavors somehow, leaving me with something that is too sweet, yet somehow also sour and bland...if that's even possible. It makes the muscles in the back of my mouth/jaw contract to remember it... if you know that feeling? I'm guessing this has something to do with acetyl pyrazine (in both CC & GC, right?) overload, but I am not at all sure.

I did have a couple of very happy accidents adding both lemon and strawberry to a cheesecake base, along with a little whipped cream. Sadly, as the (2mL) tank got vaped down, the flavor mutated on me into that unspeakable stew I was mentioning. Real fast, in other words. I guess I'll be as sparing as possible with both and first try out the lemon bar you offered, MasteroftheVape. (or at least an approximation of it). I do so luurve lemon bars. I wonder if pie crust would fit in there or act funny with graham cracker.

Thanks so much for your input! If I have something intelligible to report back, I will.

Edit: Thanks also for clarifying that the cheesecake graham cracker flavor IS a mixture of cheesecake with graham cracker.
Editagain: Does anyone have a cheesecake flavor (non TFA) they prefer?

It's been a long time since I ordered the blueberry from TFA, If I remember correctly it was the Blueberry Xtra. I didn't like it so much. I got some from Capellas, It was better imo. Then I tried some from DIYflavorshack. I thought it was the best of the one's I've tried so far. Maybe give a small bottle a try and see if it's the blueberry for you.
When I run out of my current Blueberry supply from DIYFS, I'll be more than happy to try the tfa blueberry candy, and the wild.

Are you trying to make a cheesecake, as Kiwi and I were referring to? Or are you trying to use cheesecake as a supporting or secondary flavoring, as MoV was referring to? Cheesecake does make a nice supporting flavoring in low percentages, but as a stand alone cheesecake, with or without GC, I've never seen a really good one. Perhaps Kiwi's 1.5 - 2% mix with strawberry will do the trick, but I haven't found that to be the case. As a supporting flavoring, say less than 3%, I think it could be mixed with almost anything, much like vanillas and creams work to make most other flavors work better. Just depends what you are shooting for. Good luck with your mixing! :toast:

Blueberry wild is probably the closest to real blue berry that tfa has, not really sweet. I usually use it instead of extra and add brown sugar/sweetener if I need it. Makes a mean blueberry honeysuckle.
Blueberry wild 10%
Honeysuckle 8%
Brown sugar 3%
EM 2%
Vanilla swirl 3%
Sweet cream 4%

MonicaRae, what are you mixing the Blueberry Extra with? Like most TFA fruits, you do have to add vanilla, creams and sweeteners to get them to pop right. Do you have a recipe that you were trying to make? Perhaps we can help you with it. Single flavorings, as a general rule, don't work too well with TFA flavorings about 90 - 95% of the time, depending on whom you ask. Good luck and let us know please! :toast: :D

Capella has an amazing cheesecake. It's my go to flavoring for making cheesecake recipes. Kinda like their vanilla custard v1

Ahhh. Capella's vanilla custard (both v1 and v2) are truly truly outstanding.

Using either one at 10%, with 2% TFA dulce de leche + 4 drops TFA cotton candy per 10ml = the absolute bomb for a simple yet delicious vanilla custard juice. Mmm mmm

It's actually REALLY good! I can tell with a little time (48hrs or so) it'll be even better but I can't help but to vape it now! I have a hard time mixing juices and then just putting them away for a week or 2. I don't like that whole concept.

Oh just a thought I mixed up one of your mixes - I think you may have referred to it as a sweet and Tart mix or sour?
You basically gave the base and said to add whichever fruit you wanted at the appropriate %.

I used Pear only because I don't have a huge selection of fruits and it came out good but I think the % of sweet n tart was a tad high -- FOR ME. The recipe only calls for 2% bit for some reason I can really taste it in the mix. Next time I'll def drop it to 1% or maybe even 0.5%

Taste is so subjective! Oh I also made the Dutch Apple Pie only problem is I didn't have french vanilla so I subbed in Vanilla Swirl I believe. I wasn't sure if I should've went dulce - van ice cream - Gelatto - van custard. So I took a shot.

And yes thanks for the RY4 recipes! I'm saving them all. Not sure what it is but I really like that flavor. I had a juice once that said it had latakia & perique in it (naturally extracted) but i luved that flavor. So light and sweet with vanilla too.

Oh, TFA thread, how I miss mixing! The semester is winding down, so I should have more free time in a few weeks... maybe.

I've been surviving on Key Lime Pie and some Apple Danish here and there, but I will definitely need to make a TFA order soon as I used the last of the key lime.

Bill, your Peanut Butter Cup was rated at 6 out of 5 stars by my mom, who has been known to live on peanut butter toast.

When I get back to actually trying to create rather than copy recipes, I'd like to try things that aren't mimicking actual foods (mimicking is super hard!). So if I like strawberry and graham cracker, I'll throw in some creams and vanillas with the two, without trying to make a cheesecake, for example. I haven't tried that much lately or had any success when I did try, and I think it's in order.

So, that's it - just a check-in!
