Been vaping that blue watermelon recipe for a few days now (lowered the SC to 1% for second batch, think next time ill do 1.5% and hopefully nail the sweet spot, haven't had much time to try other recipes, but got a bunch more supplies on the way now :) Cloupor T8 came yesterday, so been playing around with my atlantis. Ordered up a few more flavors and supplies for making the juice, and also ordered a Magma clone dripper and some coil making supplies. Should be enough to play around with for a while until I can save up enough cash to do a direct TFA order and load up on lots of different flavors.

Have you checked these out ??
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012175/2066300-kuro-koiler-wire-coiling-tool-3-piece-set
They are 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm
You can buy just one (any size), or get the 3 pack of all 3 sizes.
I wouldn't go over 3.0mm when building .. but that's just me
There's a video out there somewhere, showing how you can use them ... super simple
They also can handle "twisted" wires, and on the thinner wires, you can put two together, and they come out "twisted" right in the gizmo.
Worth a peek

I just pre-ordered a pair of Coil-Masters from rbasupplies.com -- The Artistic Wire jig makes some very nice micro-coils but its really made for artwork that uses coiled wire -- only 1 of the 4-5 crank mandrels it comes with (1/16" I.D.) is useful at all for making coils -- vs. the Coil-Master that comes with 5 different size rods specific to building vaping coils (1mm - 3mm). I was pretty impressed with it. That price the guy posted a scroll wheel or 3 up is about $10 less than what they go for direct too - I'm guessing they got a pretty sweet deal buying 2,000 of them. :) They just opened pre-orders up for the next lot of 1000 - supposed to ship around 1/24.

Congratulations CampbellMC! Sounds like some cool stuff you've got inbound. Please let me know how the magma clone you get compares to the others. Just curious -- because with pretty much zilch experience with RDA's all I know is the Magma is right up there with, or surpasses, a properly built/wicked Erlkonigin and both are light years ahead of the old Boge carto + phiniac tank I've been carrying around for ~2 years. I can't afford to buy a lot of different hardware but if there is something as good as or better than the magma for flavor in an RDA that is in the same price range as Infinite clones I'll put it on my list for next time.

The TFA Black Cherry is pretty good. I need to try tasting just that one flavor plus some VG to confirm but it seems to have a bit of a "woody" note to it also, lol. I like it. I could easily imagine it being a good flavor in the mix for some tobacco-esque type flavors, especially of the pipe tobacco variety.

I do have a small (6ml) flavor sampler size of TFA Cherry (extract) to try some of also. I used to order Cherry Ice (Cherry + Menthol) from Mister-E-Liquid pretty frequently - it wasn't a cough-syrup type flavor at all (and funny whoever mentioned Robitussin - I hear ya! BLEGH!). TFA Cherry (extract) is near the top of my list of the ~15-20 flavor sample sizes of flavorings I ordered on my first run. I've got 6ml of it to play with so should be able to experiment some and also get at least 1 good size bottle out of the sampler too. No idea how sweet the TFA Cherry (extract) is by itself, but I'll try it soon and will report here.

Quick question guys. I'm having a hard time with Blueberry. I made a mix where I added 3% cap blueberry & 3% blueberry extra. It's coming off a bit I guess perfumy even though to me it's lemony - figure that out.
I know it's not blueberry extra so it's the cap. Can I try a bit of Raspberry? If so how much would you say I try? I've just never seen anyone say add it to blueberry before.
Than you in advance!

Yes, you can at one or two percent should be fine. Or, you can add more creams to take up the slack. What else are you adding to it?

TFA extract is quite good. It is best used at low percentages with sweetener and creams and vanillas to bring out the full flavoring. Good with chocolates too. Givbe it a go! :toast: :D

That's odd. Forum member Sando7 sent me a 10mg blueberry that was Capella and it was the best bb I've ever tasted? I think his mix was at like 20% too!

I'm not sure if this has been posted or not, I've searched and not been able to find it.

This is the juice that got me from buying juice to making my own.

All of these flavors are TFA, obviously

Tobacco Cream
11% Double RY4
9% Caramel Candy
7% Bavarian Cream

You definitely need to steep it for at least 3 days, although 1-2 weeks is better. If you vape it immediately, it tastes a lot like Buttered Popcorn Jelly Bellies... which sounds good, but it becomes way too sweet after a few hours and makes me sick to my stomach.

Good to hear that the black cherry is good.I've had a small vial of that flavor for probably 5 months now,but have never used it yet haha.I bought a premade juice black cherry juice around the same time, and that was the most horrid juice i have ever tried. It was beyond cough syrup,it tasted like straight rubbing alchohol with a black cherry aftertaste,so after i tried that,i put the black cherry flavoring way in the back of the cabinet to try and forget it was there haha.I think it had to do with what ever way they mixed the juice though,as i dont smell an alchohol smell when i open the vial.

I'm with you, I have never had any cherry or black cherry flavor that didn't taste worse than cough syrup or like perfume - which has made me avoid any recipe that uses cherry flavoring (and I really want to find a perfect Cherry Pipe Tobacco recipe!).

I've also put my cherry flavors in the back of the cabinet (behind my girlfriend's spices in a cabinet that I almost never open anyway, haha)

i make triple black,
blk cherry 2%
blk honey tobacco 2%
blkberry 2 %

let steep for a few days to let flavors blend a little and it taste like capt blk
notice low percentages due to strong flavors, you could add crm to it to at low % but i havent

I'm not sure what it is but this is my 2nd attempt at this. First time I added .5% lemon and I was like woah overload of lemon so this time I left out the Lemon but there's still some off note.

JBlue Cheescake - 1st mix thought it was too much lemon

Cheesecake tfa - 6%
Blueberry CAP - 3%
Yellow Cake - 2%
Pie Crust - 1%
Cinnamon Sugar Cookie - 1%
Lemon - .05%

JB Cheescake 2

Cheesecake graham cracker- 6%
NY Cheesecake - 4%
Blueberry CAP- 3%
Blueberry Extra - 3%
Yellow Cake - 2%
Pie Crust - 1%
Cinnamon Sugar Cookie - 1%

The 2 cheescakes together are really good imo & I've used them in another mix no problem. It was so strange cuz after mixing I swear I could taste lemon but there's no lemon. I've used blueberry extra up to 10% without a problem so something weird is going on here.

whatever the weird taste is its not as strong as the 1st mix with the Lemon. I had to dump that one - this one is vapeable but .... off?

Oh, I see.....cheesecake!

I have yet to make a vapably good cheesecake...anything. And here I thought your problem was blueberry.

I cannot help you with this, though the lack of creams and vanillas would be where I would start. Try a mix with NO cheesecake, adding sweet cream and vanilla swirl and see how that works for you. Bet it'll be delicious, then you'll know the problem in the cheesecake. :2c: :toast: :D

I have only done a couple testers with my Cheesecake(Graham Crust) and I find it almost has to be vaped at lower watts. Everytime I upped the watts the Graham Crust flavor of the cheesecake comes off almost burnt tasting and stands out like a sore thumb. I am guessing for future recipes I will have to bombard it with some creams in order to smooth it over.

I make a recipe with the black cherry, some pomegranate, and vanilla bean gelato all from TFA that's pretty good. The only other cherry I've tried is LA and I did not like it at all

Finally, I was able to order some flavors... all 4oz.. my next post in here will probably be. "Finally, I was able to order flavors, but all at least in pint sizes or larger... cuz 4oz didn't last long enough."

Can't wait! I've been vaping whatever a friend had that I gave him a while back, mostly diluted by 2/3 VG for nicotine content..."just let me walk on the sunshine."

Talking of cherry. Not sure what the problem is, other than maraschino is too strong. I like the extract and have made some great juice with it. Like so many flavorings, they need to blend with other flavorings to work really well as great juice. Here's a cherry recipe that I really like:

Cherries Jubilee

Cherry Extract - 2%
Cotton Candy - 6%
Vanilla Cupcake - 4%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Jamaican Rum - 4%

This is strong and flavorful. Not for the faint at heart, but not overwhelming either. TFA Cherry extract needs to be used very sparingly and with creams sweetener et al. If you are having trouble with cherry, try this one, and good luck! :2c: :toast: :D
