Last test batch made it better. My wife likes it -- that is the overall goal!

This isn't perfect yet but it is very close and definitely something I could vape all day. I started from a recipe I saw someone post a while back for an After Dinner Mints flavor and twiddled from there.

This recipe was developed at 60/40 VG/PG ratio (it's closer to what my wife is used to than what I'm vaping lately - 70/30).

Snow Day knockoff - All TFA flavors
9% TFA Peppermint
5% TFA Sweet Cream
4% TFA Vanilla Swirl
2% TFA Koolada

You may find you want to sweeten it a bit - she is pretty sensitive to liquids being too sweet but this is "just right" for her taste. It is fairly sweet from the Vanilla Swirl. I may try another tweek or two but nothing major.

Enjoy and all comments/suggestions welcome.

Well its another Watermelon vape I am trying for, the lemon in another recipe made my mouth basically water so I was hoping it would have the same effect and give a nice moist watermelon vape.

Waterlemon
10% Watermelon
6% Lemon
3% Strawberry
2% Raspberry(Sweet)

Tried to use another fruit instead of the EM in this recipe. Tried this in an Aspire nautilus, and and Aspire Atlantis (and played around with wattage a lot but couldn't get it dialed in). The Strawberry could be an issue as well, I need to get Strawberry(Ripe) next time I think, the normal Strawberry is very dry.

So, four fruits, two very strong (strawberry and raspberry), and two very weak (lemon and watermelon), no creams, vanillas or sweetener/cotton candy. Fruits at 21%, supporting, enhancing flavors at 0%. Probably too many different fruits, add creams and vanillas and sweetener. Yes, without them, this recipe would be quite dry, not too mention, who knows what flavoring you actually get with the four different fruits. If you want the fruits to POP, please add sweetener, creams and vanillas. For making some general recipes, take a look at this post:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-juice-makers-can-make-great-juice-today.html

Those suggestions have made great juices with proven recipes. Study them carefully, learn the flavorings, the differences, etc. It provides all the clues you need to make great juice. There are many great juice makers on this thread, so study the contributions of all members over the last six months and you'll have a mountain of great recipes, learn how to do them yourself, and save a lot of time and frustration trying to figure it all out on your own. I lost six months trying to do it without help, and almost gave up on DIY. TG I had about $500 into it, or I would have been out of here. Anyway, my story has been told often enough. I just want to encourage you to look at other successful recipes for the clues to your own great juice. No need to reinvent the wheel, as they say. Good luck! :toast: :D

First thing I'd try would be dropping the lemon down and upping the watermelon. To me watermelon is kinda weak when used as a primary, have to up the % in the 15% range before the full flavor will come out. Also pairs well with blueberry @6% or so.

I agree. I start most watermelon recipes at 15%. Lemon's above 12%.

I did a test of this one last night and the vanilla came through strong, maybe I just need to steep the vanillas more, cause I do like vanilla but it stuck out too much.
12% Strawberry
5% Lemon
2% Vanilla Swirl
2% EM
Vanilla swirl is the sweetest of the TFA vanillas, but it's not a cream. Try adding sweet cream and possibly up the percentage. You might like sweetener in the mix better than EM (I recommend the cotton candy only). I think it would give you a truer strawberry, and definitely add the sweet cream (2 - 4%). Why strawberry AND lemon? Good luck! :toast:

Yah I suppose I need to walk before I can run, I am lacking in flavors atm, couldn't find many recipes which I had all the flavors for, but I got more of the base flavors coming in the mail now (Arriving Tuesday) so I can start making your recipes. Still going to be a while before I can make my TFA order and stock up on all the ones I need for more of the recipes.

I hear ya brother! It takes a while to accumulate flavorings to make recipes. About 75% of my recipes use 30 flavors. Still a lot, I know, but out of the 180 or so TFA flavorings I have, I still primarily use just about 30. You get on the TFA website and for me, at least, they all sound good! The basic 20 or so plus maybe 10 more that suit your preferences, is a great start. The bulk option on TFA is free and automatic, just apply, allowing you to get great discounts on the 4 oz bottles (primary flavorings). The "test" flavorings I recommend in smaller batches. Once you can make a good ADV, you're home free. Stock up on the ADV, then slowly add a recipe or two every couple of weeks or a month, and in no time, you'll have many great juices. Don't focus on more than a half dozen recipes at first. Get the basics and the flavorings to make those top six that look good and then build on that over time. Eventually, we call get there. Good luck, and let us know if we can help in any way! :toast: :D

Watermelon is not a strong flavor, so it can get tricky to make a lot of different juices with it. Here's my favorite watermelon recipes:

Watermelon Bubblegum

Watermelon - 15%
Bubblegum - 8%
Sweetener - 2%

Watermelon Starburst

Watermelon - 15%
Sweet and Tart - 5%
Sweetener - 2%

Watermelon Surprise

Watermelon - 14%
Watermelon Candy - 4%
Sweetener - 5%
Lemon - 2%
Orange Cream - 2%
Sweet and Tart - 2%
Koolada - 1%

Cool Breeze

Watermelon - 9%
Blueberry Wild - 7%
Menthol - 2 - 4%
Raspberry - 4%
Lemon Lime - 2%
Koolada - 2%
Cotton Candy - 2%

Like No Other Watermelon

Watermelon - 12%
Pears - 4%
Cotton Candy - 4%
Brown Sugar - 3%
Vanilla Custard - 4%
Caramel - 1%
Whipped Cream - 1%

There are a lot of Watermelon recipes out there. These are my versions of my favorite watermelons. My daughter Megan's favorite juice was watermelon, so we played around with a few and came up with these. She also liked just watermelon at 12% just fine. It worked better, imho, with supporting flavors, but to each their own, right?!

Good luck! :toast: :D

My taste buds must be weird he he. I love the watermelon on its own at 15%. Vapeable pretty much right after you mix it..

Bill how long do you steep the bubble bursts? I made 30ml of the grape last night (left out the sweet and tart for now though, just went with the bubblegum). Last night it smelled almost like the creams were overpowering it. Just got home from work and haven't cracked it open yet..

Was gonna make the pink starburst too but damn it, the ONE thing I forgot to order was the cotton candy! Vanilla swirl smells pretty rad, I kinda wanna try it solo he he..

Nude Nicotine sent me some BRY4 with an order of supplies and wow. Tobacco tastes pretty awesome without all the other crap in a cig! I'm gonna have to try to mix one soon. Its blowing my mind on the Magma!

I have a question for all you mixing geniuses. I was able to come up with a really great recipe for strawberries and cream, but so far I haven't had much luck with blueberry anything. I was thinking of trying to adapt my strawberry recipe to use with blueberry, like so:

This is the strawberry recipe I'm using, and it's great -- the supporting flavors are the same 16% as the strawberry flavor, and it tastes GREAT:

Inawera Shisha Strawberry 16%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 6.5%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4%
TFA Sweetener 3.5%
CAP Sweet Cream 2%

This is what I have in mind for blueberry, and I'm wondering if y'all have any ideas for how I might improve it:

TFA Blueberry Extra 15%
TFA Wild Blueberry 5%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 4%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4%
TFA Whipped Cream 4%
TFA Sweetener 3%
CAP Sweet Cream 2%

The blueberry flavors add up to 20%, while the supporting flavors are 17%. It's almost entirely a TFA recipe, other than the CAP sweet cream, which is why I thought some of you guys might see any flaws, or be able to point out how I might improve it. I'm just tired of wasting ingredients on mixes that don't turn out well; must be about a half dozen blueberry efforts by now that haven't turned out well at all.

I would swap the blueberry percentages and lower all the others by 1%.

Well, one of my failed efforts was with the blueberry flavors swapped; I think I find the b-berry extra more realistic, but the wild adds a lot to it.

Hey all- Making a list for order and had a few questions-

1) What's the difference between Vanilla Swirl and French Vanilla? The desc. for vanilla swirl says it like the vanilla custard without the custard (so vanilla?)
2) How well does brown sugar work as a general sweetener? I love brown sugar in general, but I'm not sure how well it'd go in things like key lime pie, coke, cherry limeade, etc...
3) Is there a huge difference between the Cherry Blossom and Black Cherry? I'd rather avoid cherries that taste like candy or medicine. I've been scouring the forums and people've said both taste authentic and like cough syrup. lol

I'm on a bit of a budget atm and I'm overseas, so I'd rather avoid getting anything redundant and nasty.

Thanks all!

Bill, in the watermelon recipes, you list sweetner.......do you mean cotton candy ? Or actual sweetner from TFA? I don't often see you not say, use cotton candy so just inquiring.

also on the starburst one.....if I was making strawberry stRburst would the percentage still be 15%

I do often use TFA's sweetener and/or cotton candy in almost every recipe. They are different flavorings and different "sweetness."
