Sweet! I don't know a lot of other rda's but I like how easy these are to build, clean, etc. And of course that flavor!

Yeah it's a lot better than I thought an RDA would EVER be. :D It doesn't HAVE to be that low-ohm huge-airflow knock-you-over kinda thing at all; mine, at 1.3-1.4 (depends where I measure it) ohms, is vaping great.

But I really am thinking more and more about the Veritas; seems to me that side airflow would be much better at preventing leaks, than the magma's air hole right under the dang coil! I looked up single-coil builds on the Veritas, and though it's entirely possible to do a regular horizontal coil, I also saw a pic for a single vertical coil which really piques my interest; I've heard good things about vertical coils, and this would be a good way to try it with a rebuildable coil. I think the Veritas clone is the same price as the magma, at eciggity where I got it. Surprisingly fast shipping too; regular 1st class, and they're in Hawaii, so I thought it would take longer than it actually did.

Snow Day knockoff - All TFA flavors

I finally had a chance to make this up this morning, haven't tried it yet,but it smells fantastic.Being i like all the flavors that are used,i went full in and made a 30ml instead of a small test batch haha. Also mixed up Bill's butterfinger recipe that i have been planning to make for like 3 months now haha. Now i just need to clean out the magma and do a little taste testing.

I keep wondering about adding some dbl choc-dark to this, to come up with something like a York's peppermint patty?

I have to admit I'm curious how this little 5ml bottle will taste now, since it has been sitting for just over 3 weeks. It has a nice orange-colored tint to it now and smells great.:)

Vaping it now -- good stuff! Still has the soft buttery peppermint flavor!

Whoa! I was thinking about that a little while back too - well, that it might go nice with some chocolate. I don't have the experience with the chocolate flavors yet but was thinking some chocolate added could be neat!

I've got most of TFA's chocolate flavors in on my last order (I think all but the one just called "chocolate") -- I will give a try. But feel free to beat me to it and lay claim to it!

I use a little of that dbl choc-dark in my smoky cappucino, along with the milk chocolate flavor; the dbl-dark smells precisely like bittersweet or dark chocolate, which is perfect for a York taste, along with the sweet creams and peppermint/coolness of your original recipe, as the creamy minty center.

In general I'm not too wild about any "cool" effect, it reminds me too much of menthol cigarettes, which I grew to absolutely LOATHE after I switched to non-menthol about 2 yrs after I started smoking. But for this, a York taste, I could definitely make an exception. Another variant -- I think I've seen "chocolate cookie" flavor, by somebody; with that and the dbl-dark, you could maybe have a sort of "Thin Mint" taste -- those awesome girl scout cookies. :D

I would increase the PG ratio. At 50 watts your gonna get plenty of vapor either way probably. :toast:

tks Bill and big lungs for the advise..i will stick to 70/30 pg/vg ratio..

Now have to think how to purchase and bring in the nic..the place im staying banned va ping and it not easily for us to get the juices locally..

Just tried the strawberries custard which i steep for one month and whoohaa..like it more than the mango flavour..

I got a magma like 4 days ago,and i gotta say that thing has reignited my interest in using a dripper.I have several others that haven't been used in a long time, but kept seeing the magma mentioned here,so i figured i would give it a shot, and it is great, this one will be getting alot of use haha.
You guys have to tell me how your building your Magma's & what devices you're using them on. I've had mine since they first came out & I've NEVER been able to get with it. I always get a harsh -- very very harsh vape from it. I almost traded it like 5 months ago but everyone was like omg why? So I kept it - then I just read Andria wanted one and didn't realize she bought one so offered it to her!
So please tell me! Should I go sub-ohm on a mech? High ohm on a dna 30? Single coil? Dual coil? 26/28/30gauge? Arghhhhhh.......lollll

Anyone here use or have tried acai or black currant flavors lately(need to thread search too, see if any flavor notes besides % in history)? Cranberry? I'm thinking the first two for tart background notes for blueberry and BlackBerry flavors....I know, I like the odd flavors that no-one uses much at times...I'm thinking cranberry to mix with the oatmeal cookie I got recently....Will be a little before even place next flavor order, just trying to get opinions first

Monica, no idea, I tried a dripper way back one of the igo' s for a cheap trial dripper, too harsh for me even at low nic and high vg, I gave up, stick with tanks....didn't like kraken clone either...I looked at magma too but....hope the others can offer advice

Andria, you saw a robin....really....sheeesh, frigid up here...I can't wait until spring, I want to see robins too

According to my notes I have both the Acai and Black Currant starting at 5% flavoring. The Acai makes a great addition to the Grape Juice flavor to round it out more.

Grape Juice
Grape juice 8%
Acai 2.5%
Sweetener 1.4%

I've got mine set up with dual 28 gauge wrapped around roughly a 2mm mandrel,10 wraps, this gives me .9 ohms and i've been running it at around 12-15 watts. If you are using any rebuildable tanks,i would set your magma up with the same coil set up you run in that,so say you use a kayfun at 1.2 ohms, then i would set the magma up with the same coil size and then play around with wattage to find where it works for you.I've been running my orchids with the same 10 wrap .9 set up,so thats what i went with in the magma and it works great for me like that, although i am at 18mg nic. so the magma blows me away after about 5 minutes of dripping that high of a nic content haha, but yeah, the best way is to start with the coil set up you know works for you, then play around and adjust from there.

I use a regular old single coil; currently it's 29ga, 6 wraps on a 3/32 drillbit (which I gather is roughly analogous to 2mm diameter); it measures either 1.3 or 1.4 ohms, depending on which device I measure it on. I'm running it on a Sigelei Zmax at 9.5 or 10 watts -- considering I use 83% or 84% PG *always*, I'm getting AMAZING vapor -- so much that sometimes it kinda chokes me up, but it's certainly not harsh. At first I was using organic cotton to wick, but I tried out rayon again for this, and it works GREAT -- this juice is such a gunker, but with rayon, if I just drip a few drops right into the coil/wick, it flushes all the brown stuff completely away from the coil. Since a Magma holds so much less than a Kayfun or any tank, it's ok if the brown stuff flushes down into the well, because I'll be vaping it up within a half hour, and can rinse, dry burn, and re-wick, before the brown stuff builds up enough to cause a bad smell (as was happening in my Kayfun).

I got your PM Monica, but I have been thinking about it ever since I got it, what I might be able to trade... but honestly I don't have anything much to trade, unless you're interested in an RSBT? I've never liked it since I got it, but I know some do like it a lot. Or, I have a Caterpillar RDA, but that was a lot cheaper than either the RSBT or the Magma, so not really a good trade. The problem with both of them, however, is the "spare parts" kits... they're probably around here somewhere, but honestly I have no idea how to sort them from the Kayfun spare parts kits.

I had be playing around with making my own juices for the last year and while I mixed a few that were ok, I did not have much luck at it.
About two weeks ago I started to get interested in this again and have read most of this thread since. I ordered 27 more flavors to go with the 15 that I had.

So thanks to all the posters on here I think I am now on track to be making all my juices in the future.

I mixed three of Bill's Magic Vapor's recipes Friday night and I am enjoying them very much. I mixed "Jo's Peach Cobbler", "Dutch Apple Pie ala mode" and "Cinnamon Danish". Thank you so much for sharing these recipes.

I had always felt that the "high end" juices used a lot of flavor and I now know that is true. These three mixes were great as soon as I gave them a good shaking.

I use a tensioned micro coil on my magma, made with the 2nd smallest rod of the coiling gizmo. It's about the same size as an 18guage blunt tip. 28guage kanthal measuring in at 1.1ohms. Works great. If you're getting really harsh hits, it could just be that you have a hot leg

I use the Black Currant. It does have a slight tartness to it, but it is more sweet to me. You won't need as much sweetner in your mix using this flavor. Has a nice sweetness on it's own.I made a recipe the other day when trying Bill's 100DT for the first time using some black currant and it came out pretty good.

Black Currant 7%
Lemon 2%
Pomegranate 9%
Cotton Candy 2%
All TFA flavors.

It was good but I wanted more tartness so made a 10ml batch of exact recipe but added 1 drop of LA tart and sour. Haven't tried it yet
