The Cranberry is not sweet at all. I mix it with a little pear and it's okay. The Black currant has a strong taste. Not sure how to describe it. It’s not really a fruit taste. Maybe more of a sweet candy. Neither of the two mentioned are my favourites. I quite like the Red Licorice,Cola, and Blueberry.

I am thinking about trying Red Licorice--the thing is, I love twizzlers candy--but I loathe red vines. Is the TFA red lic like Twizzlers? Here's hoping! I imagine a twizzlers flavor could be an adv for me.

Filled up a tank of cliffy' s Melona-what can I say? Rich, creamy honeydew vanilla....well balanced recipe, has chameleon effect least for me it does, sometimes honeydew up front on inhale, some times the vanilla bean gelato, other times it's 50/50, a very thick mouth feel...I like it, it's unique, it's tropical without pineapple or coconut. I could see adding a note of banana to it, or I might even try jackfruit, maybe even Koolada in summer...I don't like the true fruit, but boy am I on honeydew vapes like white on rice, this one is probably the nicest hd vapes I've had just due to it's smoothness and balance...yum! Thanks again for sharing! Wanted to let ya' know I like it:)

I'm so glad you like it. :) thanks for the feedback!

Hello all, My name is John and I have been lurking for some time :) I have been cigarette free for 1.6 years and starting DIY about 1 year ago. I sent Bill a private message here a week or so ago telling him thank you for the stuff he post . I was making ok juices , but now they are awesome :) I am one of those go big or go home kinda guys and I have 116 TFA only flavors. I have made a few Of Bill's and they are really good..some adjusted to taste for myself. I have friends that I make them for and they love them.. I wanted to say thank you to you guys ... all of you.. what a great group of people on this thread :) I am going to post a couple of my recipes if anyone wants to try.. remember they are subject to taste.. This is my equipment that I use so you have an idea at what I am running :)

Eleafe I stick with a Lemo tank wrapped at 1.2 ohms / usually vape at 14.5 watts
Vapr Shark DNA 30 with a Lemo tank wrapped at 0.8 ohms/ usually vape at 17.0 watts
Sigelei 30 watt mini with a Kanger sub ohm tank 0.5 ohms / usually vape at 25 watts

I use 100% mg Nic 50/50 vg/pg ( nect time will be 100% PG )

I mix most at 6% mg at 60 VG/ 40 PG but I think I am going to start 70/30 soon

ok first recipe ... this is a RY4 mix, I seem to like the richer darker and a small hint of Tab flavors .. I like the fruits but they get boring to me..

RY4 10%
Vanilla bean gele (new stuff) 4%
Orange cream 3%
Banana Nut Bread 3%
Marshmellow 3%
Almond 2%
Sweetner 3%

This is a creamy slight nut tab with a hint of orange.. please remember taste is different for some so play around with it :) I have also mixed different fruits and it is very good.. this is one that is very good after mixing ..but awesome after about 3-4 days

This is my Honey Tobacco.. not heavy on the tobacco or honey but a sweet creamy vape ..
RY4 8%
Almond 7%
Honey Tobacco 3%
Marshmellow 2%
Vanilla Bean gele 3%

I know its similar to the first but taste way different..

here is one I make for a friend .. this is simple .. and I am going to play around with it later .. see what I can come up with.. but this good and easy right out of the mix

Champagne 10%
Strawberry ripe 6%
Juicy Peach 4 %

easy peasy :)

I am still reading thru this long topic ..LOL.. but wanted to say thank you to Bill and everyone else .. I am going to mix this weekend ... I do have a heating question.. with without searching .. did anybody ever come up with a good plain dark Vanilla on its own ? I I also seen mention of Strawberry Short cake? Thank you guys !!!

here is my supply .. LOL

There are many participants on this thread, and a lot of great stuff. Many remember all kinds of recipes that are super good and helpful to new and learning mixologists! :D

Wow,that's a nice stash of flavors ya got going haha, mine is growing pretty rapidly but still nowhere near that. These all sound like really good recipes, although i dont have honey tobacco so i will have to wait on that one,the others i do have all the flavors, and next time i mix,i will give those a try.I would have never thought to add orange to an ry4 mix,but it sounds really interesting.

On the vanilla question, have you tried vanilla bean gelato on it's own?I think it has a pretty deep vanilla flavor,or have you tried tfa vanillan,i have that one,but haven't used it yet. Also, you may wantto try making a vanilla extract,i have vanilla beans on the way to make an extract, but they need to soak for around 8 weeks before i have a finished flavor,so it will be a while on that one haha.

When I use other fruits like Strawberry ripe I up the percentage .. The orange cream , meandering Orange is very strong .. When I first started making this about a year ago it was more tobacco and Orange .. But over time with tweaking it all blends nicely .. Hints of flavor instead over over powering one flavor :) those 2 are my ADV .. I always go back .. I also made a honey Kentucky bourbon.. I have to do some adjustments with that .. Honey is a little over powering .. Might even use the Honey tobacco with it instead .. Just like everyone else .. It's the time .. Lol .. Work and home .. Mix when Ya can :)

I have mixed the V bean gel by itself at 10 % but I want a little
More complex flavor .. Maybe a little whipped cream , French and that .. I have all the Flavors .. Bean , custard and so on ..

RY4 Double - 11%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Acetyl Pyrazine - 4% (Can substitute any nut flavoring, i.e., pecan, hazelnut, almond, etc.
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Cotton Candy - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Butter - 2%

I've made this one with 3% pecan instead of the AP and it's quite good.

I was going to also add.. that i have purchased a bunch of the new DX flavors and I personally CANT tell a difference in flavor.. also some flavors really change with the OHM load and heat :) it gets interesting sometimes.. taste this at 14 watts and taste that at 25 watts ..

Trophyfish thanks for letting us know. I ended up ordering the DX versions of a few flavors in my last order, which will hopefully be here Monday (the weather is playing hell with us this week). I ordered these DX versions somewhat "blindly" so to speak since I've seen almost no info anywhere about how the DX version vs. the non-DX tastes, and most of the recipes I've been really looking hard at don't use the DX versions. However since I have never tasted the "regular" versions of any of these flavorings anyway, being new to DIY, I have a clean slate as far as comparison goes.

Hopefully there will actually be some benefit to going with the DX flavors over the regular ones... I am not sure at this point.

Here's an easy one:

white chocolate 6%
Graham cracker dark 6%
Bavarian cream 6%
marshmallow 6%

I was getting frustrated trying to make the perfect S'more so I just made one "backwards", i.e. white for milk chocolate, dark for clear GC, regular for toasted MM (wow is toasted marshmallow nasty!) and Bavarian cream because..........well, because Bavarian cream. Now I just need a snappy name for it like Dark Mystery or something.

Has anyone been playing with TPA's Sassafras Flavoring in e-liquid. I find that a couple of drops added to a hot cup of tea is quite good and brings back memories of my childhood. Maybe a 5 to 10% mix with a base would be something to try. Just wondering if somebody has tried to come up with something.

:unsure:RockHunter
Also in root beer float where it excels. Recipes posted fairly recently on this too! Good luck! :toast: :D

I should have mentioned in my previous blab that I usually do just run 1 coil. I still have one of them set up with a dual coil because the coils are still good (not to the point yet that I can't "clean" them by burning off the crud), but it's more work. Andria is right -- 1.4 or so on a single seems to run quite well.

Nic: what do you (or anyone) make of a 28g, 12 wrap coil on a 5/64ths rod that is reading at 2.1 ohms on my Magma/iStick setup? According to the calculators I've used, it should be more in the range of 1.5. I can't think what accounts for the difference. This is my first coil ever built, and it's been a long time coming, so I'm pleased, regardless, but it takes a long time to heat up even at 15w and although the flavor is there, it is giving a super heavy throat hit while also not producing much vapor. The vapor is cool, which is fine with me, but I don't understand where the throat hit comes from, considering it's neither very hot, nor giving much in the way of clouds. Any ideas?

I am not quite caught up with this thread, but noticed a few pages back people were making flavor purchases and wanted to share a great blog by RocketPuppy that has tons of useful links to suppliers and other information like a pretty comprehensive list of flavor abbreviations.
