I am trying to get around a 80% vg ratio but most mixes are at 25-30%+ of flavor. should I just take away flavor respectively until I can hit a higher vg mix?

Thanks for the replies guys re: calculator
Have just tried again with same result file removed. Message from Norton (WS.Reputation.1) with further reading seems as if the program has not had a lot of hits, there is No mention or suggestion of it being bad or anything just Norton playing safe I guess.

I can't speak for Norton but I am guessing that the only reason that Norton would have flagged it is because of a low volume of installs. I can assure you that there is no virus, malware, spyware or anything else embedded in the application.

Thanks for the application HotRod, the popup message said something along those lines. I will do as suggested by Kas and look into the quarantine files and restore.
Just needed a way around the security issue with Norton, in no way was I questioning the integrity of the application.

Bill as normal your rightOne thing I haven't mentioned yet is the calculator I use http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/480587-new-calculator-try.html It has a really neat feature; when you review your ingredients it will show you how many recipes that ingredient is used in as well as the average amount used. Now when I get a new flavor I check for it's single use percentage then check my main recipe file which contains about 200 or so recipes from ECF and other sites to get my starting points. I then move the flavor over to my working recipe file and using those points I now can tweak it to my needs.
Anyone who hasn't tried that calculator needs to as it will do more than any other I've tried.![]()
Another great point, and well worth adopting....Thanks for posting this calculator again. I had seen it before but never gave it a chance until now, I had just been using the juicemeup calc.
I really love that it tracks your inventory, I just wished I had started using it earlier as my flavor collection was growing. Now I have to get caught up. It was also really cool to see that the juice I was buying for $12/15ml is only costing me 50 cents to make. I think all the flavors and equipment I bought over the past month may have already paid for themselves.
I think see how it work for a few weeks and end up donating to the developer. I love selfless developers that create free programs like that, continue to support and develop it while only asking for donations. Besides, I have to do something with all the money I'm saving on juices!![]()
I worked on my fruit and cream experiment some more this evening. The total amount of flavoring in that last recipe I posted was so godawful, I went over it very carefully, brought the main fruit flavors down just slightly, and eliminated the coconut and the ethyl maltol; neither really seemed to bring that much to the recipe, other than increasing the flavor percentage and therefore probably also the gunk-factor.
Here's the revised recipe:
TFA Blueberry Extra 6.50%
TFA Juicy Peach 5%
INW Shisha Strawberry 5%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 5%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 4%
TFA Sweetener 5%
Which brings the total flavoring down to a far more reasonable 30.5%. I guess it's essentially Cream Fantastico plus peach, minus cotton candy or ethyl maltol. Again, the 5% sweetener is just 'cuz I love sweet; most would probably be happier with it around 2%-3%. And I still think banana would be a great addition to this, but I don't currently have any. Maybe banana cream, to add more to the creaminess factor.
BTW, it's terrific -- I was afraid that cutting down the main fruit flavors would make it weaker, but it's not, not at all, and I think leaving out the coconut also improves the TH. Of course I just mixed it a couple hrs ago, gave it a ferocious shaking and let it sit for a couple hrs; it should be even better tomorrow.
Andria
Blue Raspberry is a royal pain. Up to 12% it just doesn't taste right to me, and at 13% its like vaping grandmas perfume. I still have to try it with some sweeteners, and maybe a little strawberry, but I just kinda gave up on the flavor after I found a couple of Bills recipes that are now my ADVs.hey guys anybody tried any of these by them selves?:
Rootbeer (not root beer float just normal one)
Blue Rasberry
Citrus punch
they are all tfa i dont plan on mixing any of them do you think they will be any good
Great job Andria! A wonderful contribution. Thank you for sharing your hard work with us!
You already know this, but since you keep referring to Cream Fantastico, I'll share this with those that don't know. Cream Fantastico is a juice/flavoring that was always intended to be used as its own base flavoring, and not necessarily its own juice....alone. While it is good as a creamy flavored juice, I developed it to quickly add to fruits, pretty much any fruits, to make a finished flavoring, at around a 1/3 fruit and 2/3 CF blend. And this is pretty much how you have done it, with your own special modifications, all of which make it YOUR juice. An excellent example of how you can take a flavoring, tweak it to suit your preferences, and make it your own. I believe the credit goes to you, for recognizing all of these subtleties and mixing it to your own tastes, and thank you for sharing "your experiment" with all of us!![]()
