The problem is that his liquid that he bought was discontinued and doesn't show an interest in DIY. He found one that he likes but the menthol is too strong. I've been working on a recipe since I used to use the same liquid as him but over time I'm finding that I like other flavors too. I came up with what I'm going to call a backyard recipe since I just counted drops and don't really know the percentages. I do know the resulting nic strength though. We both used to use silver leaf menthol. It was a menthol tobacco that Puresmoker made before being sued out of business.
Generally speaking, I never used menthol tobacco, and so have never really worked on many menthol flavors. The ones I did develop were quite similar to other mixes with the addition of 1 - 2% menthol. I did have one friend in Hawaii that wanted a pure 6% menthol blend. Never seemed good to me, but different strokes and all. There are many menthol recipes on the internet, though. Good luck! They are out there!
