Goal for the day: 5 miles on the elliptical, planks and those lunge things

Didn't gain any weight, didn't lose any weight yesterday. That's a good thing. Since I don't really have a lot to lose, slower is probably better and more realistic for me. My body is seriously trying to hang onto what it has. LOL

What's your goal for the day? ;)

Edit: 5 miles done.
1/2 mile 1 resistance (default is 1)
1 1/2 mile with resistance at 2
1 mile resistance at 3
1 mile resistance back to 1

total time: 46.59 so 47 minutes

I had Rick look to see what it looked like, fast walk, jog.. He said it looked like I was jogging. I kept the RPM at about 50 RPM and when I finished it was 51 AVG.

No idea what the calorie burn was. I just focus on how many miles I have done. LOL
Stride is set at the factory setting of 21 1/2. (whatever that means)

A couple of Planks done and 5 each side for the lunge. Either today or tomorrow I will introduce a light weight into the mix.

Edit #2: did another 2 miles.
1/2 mile resistance 1
1 mile resistance 2
1/2 mile resistance 6
Finished at 51 avg RPM.
Had to work off the two pieces of pizza I had. We finally ordered pizza for Rick since he didn't get it yesterday.

4 mile run instead of 3 mile run, 1 mile walk... Because office Christmas party is today at Charlestons, followed by a massage.

Edit: Tracking my time today, haven't done that in a while. Will update post after.

Edit 2: time 38:35, distance: 4 miles, 9:38 avg min/mile, calories 423

You have to be doing more miles than it says. You are running right? Mine is like a jog and I get about that same number.

Same for me on the mustard. I want to like it but it's just gross!

That was actual running outside Robin. On the elliptical I barely hit 4 miles in 45 minutes.

Just found this page, WOW! Good idea Robin. Maybe just the motivation I need to start working out.

Weighing in at 210 lbs, 5ft. 8 and a 38 pants size. I'd like to get down to 175 - 180 lbs. Maybe I can get that six pack back.

Goal today... Light workout. Lunges w/ weights and Planks
If I get bored, I will hop on the elliptical.

My legs and knees are really sore today. They need some time off, I think. I'm just thankful that my hips are not hurting. :nun:
Weight: Same as the last two days

eta: lunges with weights and a couple of planks done. Might still hop on the elliptical tonight. I'm getting bored and antsy

About 6 years ago, I weighed 210 pounds. I'm 5'10". I decided I was tired of being fat. So I started working out and changing my eating habits.

Over a period of about 18 months or so, I lost approx 50 pounds. One time, I actually tipped the scales at 159. But I found that I had to work out like a complete mad man and eat like a bird to do that.

Somewhere around 165 - 170 is a good weight for me. I maintained about 167 for a long time.

In the past year, I've gotten really busy at work and in my personal life. Lots of traveling for work and long hours in the office. Plus I bought some land that I'm working on clearing, and that ate up most of my free time. Those weekends I was doing "two-a-days" in the gym are now spent on a tractor or backhoe at my property.

And, worst of all, I got lazy and cocky with my eating habits. And it's really hard to eat right when I'm traveling.

So, I'm up to about 175 now, and I'm determined to get back to 165 - 170. I'm getting back to regular exercise and being more careful with my eating. I'm determined that I will never be fat again. Ever!
