Ate very badly yesterday--Christmas goodies at the office, drive-thru lunch, mexican joint last night.

Made it through my run today but it wasn't pleasant. It never is after a bad food day. I have done pretty well today. Tomorrow is a Christmas party tho. It's just killer this time of year- too many temptations!

Tell me about it :glare:
Made a Thanksgiving dinner today/tonight(you already know). Ugh. I can just feel the bloat. I will get on the elliptical in about an hour and do at least a mile. Just to give my waistline a fighting chance.

OOOOHHHHHHH !!! I was demonstrating what a plank was tonight and I held a FULL plank, not modified, a whopping 20 seconds!! WOOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!!! The core is getting stronger! :D

Adding: 3 miles and I am done for the night

I think I should get a freaking star here. :D I have been such a good girl the last few days since my 20 chocolate covered toffee fiasco. I ate CLEAN for 2 days straight even after going to 2 Christmas dinners and a lunch. Well, I had some home made wine but we all know the ingredients to that so I'm calling it clean too  Yesterday, I did a 4 mile run/walk and today I did a 6 mile/run walk outside in the rain in addition to walking an average of 12,000 steps a day for work each day. I saw my ticker saying that I've saved almost 700 FREAKING DOLLARS and I'm not even a month in to this quit yet so I decided to spoil myself. I bought a kick-... blender for making smoothies and I also splurged and bought a home gym :2cool: It took me a whole bottle of red wine to set the damn thing up but I did it and today, I used it for the first time for 45 minutes before dinner which was a big spinach salad with pears, blueberries, apples, chick peas and some jerk boneless chicken breast. Note to self: If you get a home gym, you have no one to watch and make the time go by faster like you do at a gym so in hindsight, I would have just set it up in my living room off to the side but no, I had to put it in a spare room. After dying of boredom, I went out and bought a flat-screen TV and stand to set up in front of it so I have something to do while working out. There goes all my money saved from not smoking this month

Goal for the day: 6 miles etc...

Throwing out the leftover stuffing. That stuff is killer on the diet

ok, maybe one last dish then it goes! For real!

Stuffing is the best thing ever, isn't it? I discovered an old bread machine in my cupboard and I love the fact that you know what is in the bread instead of all the preservatives. You sure need to have a 'cardio' workout to get rid of it though. :)

Goal for the day: getting over this hangover. That is all...

Ohhhh I feel your pain :(
Water, tylenol (any pain reliever)
Food

I know I never felt good until later in the day. Bet it was worth it :D

My Goal for the day accomplished. I'm doing a combination of modified planks and regular ones.

dane.jpgThis week my little man turns 9 and I just broke a month of not smoking and I thought I'd say that this little dude is the reason I live and breathe and ultimately, why I decided to quit smoking.

My little man is very 'animal' aware from growing up around horses and he's been riding as long as he's been walking. This translates into a young man with a love all animals with hearts beating and he knows that 'everything' has a personality if we choose to seek it out.

Sadly, I've lost this little man to an evil beast called a 'PS4' and he now wanders out of his room for food or the 3-4 hours each day that I make him work tending to horses and getting some exercise before and after school. I am so just kidding but it sounded awesome EVEN for a Canadian eh?

Little man jumps into my room each morning and tells me how many days i've NOT smoked for now and he hugs me and tells me I smell way better.

Happy Birthday Buddy...thanks for being my 'not smoking' cheering squad.
