After two toast & peanut butter w/ coffee breakfast around 6am, went ahead and added a can of Campbell soup's Grilled Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Tastes great, just a touch of 'spicy'. The whole can comes out to 6 gram of fat, 12 gram of protein, 280 calories of belly full. The potassium is a little much, but the way I've always eaten bananas (pretty much every day) I don't think it will be a major problem.

What's the Sodium level of the can, Papaw? I find the canned soups are really high in salt.

I agree, it is fast Brett. But men lose so much quicker and you are dieting pretty hard. It's those last 10 that get hard.

Tell me about it  That's what I have been working so hard to get rid off. 10 lousy stinkin' stubborn obnoxious pounds!

When Mamaw and I met (in '85) I weighed 151 pounds and comfortably wore 31" waist jeans. No Way I am even going to attempt to recreate that.
Target Weight - 160 pounds, by June 14th. I will live with those last ten pounds. Besides, I ain't gonna pass for 'Young' anymore no matter what I weigh.

Off the Can Label (allowing for Entire Can) - Calories 280 , Fat 6g (10%), Sat. Fat 2g (10%), Trans Fat 0, Cholesterol 30mg (10%), Sodium 810mg (34%), Potassium 1420 mg (42%), Total Carbs 44 (14%), Dietary Fibers 6g (24%), Sugars 4g, Protein 12g (24%).
Earlier this week my BP tested 130 /80. For someone 55 years old and 40- 50 pounds overweight that ain't bad. In my twenties it was usually 105/ 60, and at one point it got down to 90 /55. I was told then if it went any lower I would have to take medication to bring it up.
Sodium / salt have never been a concern for me. Now Cholesterol is, and Blood Sugars have to be checked because of Family History.

Just an update.. since I'm not a full time member of this thread. :)

17.5lbs down when I went to see my Doctor about my cold, compared to when I saw him last in October.

Small lifestyle changes, and the weight is slowly but surely coming off.

Next investment, a digital scale for home. I've got a 20yr old analog one that I think just guesses weights when somebody want to check something. :D

Carry on folks! ;)

I have an analog scale and it never gives me the same reading twice even if it is only seconds apart. :) Not sure those digitals are any better. I think if you want a good scale you have to fork over the bucks. Analog, digital, or whatever.

I have this one:http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-Capacity-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808

I try to get it to cheat....it won't let me. Same weight even if I take off the super lightweight t-shirt off. Bums me out sometimes LOL. I can step on the scale 20 times in a row and the same weight each time.

Great job Dusty! I use this scale and have had it for a few years. Pleased with it.

Good prices on both.

Robin's has better reviews. With mine you have to lift it up slightly to turn it on. Supposed to be a toe tap but the lift is more consistent. That's why the reviews aren't great.

Rick has to investigate everything before he buys. Drives me nuts sometimes but does come in handy for somethings :D
