Looking good Dale, nice and green

I sure don't miss mine :laugh:I even hooked up a washer and dryer in the basement after she moved out :D

I know where there's a bunch not far from here, they live on the dead rainbow trout from the hatchery the workers throw in a field every day.You wouldn't believe how big they are up close :)

I have a window over my sink and can watch the birds and bees and also tourists Fri-Sun all summer long :D
:lol::lol::lol:...*after* she left. :laugh:

Tourists??

Most of my Iris are done already. There's a few up front still blooming :)

Good idea Shad on getting your DD to help ;)
Wow, yeah...you're ahead of us for sure! But you're a lot farther S. :)

So are mine and some of my red and white tulips and my orange flowers, cant remember what their called :DOh and my cherry and peach trees are blooming

I liked it till it started costing over 30 bucks to get it done :nah:
Our neighbors on the corner have tulips, crocus, hyacinth, well...all sorts of stuff. There's something blooming all year round in their yard, but...they're retired and in the yard puttering all the time.
They have a Koi pond too!! It absolutely amazes me that they survive the winters and the frozen water here.

No, the problem child was end of last week and had to finish on them on Monday...although these two do fall in the more difficult to deal with spectrum.

Speaking of the problem child though...I got permission last week from the boss to write an email to them laying down the rules and what we would no longer accept from them. I was able to tell them that they have to make sure their payroll is correct before sending it in and that whatever I receive from them I will assume to be correct and will process as is...see, they kept sending me crap that they hadn't gone through where the employees clearly hadn't clocked out and were getting like a 100 hours of overtime, not to mention them constantly changing their hourly wage without telling me, missing tips, etc...I knew this wasn't correct and it required me to go back and forth with the client on each employee...this turned what should have been a 30 minute job into sometimes a 4 hour job trying to get everything correct. :glare:

I got fed up and the boss knew I was tired of it and so she let me do whatever necessary. And I tell you, it never felt so good to send an email as it did that one! ;) When they saw that she backed me on the email, the time they submitted this time was miraculously correct! Guess they didn't want to end up paying thousands more! :p:lol:
Oh wow. Don't blame you one bit. Not your job to audit their timesheets/pay/etc.

Yes.

Here's a little story for you. ;) Shortly after I got married and moved into Dh house, he went away on business.

Couple details: we didn't have central air, only a window unit in the bedroom.

We had a woodburning fireplace that we used to burn papers (junk mail, cc offers) year round.

It was a split ranch.

Ya see where I'm going with this. Lolol

Dh didn't close the flue? So I woke up one morning all alone in a new house and heard all this noise. Bedroom door was closed because the ac was on. I thought it was a burglar. I was freaked out. Cracked the bedroom door and heard the noise was coming from the spare bedroom.

A bird had gotten into the house down the chimney. It was freaking out in the spare room because it couldn't get out. I opened the front door and slider and didn't know how to get it from upstairs to downstairs. Plus I had to drive 45 min to work at the time.

Dh had previously been changing the screens in the windows. So I armed myself with a screen and went in. It was diving at me and I was screaming. It finally flew downstairs and out of the house. I ended up being late to work and it was just terrifying.
Bless your heart!

Awww, he was just scared

They have been finding rabid bats in Hot Springs lately :(
That's not good. :(

That's one of the reasons I have a dusk to dawn light out away from the house, they stay busy eating bugs when their around.Lots of caves around here :)
Dad had a dusk to dawn light when I grew up, we always had bats too.
Here we see them sometimes swoop into our back yard and skim the pool for a drink.
They're so fast, you have to be quick cuz it's still just a blip, and you see the water ring from them touching it.
We have dusk to dawn lights on our block, so I'm sure they're out eating bugs here too.
We still have too many mosquitoes though.
The mosquitoes will eat you up at the lake, I don't miss that. Forget going outside once it starts getting dark...and they'll even be out during the daytime sometimes.

Bwahahaha. Make believe until they come after you ;)

I stay a good distance away just to be safe.
You definitely want to stay away from Swans. :)
There is a cemetery that has them...they have babies, that are soooooo cute. They take the babies to the edge of the busy highway to eat bugs.
I called one time because I was worried. They told me that the momma always does that, every year, sometimes they end up on the highway, stopping traffic, and that sometimes they have gotten hit.
She said, NEVER stop, that swans are MEAN, especially with babies, and they're big enough to hurt you.
She said they're very strong too.

I know, mom of the year, right here. ;) I felt so bad afterwards. But that flight or fight kicked in and I was gone. (Just across the kitchen) I'm hoping if it had gone towards him I would have run back over. It was a fisher price strap to the chair deals, so I couldnt even grab the high chair and go.
