    Good morning Lori :)
 I cannot get my coffee grinder apart! (manual)
It's stainless, smooth edge to smooth edge between the sections.
In the video, it comes apart as smooth as butter.
I have it in the freezer.

Does it move at all if you twist it back and forth ??

Not really. You can see that it's moved about three hairs width because the stainless is shinier.
I put it back in the freezer.
DH even tried, it's flipping stuck.
I'll see if leaving it in the freezer works.

Does the top part come off ??
I used my jar opener like this one...
    Kuhn Rikon Jar Opener
It has metal burrs that grab the object, so I used one of my rubber kitchen dishwashing gloves to protect the bottom part of the grinder.
It still marked it just a tiny bit, but nothing that's horrible. :)
Oh happy day...now if only my beans were here!

Quite a kitchen tool you have there,I have one of those rubber pad things :)
DH's mom has one of them, and I asked for one for Christmas a couple years ago.
They could price that double what they do and it will would be worth it's weight in gold.
It's saved me many times when DH wasn't home.
    It's never failed me yet.
You can have the most stubborn jar lid, and they're seriously no match for that thing. It's da bomb!!

If it's a jar I'm throwing away I just pop a hole in the lid with an old butcher knife,or if not throwing away you can put scotch tape over the hole :)
