I think both of those two brands are manufactured in France. I believe they get decent wages, and I'm sure it's a lot for freight to get it here...it's just WAY out of my budget.

You need a meat trivet or small rack for inside so your meat doesn't sit in the grease when it's cooking

Of my mom's set, I have some of the smaller pans, my sister has the bigger sizes, or I wouldn't have gotten that red pot.
I didn't think about it, or I could have gotten a big one on eBay.

I think it's still sold by sales reps like the Kirby vacuums.
My mom replaced her handles here and there, but that was because she washed stuff in the dishwasher.
But, it's really nice cookware.
What's on eBay is going to be from estates I would imagine. I wouldn't be one bit afraid to get it on eBay either.
They honor the warranty no matter.
