Good morning, Lurkers! And good morning, Fran, Dale, Lori and Retired.
Tackling the pool after all the rain. Filled it to the brim. I had to discharge about 6" of water. Went to the pool supply and had my water tested and picked up the needed chemicals on my way to work. That much rain really raises cain with pools.
Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good morning Bobbi
You're going to love it! At least at first

Thanks, Dale! I hope it's smooth. It feels like this should be Friday already, but I guess it's just wishful thinking.

    Made it home.
Was trying to beat the rain that may (or may not) start around noon.
Just grey right now with breaks of gorgeous sun, but I think the later in the day it gets, the better our chances of rain/t-storms.

Hope you get the water straightened around Paul.
It takes a bit, and a hard, dirty rain can yuck it up for sure.
Our's was BROWN Saturday when we opened it. It has a ways to go, but it's getting there. :)

Oh Bobbi, hope you have a WONDERFUL day!! I have faith in you, will be like riding a bicycle.

Dale, there looks to be some activity at the MHM thread. :) I haven't been over there yet, but thought I'd mention it.

Okay, need to get something for lunch going, and see what else I need to do after I finish putting away the groceries. I put the cold stuff up first thing, so just a little more to go...was just an odds and ends trip anyway. ;)

    BBL. :)

The pool is pristine now, but with all the rainwater, I figured I'd have it checked. The stabilizer and chlorine were low, understandably, but the pH and alkalinity were also low. That, I didn't expect. Chemicals added at lunchtime, pump running, should be good to go.

Oh, that's great!! Is it warm enough to get in yet?? I figure you're a good month ahead of us temperature wise, and your night temps prob don't get too low, but thought I'd ask anyway. :)

We were in it all 3 days of the weekend. The water is a little cool for me, about 76. I didn't check it today. A bit brisk getting in, but feels good once we take the plunge.

Oh, I don't even try to get in unless it's 80. DH likes it cooler.
But yeah, once you get in, and past that *shock* it's fine.

80 is my magic number, too, but the water just looked so good and inviting, so I bit the bullet and got in.

That's when I just dangle my legs.
80-84ish is good for me. DH thinks that anything more than that it just bath water.
Sometimes it can get too hot, I'm sure you have that too.
I want to get an aerator fountain going. Had one years ago. Just simple plumbing attached to a jet. Then we reduced the plumbing until we could put a cheap shower head on it, then placed it so it was just almost flush with the water level of the pool. It was pretty and looked great, you just can't have kids playing or jumping around, had to take it out if kids were around. Not something you'd want to get knocked.
I think they sell "fountains" that are similar that float around too. I think I saw one at a pool place.

It looked like this...we had it in an above ground, and like I said, it was positioned just so the shower head, where the water came out, was just above the water level, not on the side like this picture.
It would really cool the water temp down if it got too hot.
