We have clayish soil at the lake, I've not done anything to them in over 20 years, I really need to work in the flower bed, so they've definitely seen better days...but I think they're fairly sturdy...but check and see what it says for sure...I'll check too later.

Does she do that when the water starts running or does she just know "it's time"?
Both, she can't hear as well as she used to, so she doesn't always hear the tub, she watches me mostly. They know our routines for sure.
But often times she'll go in there and sit in the dark.
Normally I see her and I'll move her pillow in there and turn the light on...but, yeah...sometimes she's just sitting in there in the dark.
25 min my .... it's been almost an hour and no bubbles yet,but it's not burning so it must be the pan slowing things down

Never did anything to mine for 41 years. They just keep coming back up and blooming every year.
(mine are up but will be a while before there's any blooms this year).
My blooms are still really tight, it's going to be a little while here too.
