When I need to get going early that is when I get less coffee. Natural adrenaline instead?
Could be, or it just falls under the "do what you've got to do" category.

So Steve, you're living at ground zero with the horrible gang killings. Hope they can get that under control, just terrible!!

I don't know, maybe the murders are no where near you.

That is just one of the things going on that are part of life in New York. I thought maybe you were talking about the plane crash in Jersey. Just the other day a Mom was killed by an out of control car but she pushed her daughter out of the way.

Then, I guess there's all sorts of stuff that we never hear about too.
Yeah, the plane crash, I saw that, and the mother who was killed saving her daughter. All just so sad.

Good morning Joey, Dale, OBG, Angel and Lori, Steve and Kad

@balwin hope you are feeling better.

Wow @SteveS45 that is awful about the mother/daughter.
Good morning Sara.
So glad to hear you have great weather today!!

Yes so much sadness it sort of makes you numb to things unless it is really bad.

I've noticed that myself. :(

Hope you are having a good day :) the good weather didn't last long. It's currently raining. Bwahahahaha. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. :D
Sorry. :( It's gorgeous here, but hot already.
I'm having a wonderful day. Laundry: bedding and about 4 misc. small loads.
Hope you are too. :)

I think that is what is wrong with the population now. With all the reality shows, things do not shock us anymore. We have become complacent and actually seem to encourage bad behavior.

We don't get outraged, people don't seem to be held accountable for their actions any longer.

Just sad....

It is.
I don't watch reality shows, but I've noticed that things should be absolutely shocking, don't rock the news like it used to.
For example, I didn't see this on the news, I googled to see what the count was for 2017.
I have no good answers to solve this issue, but this it what I'm kind of referring to when I say you kind of get immune to the headlines. :(

21 shot over Mother's Day weekend, but sharp drop from last year

I know what you mean. Even reading that didn't shock me like it would have in the past. I just feel sadness for what is going on with the world.

Exactly.
Had that been small town, middle America, and any other circumstances, it would have run on the news full tilt.
I guess it bothers me more because I live in IL. Far from Chicago, downstate...but, still sad and there doesn't seem to be an end in site.

I feel the same sadness that you do.

Not so much shock value @Robino1 being a lifelong New Yorker Gang Violence has been around since I was old enough to walk to school. Just because the @LoriP1702 is shocked by what is happening and our President vowing to do something about it like I said the stuff lately is pretty mild. Sucks but part of life.
