    If a person runs newer cars with less than a 1/4 of a tank they take a big chance of burning up a fuel pump because their in the tank and need to stay submerged to stay cool,a 1/2 tank or moue is better :2c:

    I couldn't resist. I'm the left for sure , while DH is the right :D
    My DH has a broader comfort zone than I do. But I don't press it too much.

    I remember what it is now i did not like it much lol
    Lol's. :laugh: Sorry.
    i try not to let the tank get lower than a 1/4 tank :oops:

    Yep, us too. :D
    Oh my gosh, I don't think I've ever been with anyone who ran out of gas.
    I did one time on my mini bike and had to turn it to reserve...but I was at home, so worst case, I'd have had to push it back to the garage.

    We had a heck of a storm this AM high wind that took out power in places and hail in places :evil:
    The gal I work with from Cedar Hill lost power. It still wasn't back on when she left for work.
    We had a recorded call from our village at just before 5:15 a.m. regarding the storm. We were on the very edge of the alert zone, we didn't get much.
    A little wind, but nothing bad, and some rain.

    I knew there was a reason I liked to have half a tank or better :laugh:

    Actually that's interesting :?: Didn't know that... don't think my 2000 would qualify as a newer car though.

    Lol's. :lol::lol: Poor Dale.

    My lights were blinking and we had hail some as big as golf balls but power never went out all the way :D
    She didn't mention hail, but she always goes out and in through her garage. Her garage is full, so she has to park outside, she wasn't too happy...course, she's never mad enough that she cleans out the garage so she can get a car in. :oops:

    Don't forget, I sat outside watching kiddo play soccer for close to two hours, when the sun went behind the clouds (and it did for pretty much the entire time) it was freezing. I had to blast the heat in the car AND turn the heated seat on. ;)
