Glad you had a better ride home.Trip home was fine and since the sun was never out today, the car was cool and so it was actually blowing cool (not cold, but I'll take cool) air on the way home.

Quiet day today, just me and the boss...no meeting today because one of my coworkers doesn't work on Mondays and another called in sick today.
Hot out there, 86 but feels like 102...just heard thunder though, and looked at the radar and it shows just a tiny little cell over us, which means it's going to be hot and steamy! Yuck!

I just saw on Facebook August 21st there will be a full solar eclipse. Course NY won't be able to see the full thing. Only part of it.
Good afternoon! I'll go for cancelling Monday! Every year I keep thinking that I'm sick of all this heat and humidity and like to find a cooler state, but then winter finally gets here and I get to see everyone up north having to deal with the frigid temps and shovelling snow and figure, it's only half a year living in hell on earth. I can do it.

I think I'd be fine if I could mostly stay in the air conditioning during those hot months.
I could definitely take the heat in the summer to escape the cold, grey, never ending winter days we have here, and it's not even cold here like poor Fran gets.

I think you're right about that, Lori. I just wished I didn't have to go out at all sometimes, except maybe to get in the pool. On those ultra rare super cold days, down in the 20's, I thank the heater, and know that I probably wouldn't make it where it gets really cold for long periods of time. Been in the South most of my life and don't think this thinned blood would tolerate freezing.
