Good morning, Retired, OBG, Joey, Sara, Lori, Dale, Robin and sleeping Lurkers!

Project all done, covered up, and debris cleaned up! Yay!!:rickroll:

Today, a relaxing day running off to Houston and see the museum. It'll be good and hot today, so I'm sure the museums will have some good AC. Hope you all have a splendid day!!

So, I mentioned that we're going on a cruise (that DH won) later this year.
We've been on one, one other time, 11 years ago, it was a freebie too, well mostly.

Anyway, a week or so ago, I was Googling for some info and found a cruising forum, and I've been reading here and there, on different topics, and I have to say that it just is mind bending how many people take, and HAVE taken MULTIPLE cruises.
Seriously, it's like a subculture!
I had no idea that "crusing" was so popular, and let me tell ya, these folks are serious. They have lots of tips and advice.

I guess there are forums for just about anything and everything under the sun.
I can be small minded sometimes, but anyhoodles, just thought I'd share.

Example of one person's signature line...

RCL Enchantment of the Seas October 2004, Carnival Ecstasy July 2006, Carnival Liberty July 2007, RCL Navigator of the Seas March 2009, Carnival Triumph June 2010, RCL Voyager of the Seas March 2011, Oasis of the Seas August 2011, Carnival Magic May 2012, RCL Adventure of the Seas December 2012, Carnival Magic May 2013, RCL Navigator of the Seas December 2013, Disney Fantasy May 2014, RCL Navigator of the Seas November 2014, RCL Serenade of the Seas March 2015, RCL Freedom of the Seas August 2015, RCL Serenade of the Seas April 2016, RCL Allure of the Seas October 2016, RCL Allure of the Seas October 2016 (B2B), RCL Liberty of the Seas September 2017, RCL Freedom of the Seas April 2018, RCL Freedom of the Seas April 2018 (B2B), Carnival Freedom Oct 2018

...if that violates any ECF rules regarding other forums, I'll edit.
I just remembered that there's something regarding posting about other forums, if memory serves it prohibits links...but I'm off to revisit that now. :)

Good morning Joey :) Guessing you didn't sleep well. :nah:
I did but it was not enough lol

Good morning Sara, retired, Lori and Joey

Well I'm dressed, trying to finish the grocery list before I leave
We'll have Bela overnight :)
Glad you will have some time with Belated :)
I also forgot to mention to my DH that the FDA is going to force a reduction in nicotine levels in cigarettes.
He's been all for (basic) regulations within the e-cig industry.
Mainly for equipment safety, and e-juice standards.
Wonder how he'll feel about this latest news?

He's not a heavy smoker at all, I suspect he'd quit if they mess with them vs. smoking more.

He didn't like vaping, but didn't have the patience to find a liquid he really liked.
He was one that wanted it to taste *exactly* like a cigarette.
I did too, at first. But after the first couple of weeks I got past that.
This is something the FDA should have done years ago!!!!

You really think so?
I'd like to see them look into all the different chemicals that are allowed in US cigarettes.
From what I've read, smokers in other countries, mainly European countries, have far fewer medical issues than US smokers, yet their number of smokers are much higher...course, I could be wrong on that, haven't read much in awhile.
My initial thought was that people would smoke more if the nic was lower, I know I would have.
Dr. F also mentioned that in his post regarding the news from yesterday...
FDA announcement: a policy change of endorsing harm reduction?

Not trying to be argumentative, just curious as to the why behind your thoughts on that. :)

Wouldn't happen to be the forum CruiseCritic? Yeah, there are some serious cruisers out there. But that site is awesome for gathering information. Even down to which rooms are better on exact ships.

No prohibition on posting links for other forums. We even are ok with other ecig forums. There are a couple that we won't allow but our software will ***** star them out.

Good morning OBG and Paul

Paul, I hope you have a terrific time at the museum. You definitely deserve some fun after all that hard work you've done. :)

Lori, maybe I should get to trying those flavors after all. I don't want to wind up loving the unflavored. o_O That could be bad. You've definitely given me something to think about.
It's not a bad thing either. ;) While I haven't wanted to smoke in over two years now, I don't want to deal with the possible temptation.

I forgot to tell you, my parents are on a cruise. For their 25th anniversary (mom and stepdad ) They went to Alaska. Thank goodness they are on the Norwegian and not the Princess Emerald (I think). The latter is the one where the husband murdered his wife because she wouldn't stop laughing at him.:( DH has a coworker on that cruise. I can't imagine continuing after what's happened, but I wouldn't want the whole trip to be canceled either.

YES, that's the one, and yes they are definitely serious.
It seems like a nice group of people though, like here. :) I haven't posted, just reading.
I've gleaned some good info though. I like that they even have info on the different ports of call.

It sounds like things have changed in the last 11 years since we last went on one.
I guess if you live near a port, that opens up being able to book those last minute trips, I hear savings on those are HUGE. So maybe that's why some have taken so many, but it's also kind of mind bending how many have taken several TransAtlantic, and trips to other foreign countries.

I skimmed the rules, didn't see anything. Thanks for posting that, your version is a much easier read.

You can play with the flavors. I doubt you'd be tempted to go back to smoking...unless they took away your vape. ;)
Oh that's awesome!! That's one I would like to eventually take too.
DH's sister and her family just went, but it wasn't that ship either...they're back already, but I know that wasn't the name of their ship.
There's a thread on that forum I mentioned about the murder. :( I just skimmed parts of it, but there is a person posting who is on the ship, 4 doors from where the woman was murdered. They heard her screams.
Just so very sad. I can't imagine the mood after that.
The woman said that her BIL, and 4 other men were about to break down the door when security arrived with a key.
Because of the situation (murder), it said that two of their stops were skipped, and several excursions were cancelled.

    Good morning Dale.
Yea that you have Bela tonight, ugh that you have to grocery shop every Sat. a.m. :(
I could use a couple things from the store myself.
    Out of kitchen trash bags.:nah:

What did we do before trash bags?? *shudder*
Years ago there wasn't as much plastic waste and we burned trash at home.

Really? Doh! I knew there was talk of them coming home. Oy vey! Lol

Well, even if you don't finish for the next 20, it will still be early ;)
    All done! :D

    ...can we say crap??
Add that to the list of things I've forgotten.
I certainly hope so, I'm bad to say that all the time!

I'm sure you guys have already tried this. But when I finally jumped on the DIY train, I made unflavored. Mostly because I don't have the time to experiment with flavors. I do have a few but honestly the unflavored is still keeping me off the real things so there sits the flavors in my vape tote. I was amazed at how much unflavored reminds me of an actual cigarette.

Maybe he will decide to quit.
Lots of ECF members use unflavored all the time :)

Are you talking about the timer for posting? Yes, I have that power. No, I won't use it. :p
    :p

I'd love to see less plastic being used, but I think that horse has left the barn. :(
We have a neighbor who burns his trash, right here in town, well small town.
He's 82 I believe, old habits I guess. But yeah, he burns it PLASTIC and all. It's smells so bad when he does, but he was on the village board for YEARS, and years, and no one will say anything to him. :glare:
We ALL pay for trash pick up though. It's mandatory. Trash, yard waste, and recycle.
