In your nightmares
Good morning Joey, Dale, OBG, KC, and the sleeping lurkers. :wub:

Lovely Sunday brunch and inspirational quotes, as always. :wub:

No rain here, but very cool overnight with heavy dew.

Didn't sleep quite as well as Friday night, but it was better than nights earlier in the week, so I'll take it. :thumbs:
I'm moving around A LOT better!!! :banana:
Getting up and down, in and out of bed, getting dressed, and just generally feeling more "normal". :nun:
The external spots aren't nearly as tender, nor is the area inside.
Thinking the worst of it is behind me, and honestly, while a lot of it was definitely uncomfortable, I wouldn't call any of it unbearable.
It was more uncomfortable before the appendectomy than after.:thumb:
...but, I hear that a lot about various surgeries, especially knee replacements. That the pain before is a lot worse than the pain after.

Will just be glad when I can lift and carry Rita like normal.
I think I just have a few more days before I'm released for that.
Oh, and I have to downsize my purse. :oops: :laugh: :lol:
Will DEFINITELY have to downsize my purse. :rolleyes:
Good morning Lori :)

Glad you're feeling better :)
oops....can't use that word...even the longer version of it. :laugh:
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Think we will be getting quite a bit today and tomorrow :thumb:

Strange o_O :laugh:

Good morning Lori :wub:

Glad you're doing so well! :w00t:

Lols, are you saying your purse weighs more than 10 pounds?! :shock: :lol:
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I know what you mean, tons of stuff in mine that hasn't seen the light of day in forever :rolleyes:
Mine is more stuff I *might* need. :facepalm:
Stuff that I occasionally seem to need, but still, stuff I don't need to carry on a daily basis.

I've always looked in awe at these women who carry these teeny, tiny purses. :lol:

:lol::lol::lol:

Figured it out!
...second letter is "R"

Good morning Lori :)

Glad you're feeling better :)
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

So, last night DH was telling me how *loopy* I was after my surgery. :facepalm:
I guess he'd called me after I was out of surgery, and of course, I have NO recollection. :laugh:
The gal who babysits Rita was there sitting with me after I came out of surgery, and I guess they exchanged stories...of me and my loopyness. :lol::lol::lol:
...I don't believe them. :D

I think DH is sad that he missed that part.
Once after a colonoscopy, when I was coming out of the anesthesia, he had a really fun time teasing me. :facepalm:
...of course, I don't remember THAT either...well, parts I do.

I keep telling him...payback's a you know what. :lol::lol::lol:

Sue said I was funny when I was coming out of surgery also lmao
Mornin' luvs :wub:

I'm glad you're recovering so well Lori! I really think not doing painkillers help in a faster recovery. At least that's been my experience. :)
Good morning Robin :)

I agree, but I only really have ever had my tonsils out, and some polyps removed via colonoscopies, so I don't have much to compare with. I've never really taken much pain medicine. Anything with codine makes me sick, with food, or without, so when I have had a Rx for that, I pretty much took one dose and then Tylenol after that.

According to the nurses, it also makes a big difference what kind of shape you're in prior to surgeries and/or procedures, and any other underlying health issues present (diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, etc.).
Thankfully, I was healthy otherwise, and at a good weight.
I take a BP med, but it's very low dose, and could most likely get off that if I'd follow a better diet and exercised regularly, instead of sporadically.

Lol's. Yep...fun stuff.
He said I was "fine", just funny.
Seems I kept showing people my tummy. (Family) :facepalm: :lol::lol::lol:
*sigh*

I do remember "losing" a day (in my mind).
I kept referring to things that happened before surgery as "yesterday", when it was still "today". :laugh:

    Gosh, sounds like you'll be able to relax the rest of the day. :)
    That's too bad, but I don't know how much of any of that we can control.
