Good morning, Lurkers![emoji4]. Sitting here in the dark unable to go to work as it's in the dark, too. We've had a regional power failure. Our whole town and all outlying areas are dark. This one, I can't fault our city's power because the issue is with the larger power company. Oops, the power just came back!! Down for one hour. Glad it wasn't any worse. Hope everyone has a good day!

I hope we are prepared for this weekend. We have a tropical mess in the gulf that is possibly going to hit Texas in the the right spot to get us good. If this storm fully organizes, they are talking 20-24 inches of rain over the weekend. I guess I'd better get up on the roof and fix a roof leak we have.

Had to look at where Weimer is located! Sure hope things don't get bad there. I'm much further north so probably no rain here.

If this thing hits between Brownsville and Corpus Christi, we'll be right for a direct hit. Any further east, then Houston gets it.

You get all the northern storms and lots of rain up in the metroplex Seems I am always seeing the Dallas area getting hammered. And more tornadoes up there, too. We've had a couple, but no big deal. And being where I am, I miss a lot of the stuff that hits Houston or San Antonio.

Yep, one of those things we on the Gulf Coast have to deal with every year...always have a hurricane kit at the ready. ;)

Stay safe Paul.

Good afternoon, Angel. Living where you do, it's good to be prepared every season. They've just issued advisories, including my county, for tropical storm watch. They say it might even strengthen to hurricane status before making landfall. You're going to be on the wet side of this thing, so be prepared for flooding. Ought to be a challenging weekend.

Oh yeah, anytime something enters the Gulf, we keep a close eye on it...but unless it's a major storm, to us it's just a brief nuisance...after all, we survived Katrina. ;)

Yes, you most certainly did! That was a seriously bad one. Our last one was bad, and that was Ike 9 years ago. We all don't need another awful one.
