Good morning, Dale, Fran, KC, Sara, Lori and Lurkers:wub:

Well, half the weekend sure went by fast! I need a 5 day weekend! I never did start tearing apart the RV. The ceiling was full of water, so I drilled a hole and let it drain into 5 gallon buckets. It drained all day and was still a fast drip last night. Need to find a place for everything in the trailer and get ready to just tear it completely out. Going to get rid of it all and start new. It's going to be more like one of those mini houses than an RV. I'm going to keep it on axles and wheels so it's still an RV and won't affect my property taxes and shouldn't need a building permit to fix and RV. Don't plan on ever moving it. If it's stopped dripping this morning, I'll cut a bigger section of ceiling out to let it better dry out.

All of you enjoy your Sunday! Fran, it was so good to see you again. Was hoping you were doing alright.

Careful Paul it's not much over an inch thick on most I've looked at :2c:

It's not thick at all. Just a 2X6 cut into a radius and the ceiling is only 1/4" plywood with some sort of wallpaper cover. But the roof itself is shot, too, so I'm going to rip it all out and do a complete new top end. Going to rip out the wall panels too so I can check out the rest of the trailer. The floor is bad in spots, too, and could be related to the roof leak, maybe going down the inside of the walls and saturating the lousy particle board flooring they use in those things.

Yup,you would think they could use marine plywood considering what they sell for new, something you might look into is rubber roofing my soon to be ex neighbor hauls the stuff and when they find a flaw in a roll he said Firestone doesn't want it back so they just cut it up and throw it away :2c:

Another good place for a good dust mast till it's all cleaned out mouse poop and black mold in most of them :2c:
