No fancy silk threads like @oldbikeguy suggested.
I'm going to try to avoid trying the silk, what you don't know about, you won't miss. Lol's. I've heard they're beautiful, and wonderful to stitch with.
The shop didn't have much of a selection, a few kits, a few stitching pattern books, but a very limited selection.
They did have DMC floss, and their price for them was good, but I'm all set with that. Maybe an odd color, or replace something I've run out of.

Nope, no splurge, but I did go online looking for a sewing cabinet, and I think I hit the jackpot.
DH told me to email and ask if they would hold this until we got back, and they said they would!
So hopefully they will.
The machine is exactly the same as mine, so even if it doesn't end up working, I have parts!
