Gotta remember my snowbrush for today. Keep walking past it in the garage. Maybe 2-4 inches. So far they've not been accurate, so we'll see.

We got a once in a decade event here. It snowed!!! I don't know how to even remove the snow off of my truck! I don't even own a windshield scraper. It was only a few inches, maybe 3 or 4, but it's just something that doesn't happen here. That's all the news has on right now. It's also 30º now, so pretty darned cold for us.
Guess I'd better try to get my truck cleaned off so I can get to work. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Very cold and wet here...the line of sleet, snow is slowly dipping down into our area...have been reports of sleet around already...I decided to tell the bosses I'm not comfortable driving over to get that check this morning...I don't think the roads are icy yet right here, but I have to cross several bridges and I'm just not comfortable with it right now.

One of the great advantages of being retired! As long as the freezer, fridge and pantry are stocked I don't have to venture out! And I always wondered why my mom had an unbelievable amount of toilet paper stocked up! OH my goodness, I have become my mom

Glad you decided to stay put! I hated the days of being told to brave the icy roads or don't show up for work later! As Mr. Chill and I got older we realized our vehicles and our lives were worth more!

Down the street from us there is a house that sits at a T intersection, fairly close to the road. They have a couple of big boulders in their front yard to protect their house. When I left for work, I saw fire trucks and police, lights going.....bet ya can see where this is headed. Front end of an SUV stuck up on top of one of those boulders. It was a tad slippery this morning, we had gotten about 2 inches from my first post til the time I left for work. Seems to have stopped now.

Boulders were a good idea then. Must've been sliding at a pretty good clip to end up on top of one.

Didn't start until I was out at lunch running errands for the office and all of a sudden huge flakes were coming down...roads are already getting slippery...we do have salt trucks on standby, but that's just for major thoroughfares, so our little roads around here are what will get dangerous...thinking I'm going to ask to leave work early so I can go ahead and get the Princess and get back home while it's still not too bad.
